How lucky are Rolling Stones fans that Mick had the courage to ask Sonny if he would play sax on 1981's "Waiting on a Friend"?

Donald Fagen's praise for Rollins at 1:45 begs the question: Why did Sonny never appear on a Steely Dan or Donald Fagen recording?

      Sonny would have refused.

@@OnTheOnlyShipButHalfWannaSink He played on a Rolling Stones recording, but you don't think he would play for jazz lovers Becker & Fagen?

Why does this video title put Donald Fagen first when it should be all about Sonny Rollins?

getting homage from the great Donald Fagen is almost worth learning how to play an instrument, ha!
