When I came to the Lord and learned about the Sabbath I stop cycling or running on Saturday because I felt convicted that keeping the sabbath and spending time with the Lord was more important then my own pleasure on his holy day. There is 6 other days to do those things I’m glad I understood this from Pastor explain those things I do walk in nature or by the beach on sabbath sometimes while listening to my Bible 🙏😍
@@odhiambokevine7843 yes but we must not make it legalistic if one is walking enjoying scenery of God creation I don’t see a problem with it. It’s always about the intentions. When I walk in nature I listen to the Bible while I’m walking God doesn’t expect to not enjoy the sabbath he wants us to remember him that day and glorify him and walking in nature is enjoying is created works so I believe it’s perfectly fine to do that. We are not expected to stay indoor on sabbath. The pleasure it speaks about in that sentence is that some would like to do their own pleasure like shopping or going On a group ride with other that would not be holy so we must used our judgement and pray about it but enjoying nature is perfectly fine I believe if the intent is about God. I sometimes listen to worship song while walking in nature early in morning or at the end of the day of sabbath. Meet with other believers and share thing about God or study with them is good examples of how to keep this day about God 🙏🏻🙌

Those criticizing this are trying to be like the Scribes and Pharisees criticizing everything He said and did, just as they did when Jesus healed the sick and blind, Jesus said it is well to do good on the Sabbath. Jesus answered them saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will you not straitway pull him out on the Sabbath Day? Luke 14: 5 or if it was a child would you leave the child in a pit? What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep , and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath Day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath Day. Matthew 12: 11,12 Or do you believe if someone is sick or in trouble, you should ignore the person on the Sabbath. You sound like a Pharisee or one of the scribes trying to accuse Jesus. Jesus know what was good to do on the Sabbath, it was His day of worship, He made the Sabbath.
Perhaps put yourself in their place. Are they sleep deprived and tired? Are they honestly desiring to worship? Is the sleeping in service a pattern? Is this person someone you love? So think these things thru and pray for wisdom. The Lord will bless you both thru this process. Maranatha!
The most difficult thing is having a split mentality with your spouse about the sabbath. Im asking the Lord to help me in being a light for my family. Lately it has been about fishing. She believes that spending time in nature fishing is not considered breaking the sabbath. I believe is just whatever i feel os my pleasure. Spending time with family is NOT breaking his day.
My questions would be what can I say to someone that says to me I keep the sabbath but I also go to church on Sunday and Friday night with other denominations church’s?
That the Lord calls us to follow him and worship as he asks not as we decide on our own. Scripture shows us he made one day a holy day of communion w him and asked us to rest in him on that day (Saturday, 7th). Our first duty is to learn to love him and that is demonstrated by obedience - we can ask the Lord if he requires us to minister in some additional way - is he calling us to visit other faiths on different days for specific purposes? No need to argue but share Scripture truth and encourage others to seek the Lord for direction. 🙏 God go w you!

I was reflecting the other day on all the infidelity and spiritual laxness that we will have to stomach as time speeds forward - and it was such a disturbing thought... We hv to stay deeply connected and not lose hope or lose our love in the face of increasing madness! ~ stay blessed! 🤗🤗
Again l disagree on the forgiveness. Jesus clearly talked to God on the cross and said " Father forgive them for they dont know what they are doing" This referred to everyone on earth incl those tht persecuted Him"
I disagree with this pastor on cooking on the Sabbath. Tht is very wrong and misleading. God gave us an example during the children of Israel to prepare or gather food before friday sunset & store it so tht its eaten on the Sabbath. U hve 6 days to prepare all menus and store it from Friday sunset until Saturday sunset. The issue is whether warming food in microwaves on the Sabbath is ok or not?

When is the Day of Atonement? Did it start at the cross? seeing that Jesus made atonement for our sins then?

I agree with you. The food should be cooked on the Preparation day, and just warmed on the Sabbath.
