I like how Joe just sitting there in the corner and smiling, admiring Mancuso's playing.
The mutual admiration was very cool. Seeing the smile from JB as you mentioned, and the looks he gave to Josh Smith while MM was soloing. Just so damn cool to see that.
when the legend is smiling and look at you like he is a spectator ( bass player too , sec guitar too and organ plyer too) that means you re somebody as bernie mac said
I am so happy that he performed at his best. Its not easy folks, big stage, Joe Bonamassa trading with you and everybody recording. Pressure is friking hi. Really excited about Mancuso.
Great showcase of two outstanding talents. Love the contrast of Joe in his trademark classy suit and shades and Matteo in blue jeans and a red, hooded sweatshirt. Memorable!
what a freakin solo from Matteo !!!!!
Dude on steroids, damn
And yeyo@@giovannivicentini8362
I love how Joe looks over and is just like wow, get after it kid. Awesome. He’s playing with two masterful guitar players too. Matteo on some sort of other level.
Love that Joe brought Matteo out and let him rip.. Matteo was definitely including some fierce blues licks in his solo! I'm thinking Matteo walked off that stage thinking.. "Man, that was a blast.. I gotta' play more blues"! Loved It!
Love that Joe brings this young man on stage and gives him his props. Two amazing prodigies just shredding. Joe's band is always 2nd to none. I could watch them play all night long.
Entro, spacco, esco. CIAO.
Fenomeno.
Sensational stuff. I love it when the bass player is watching them both. He has the best 'seat' in the house. And to think Josh Smith is onstage too. Wow, great footage.
That was exactly what I was thinking...!!! He's standing grooving from his place higher up just watching... - you can see how great the chemistry is - everybody appreciating everybody!!!
Matteo is such a breath of fresh air!❤
Great Joe. As for Matteo, I don't understand who says he just shreds. Is it possible they didn't notice the dynamics he put into his fantastic solo?
They don t notice cause are not musician or guitar players. Most of them don t like genre also.
I love this video ,the way Joe is watching Matteo's playing and he's smiling , this new generation of guitar players is really awesome
Mancuso is a one off
Joe B, Vai, Satch, Di Meola, Govan...and many others have sung Mateo's praises.
Technically, he's the freshest player to come around in a few years.
He is the real deal.
Our young and beloved boy from Palermo (Italy).
Thanks Joe for the opportunity
Mancuso is great!!
Obviously
Could have wait my all life to see that... ❤❤❤
Favorite guitar moment for me
Matteo straordinario
matteo s solo gave a new dimention to the song , jazz , tapping and others! the end was faboulos but we didnt here it properly because of the noise
OK Bonamassa.....Ok Mancuso !! The best
Josh Smith sitting on the other side of the stage thinking "I can do that". Funny thing is Guitar World included this video in an article about Matteo and Joe playing together and didn't even mention Josh Smith, who I believe writes articles for them.
Josh Smith is part of Joe's band (I believe for the past 3-4 years since Kirk Fletcher left), so I guess they mentioned the "Joe's Band" and not every member individually.
Mancuso is the new generation of guitar playing. I would love to hear Guthrie Govan and Matteo playing together !
Me too! ❤
Grazie Joe per dimostrare che sei un vero Gentelman🎸🎸Grazie Matteo per la tua umiltà di un giovane talento❤
Matteo's style is something very refreshing in blues world and just to say it's damn cool... thought shreding is rock and roll thing, lord, was i wrong
Matteo's Solo 4:00 cool licks: 4:19 4:28 4:31 4:39 4:42 4:52
Joe's solo 5:33
Matteo & Joe 7:00
Reese solo (SRV's key player) 3:02
Let's not forget the legendary Reese Wynans on keyboards. OG for sure. 🤳🙏
Bravissimi. Grazie
😂 was funny how he just got this solo out like I take my cup out from my cupboard 🤣🤣🤣magic and very professional ,great uman well done Matteo 💪💪💪
It's not often you get to see your current and former favorite guitarist on stage at the same time. Well, except that time I saw Eddie Van Halen and George Benson play together, JK
Josh underrated but equally great
4:08 the lick
Also heard it haha
Excellent, thanks for posting!
Mondo Genesis & Mondo Novo:
Recorded History being on stage, the world's two best guitarists with pedigree DN..
Bonamassa & Mancuso!!
incredible live act, superpowered band
Joe he is master blues. Mateo he is sport master. When you play whis master blues, needed listen master))
such a stunning performance, thanks for filming and uploading!
Mancuso forever
Excellent solo from Matteo; Joe a very generous gentleman!
No choice available 🤣
Amazing both!
Phenomenal
Never heard the blues shredded quite like that. He made it work!!!
Matteo Mancuso eccezionale
They've tried to put some pressure on him pointing at him before the solo but... no way, the guy is made of steal with a big heart full of passion. And since the first notes you know that he is on fire.
matteo mancuso the best n,1
two great Italians together...and ''dressed' girls, thank goodness
Grandissimi e un po mi sono emozionato...Matteo, orgoglio Italiano!
esatto!!!! esattissimo!!!!!
Matteo best ,🎸
Joe the Best !
Einfach toll.
😊💙
❤JOE❤
first & nice & excellent guitar liga
This rocks! Drawdownking approves this post!
Imagine getting the point 👉 from Reese OMG the excitement in his playing too wow just wow
👌👌👌
Finally: an Italian great guitarist
@johnnyd9001 Frank Zappa also had Italian heritage.
Di Meola
Frank Vignola, Frank Gambale, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Joe Passalacqua, Pat Martino, the guitar is an Italian affair!!
