A great tutorial flight for this truly amazing aircraft. I've been flying it for quite some time now and always enjoy my flights. The setup takes a lot of time, but it's really gratifying. Thanks again for all your great work and take care, Cheers
Q8Pilot, very good job! I am a real ATPL and a very common mistake that I have seen frequently on some products like this is that the engine bleed valves are always open, you only close them if directed by a non normal checklist.
I’m watching this while driving to FS Expo LOL the music makes me assume that the Q8 booth will be at the hard rock hotel! Looking forward to saying hello
I don’t mean to contradict you Q8 but you CAN actually fly SID/STAR using INS. In the SimBrief routing there are coordinates for each fix on the SID and STAR. If you program those into the box it works just fine. I have done that in some of my previous videos with the 742.
Technically, you are correct, you can - or could. But you really should not. It's not realistic and the system was not used for SID/STAR, as the accuracy is way too low and the system is too impractical (limitation of only 9 entries, ...).
@@Bearviation I mean, that really depends on you, no? You *can* fly extremely realistic, basically exactly as in real life. There are some absolute hardcore VAs out there that will treat you like an employee, have dispatchers available via phone, require qualifications, trainings and tests etc. it's insane. Or you can of course just plug in a controller and play in kiddie mode. Or MSFS, in short. :D
Good afternoon Q8, Congratulations for your hard work! Excellent videos! I am very new with X-Plane 12 just got it yesterday. I have been using Elite Simulation Solutions with an Elite Propanel, a PFC yoke and pedals for a King Air B200. I would like to know if you know how can I integrate my existing hardware to the X-Plane software and what upgrades do you suggest for a King Air B350 or 360, MU2B-60, Piaggio P180
Informative... wish you had mentionned and followed the procedure included in the manual... would have avoided the few issues you had on start up😅 Also you lost sound after starting engine1
@@Captainriad I asked Xplane and they said no problem. I'm willing to let you download the sim and give you the license to try. Later you can pay. If the person doesn't well...
Great and informative video I’m just wondering what all these companies who abandoned x plane and ran to MSFS are going to do when MSFS 2024 comes out Are they going to abandon MSFS like they did x plane and scramble to 24? It’s becoming ridiculous how these companies run for a perceived “big pay day” and the “next big thing” X plane was fine and was just getting perfected when everyone jumped ship and I see that happening to the mighty MSFS 20 when 24 comes out Aerosoft already stated they’re focusing on 24 and delayed the A330 for MSFS 20 in anticipation of 24 Prepar3d was dropped like a hand grenade when 20 came out and there were great planes on P3D So all this jumping for pay day is going to ruin the hobby and the industry
Devs abandoned Xplane and P3D because that's simply not where the big market is, and because there was no alternative before. Devs need to eat, you know? Financial priorities and also technological ones. Why would you develop for Xplane and P3D if you can develop for Msfs? The latter makes a ton more sense in every regard, it's the future and it's used by ppl on Xbox too, besides, if you develop for msfs2020 you can use the products in 24, too, thats the part you missed. It's largely compatible with a few adjustments. 2020 isn't dying, the stuff that works in 24 will work in 2020 too. And finally, msfs2020 will be updated and improved even after 24 has released. Thats all announced and official. We need to quit these childish "flightsim wars" people are so close minded nowadays, especially in the simming world. Xplane will be fine, because Xplane has always been niche, nothing changes there. Xplane aint going anywhere either it wont die. P3D is in a weird spot, because the other two do almost everything better.
@@premium3429I think there are a lot of people sticking to P3D only because of the PMDG 777. After it releases for MSFS, P3D might dig it's grave deeper.

Great Stream! Thank you Q8 for this tutorial and the many helpful explanations and the entertaining flight! Enjoyed every second.

If you plan payload/fuel via simbrief, use pounds instead of kg. if you plan in kg ZFW and other weights not same in OFP and EFB. in LBS they are same
Just Flight or Vflyteair for piper in XP?

Sorry to ask you this Q8 but do you know someone that wants to buy a xplane12 license....and a toliss a340?
No one would buy a 2nd hand license. Easy to scam & take it down 😂
