    Thank you a lot for such a great review and the comparison of the bags 👍🏻 This is the best review of these backpacks I've seen so far. It helped me to finally make a right decision regarding which of the two better fits my needs

    Andrew, do you know if the 15 will fit under a coach airline seat in the USA or overseas trip? I know the airlines all vary, but I can't always find overhead space near me. I don't want to leave my equipment too far from me. Great comparison of the two backpacks. Your video makes it possible to see what the differences in storage actually are. Also the tripod carry comparison is something I never even thought about! Thank you so very much!

      I believe that it will fit based on other bags that are roughly the same size or bigger. I haven’t actually tested thought so I can’t say for certain.
      If you know what the dimensions are for bags that do fit, it would be easy to figure out.

    super helpful review, thanks much. looks like 16" MBP might be too snug to fit in the UA15. specs indicate it to be .21" wider, curious your thoughts.

    I sent a 13 back for replacement. The stitching and manufacturing quality control was a joke. The straps weren’t even, the stitching of the padding was completely off, the straps stitched to the front for the pocket weren’t even measured correctly and the pocket on the side had too much material compared to the other. The replacement I got wasn’t much better.. I sold it straight after. Think Tank normally have no issues but they’d want to sort out the Vietnamese factory or wherever they make this one and get them to wake up and have some pride in doing the job right. It’s a great design but the discrepancies before leaving the factory are disappointing.
    Even on their own advertisement video with the guys from ThinkTank, have a look at the straps on the 13 and the 15 when shown from the rear.. The 15 is even and perfect as it should be and the 13 on one strap is perfect and the other looks like it was stitched by someone that was drunk

    Hi. thanks for the video. Do you think the 13 can fit a 14 inch macbook laptop?

    • @AndrewVanBeekOttawa
      @AndrewVanBeekOttawa  Год назад

      I have no way to try that but I doubt it based on how tight a large iPad with keyboard fits.

      @@AndrewVanBeekOttawa thank you for the reply. I guess I have to go with the 15 just to be safe even though the 13 is on sale right now... :(
      Btw, how do the waist straps compared to larger hiking backpacks? Can they really distribute the weight well? They look so small to me.

    • @AndrewVanBeekOttawa
      @AndrewVanBeekOttawa  Год назад

      @@kyleledotnet I do find the pack to be crazy comfortable even when loaded. I took the 13 out last Friday for a 10km, steep hike and never thought about the bag.
      The lower strap on the 13 rides a little high for me so the 15 distributes the weight more efficiently onto my hips.

    Do you find there is an advantage packing the camera on its side vs the normal way?

    • @AndrewVanBeekOttawa
      @AndrewVanBeekOttawa  Год назад +1

      You have me stumped. I don’t know what the normal way is. I always pack my camera based on how well it fits and/or how easy it is to grab and take back out.
      This of course is typical for me as I always choose methods that I’ve worked out through trial and error as opposed to recommendations from people who have different circumstances to my own.

      @@AndrewVanBeekOttawa thanks for replying. I ask because I have an a7IV. Most CSC cameras are far smaller than DSLRs, so as a result, in many camera bags they end up getting thrown around. I’ve only ever found the BP 150 Tahoe to fit properly.
      When I saw you pack it in its side it made me wonder 🤔

    Good video, there is not many videos on YT for this great bag especially for the UA 13. Very helpful! What about new MacBook pro M1 14 inch, will it fit in Urban Access 13?

    • @AndrewVanBeekOttawa
      @AndrewVanBeekOttawa  2 года назад

      Based on the tightness of the fit of a 13” iPad with a case, my guess is that the 14” would not fit into the 13. Even a 15” MBP is tight into the 15 so the there isn’t a lot of wiggle room. Maybe it’s time that they make a UA 14? 😉

    This was very helpful, Andrew, thank you. Do you know where I could buy this bag in continental Europe? It seems really hard to find. The Urban Approach, which I understand is the older model, is available everywhere, for some reason.

    • @AndrewVanBeekOttawa
      @AndrewVanBeekOttawa  2 года назад

      I actually don’t know. I live in Canada and bought mine close to my house. I did notice it come up on Amazon UK but I don’t know about Europe.

    This is a great review. Quick question. Do you know if you could use either bag as a “personal item” allowance in an airplane? Thanks.

      @AndrewVanBeekOttawa  Год назад +2

      Yes, I have used the 13 as my personal bag on a plane. The 15 isn’t that much bigger.

    Could you please tell me what is the exact size of your 15" MBP? My laptop is exactly 36x25x2 cm, which are the specs on Think Tank's website. I wander if it really fits or if it's a bit too tight.

    • @AndrewVanBeekOttawa

      You will have to look it up unfortunately. I sold it since that video sorry.

      I've found out that it doesn't. I asked a local store and they actually measured it.
