I love the original, and you have equaled it! Absoulutely commendable. Thank you from a garage band bass player who grew up musically when this first came out, the son of a semi-professinal jazz pianist mother who taught me to appreciate the specrtum of music.
Pity those who never knew or got to know the genius of John McLaughlin and the MO. I didn't get to see them perform in the mid-70's, but did later in the early 80s when the album "Mahavishnu" was published. John and the rest of the band basically played the whole set with their eyes closed, as if they were meditating with the same mind set, and I'm not waxing sentimentally. For me it was an awesome musical and spiritual experience. I'm 67 and can still see it in my mind, with his violin player shredding his bow, and the drummer occasionally hitting an 8 foot diameter gong behind him, as the band members chanted "the belove-ed" in unison before breaking into another song.
nice ... I like your own spin you put on it ...great performance
Tks ! Glad you like it !

There's a note not quite right on the guitar intro. 🤔
Yeah, this is very good but you've only played the gentle intro to this track. Where is the heavy stuff?!
