Theres something so relaxing listening to rain falling, when you're warm, cosy and dry. Just yourself for company is just what you need sometimes. Peaceful. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Your videos just make my days they give us all some thing to look forward to and are a joy to watch keep doing what you love because you help so many people having some thing good to watch and enjoy
You make a one night camp look so relaxing, no fuss or bother. Coffee in the rain under the porch perfect to me, I'm watching tucked up in bed and the air is much cooler this evening.
Your videos always are thumbs up there is nothing like camping 🏕 in the rain, I love to camp in bad weather. I learn so much from you. I always learn new things, and learn how to improve things I already learned. I have used the product you are going to eat. They aren't to bad. I love camping 🏕 alone I have grown quite fond of your channel 😊 good job and stay safe.
I do a bit of mtb riding, and a 3 in 1 coffee stick is simply easy and convenient. Used with my Jetboil gives me a coffee in less than a minute. Great work Dan.
Yes. I save them for outdoor trips or bike rides using a Trangia burner. Bought a Nalgene stainless 32 ounce water bottle for a good price of eBay during the heatwave which holds more cordial than my usual stainless cup with spout. PS, I use one of the long ration pack spoons for spooning coffee from large jars at home. PS, Sandy, (Wiltshire man) uses a brass Optimus Svea stove whereas I have a vintage Optimus 80.
Camping meals not bad I like the wayfarer ones just heat up But are heavier Trouble is I watch these vids and I am then itching till I get out ! Great ! Keep em coming
Hi Dan, I used those coffee things for years but now I prefer coffee bags, get them in Tesco made by Taylor’s, and they are the same as a tea bag but with real coffee however you do need a creamer so I go to Amazon and get french vanilla, beautiful. Take care stay safe.
Always going to get some condensation in a single skin tent, especially in wet weather because you spend more time in it. You should try a canvas one. Heavy but no problems like that and you can have a nice fire next to it without a problem. The fire gives you something to do when you are solo. Regards JB.
I like that set up you've got I like to dangle in the woods normally But I'd give that a go Nice vid mate I camp around the East riding of Yorkshire 🌲🔥👍
D I love your camping videos Dan I can no longer camp due to Osteo And Rheumatoid Arthritis so watching you camp, especially in the rain, is the next best thing 😁 Do you have anywhere I can send you some of my favourite coffee sachets or/ and a gofundme account. I would love to send you money for your Steaks, when you are a little skint😉🤠 Those steaks are my favourite part of the videos. Keep the adventures going Dan and thank you for sharing with us.
Great camp matey. Yeah I use 3in1 coffees Nescafé Carmel ones. Really nice. The new NYC coffees are nice too u get like 12 for £1 not bad. I use them for work with my jetboil in the work van hahaha 👍
I use the 3 in 1’s very handy and sometimes I use the fancy starbucks ones and have caramel lattes.. when I did my budget camping video I even did home made 3 in 1s LOL 🤣
been thinking about getting another sleep mat. should I go for as large as I can get, putting weight to one side?. as something of gram counter it goes against my instincts, but then more certain of blissful sleep...
I have used the 3 in 1’s before but I’ve gone a bit snobbish and changed to just the coffee bags 😆 no milk no sugar just the roast coffee in a tea bag 👌
The perfect camp 👌 im out on a first bivvy camp soon using the oex bivvy bit apprehensive but looking forward, always use adventure food or wayfarer dan 👍
If you do get bitten by the mozzis, boil some water for a brew, stir with your spoon, then put the hot spoon on the bite area, this will kill the proteins and neutralise the poison. You'll still have got bit, but it won't itch half as bad. Make sure the spoon isn't boiling hot when applying to bite.
Don’t use sachets preferably decant coffee into a small container and take milk Obviously only any good on an overnight camp any longer and you have to use them Nice video just chilling
I have the green packs of the 3 in 1 Nescafé but I’m not a big fan of them. I recently discovered cafe con leche instant coffee by cafe bustillo and it’s flipping amazing. My wife and I used it all weekend last weekend on a Bushcraft camp trip with the Florida Bushcraft group and I believe most of the other coffee drinkers were using it as well.