🐐+🐐
Not Fair, Joe is far beyond great blues player , can't but say again another outstanding performance!. Thats Mateo !!! Bringing it on . Just the right amount of notes make it enjoyable to listen to.❤
Joe is great, but he lacks the soul that Mateo has. Joe is mainly just shredding with a lack of soul
Mancuso - True new wave Prodigy
That's right, show im how it's done, Mattie 😊😄😉
Old time blues with some new blood in it!
Grande jeo per dare visibilità a Matteo nostro, jeo sei una persona speciale ❤
OK so Joe wins on tone that 335 sounds flipping awesome. But I think content goes to mate and boy I'd love to hear mateeo on that 335 😂😂❤ 🎉 great playing guys. Can't beat a bit of Hammond mind. Keep rocking 😮
😮 😮
Is that Josh Smith 🤔
Reverend Don Matteo has no mercy for Bonamassa😊
😄
Lucky the base player, got the best sit in the house and really enjoy this lick....
Matteo can prob play anything, and this is just the beginning…..
Matteo is in a league alone
Same kick like Shawn Lane in Nam 1993 on stage with top musicians ..
@4:15 John, John, its' your cousin. Your cousin Marvin Berry
you know that new
sound you're lookin for, well listen to this.
Oh yeah, and Josh Smith is no slouch either!
actually the best guitarist on the stage is Josh!!!!
@@chavdarpeev2474 Yeah Josh is just over there playing perfect rhythm and happy to be playing!
JB guitars and amps = 1 M$
MM guitar and Line 6 Helix = 4K$
😅😅😅😅😅exactly
I thought Matteo went way overboard and I'm a big fan. The beauty of the blues is to know when to hold back and when to serve the song. His playing here is just a torrent of notes with no thought of the timing and rhythm of the song. And then when Joe tries to trade licks it takes him a good long while to calm the pace a bit and actually do a duel worthwhile. But nerves got the better of him. I would have loved to see him play more tasteful stuff instead. His solos weren't particularly bluesy at all. Better luck next time Mr Mancuso
A long list of bullshits ...Matteo has been simply excellent with his solo in this context ....in this performance there was already a Joe Bonamassa and there was the need for another guitar player with his own style to complement the whole sound of the song and Matteo just did it perfectly. Sorry mate ....you have no idea of how tasteful stuff might sound like if you didn't catch it here.
🍊🍊
Joe's tidy when he's in the mood, but he brought a knife to a gunfight in that exchange
Matteo is always fast and furious, better playing fusion than Blues.
Josh Smith is probably thinking, “I just lost my job”….
Joe is such a great player # 1 on my bucketlist to jam with ,but matteo is well... how can you compare matteo is maybe a little more fluid if that makes sense, his notes seem to float on a fast moving current of water - he is every bit as good as Joe maybe just slips by him ....
Bonamassa , con Mancuso non puoi far altro che elogiarlo, ti riesce difficile fare lo snob come hai fatto con Pino Daniele, , Matteo , quegli occhialini te li gira al contrario , si meglio elogiarlo decisamente..😉🎼
matteo next time less shredding and more heart, you got it
Who are you to say that the two are mutually exclusive!
Good Lord when will people learn that speed doesn't kill emotional content!!
i’m a shredder
Dont forget the drummer
"Proving once again, Italians are the best guitarists". 🇮🇹
I busted out laughing when I read that ha ha ha ha ha
dont be ridiculous
That was brutal, poor Joe will be limping and speaking in a rather high voice for quite a while, I think he's suddenly developed a bit of a twitch too on his left side since, poor bugger 🤣....ouch!
... and the winner is... the dancer on the right side
Matteo is a great player but when you got Josh Smith up there he's the one i would rather see take a long solo as he's just as good a player .
The only reason I never became a pro is way to much time given away to the art I don't think so more than a 60 show a year is to much. O yea I'm not that good or even close but , I have as must fun pretend than actually doing. That said play for what ever reason or not , be happy in the moment because that's all you have when all said and done. Enjoy your life 🧬 and the prosuit of happiness.☄️🌠💫🕳️🌌
and the best blues guitar player on the stage is actually Josh Smith!!!
Matteo decided to go for a crazy amount of notes per second......that's a pity as I feel he overplayed it. I watched some of his videos where he could be more catchy with his playing and I expected something more here. Also the guitar phrasing between the two didn't really work so well?. The guitar duel between with Mr Gales and Joe is much more enjoyable for me but I hope there will be other chances for Matteo.
Got to agree - shredding on the blues kin da worked - but it's Joe's melodic feel that soars. Who is the bloke in the hat that keeps getting in the way?
Mancuso très bon mais hors sujet😢
That was really something. I couldn't tell you what. That kid couldn't back up a singer to save his life. A textbook example of what NOT to play.
WTF....With that style is the singer that got to back him up
Joe lacks the soul a lot of other blues players have. It’s more shredding than feel. I never was a huge fan of his. I love Matteo tho
Frank Vignola, Frank Gambale, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Joe Passalacqua, Pat Martino, Al Di Meola, Joe B. naturally, the guitar is an Italian affair!!
Its a shame they didn add the best guitarist on that stage -JOSH SMITH!!!!
E pensare che qualcuno dice che lo stile di Mancuso non serve, non è applicabile a nessun genere musicale è solo un insieme di inutili virtuosismi ,poverini non hanno capito nulla .Immenso Mancuso
Mancuso reminds me a lot of Gambale. Amazing technique, but makes me feel nothing.
Then you need to listen to more of his stuff. He's on a different plane altogether.
He definitely got laid after the concert. Daje, Matte'!
I'm sure he does but at a Bonamassa concert? nope. its mostly middle aged people.
Maybe you’re right ;)
Tbf I think he's already got a girlfriend haha.
Joe plays tasty , with blues soul ,like Garry Moore or... But this young man just shred and thats all ....