I’m not a huge fan of those “meals”. Most have too much sodium. I would rather have the choice to add salt. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.
I love looking at your kit? Can't wait to see you skinny dipping 😜... Decent tent that I'm liking it... 3in1 sachets,,,okay every now and then but get a bit nasty after a few mugs... as for the stove I'm still using the jet boil after three years so it's money well spent... Have you tried the Hoka or inov8 walking boots very comfortable in the summer months... It's a 👍👍👍from me...
Maybe drop one pole a few inches and the other 8 or so inches to let the rain drain better. I always wonder if those kinds of tents a prone to leaking in the screen because the overhang is to small length wise. Looked like a fun night keep it up.
The trouble with those adventure food packs is they seem ridiculously expensive for what they are, I tend to just take some leftover curry and warm it up, or even just some pot pastas
What a nice relaxing video. Too bad about the condensation..it's quite a bit Since watching your videos, I’ve been drinking 3 in 1 coffee and hot chocolate, it’s like having dessert Looking forward to the next video. Take care 🇨🇦 ❤️
Nice one Dan, love that sound of the rain, I also like the adventure foods pouches, got a giveaway on my channel as I bought a load from Go Outdoors last week and they seem to be popular with my subscribers, great channel as always cheers Chris....🙂
I got rained off the hills in the Peak District on Wednesday (probably when you did this?). I had the complete works on and still got soaked through. It was grim. Worst thunderstorm in 40 years of hill walking 😩 Bloody met office ...
The coffee is great but I like to take a couple of Costa sugars or other brands found ."if it ain't raining it ain't training" as another great RUclipsr would say ( #corporalscorner )
Why did you not slope the porch roof as required to avert the rain accumulation? It should normally be sloped anyways! I would also have a portable chair when hiking! I guess your fave company OEX does make junk after all!!
Don’t use them, I drink tea! As for rain pooling on the canopy, lower one of the support poles by a foot or so and pull taut as you can, rain will all run off at that corner.
@@englishwoodsman Yes !! I did notice, but it didn’t leak and soak you and your gear ..nice looking tent, I like the design of the porch to shelter under .. When your doing your first time tests out in rainy conditions, do you ever take a tarp with you to throw over a tent just in case it leaks ???
Hey up Dan. I was camping in the lakes a few weeks bag with ante who had a trekology pad and during the night, because he'd left the inflation valve nearer to his feet and he moves about a lot in his sleep, he kept kicking the valve open. It happened about three times before he swapped ends lol. I wonder if this maybe happened and you slept through it? Or was it more like a slow puncture kind of thing?
Theres something so relaxing listening to rain falling, when you're warm, cosy and dry. Just yourself for company is just what you need sometimes. Peaceful. Thank you for sharing 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to make these. Been a great journey watching all your old ones over the last few months.

Another great video. I love black coffee no sugar. Coffee bags are great. Like tea bags with ground coffee ☕️
I don't go camping ANYWHERE without my 2 in 1 coffee sachets... A lot easier than taking coffee and separate milk!
Top vid again fella 😁👌
100% agree mate
Cool little tent. I usually use the instant coffee packs by Death Wish Coffee when I camp

Therma cell is a great addition to gear. Use mine every time I car camp. Last overnight hike/camp I wished I’d carried it.

I like the 3 in 1 type coffee sachets. I use QD and particularly like their latte sachets. They are just easy.
Hot chocolate ones are nice just before bed time
I use 2 in 1. They are quite good. I use them when dinghy fishing.
If your tarp is clean why don't you use it to replenish your water bottles.
Grind my own ,home roast Coffee , prefer it to ready ground Coffee's but would use those ones if I had to , easy to carry .
Two in one sachets of coffee are handy , I also use coffee bags ( like a tea bag ) for a stronger brew . 👍
