About a month ago you reported on a heist of an armored car that was going to Pasadena from the bay. I remember the story said it was the highest dollar amount in US history. What happened after? Was the van or merchandise ever recovered, was anybody ever apprehended, is there any information on who or how it was done? There are so many stories that get reported on but never followed up on. Is there a way to find out about older stories without having to spend a day researching?

The get-away car was a four-door car (Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai?) and the car they show being swarmed by cops was a full-sized two-door car (Mopar). Come on guys, open your eyes! smh

This isn’t the 1970’s, the mobs control in Los angels isn’t what it used to be and even if organized crime was connected to casinos they wouldn’t care since all that money is insured. I would start by looking at the guard who had minor injuries. Usually the guard that gets hurt is the innocent one and the guard who by appearance was slightly injured is the inside man. He has minor scrapes to cover up his end of the deal

Plot twist the guard that got shot in the leg is the mastermind behind the heist. He told his partners when and where to be and how much he was going to carry. He told them they had to shoot him in the leg to cast as much doubt, that he was in on it, as possible. I hope he rides off into the sunset and his lady is waiting for him in paradise.

That’s what I’m thinking also , most casinos have cameras everywhere inside and outside and I’m sure the business beside them and in front of them have cameras im sure . Dealing with that much money on a everyday, all day basis. It’s just really sad to think or at this point know that whom Ever did this was sitting and waiting and then opened fire as soon as the truck pulled up . Not caring who they hurt. innocent people . It just doesn’t make sense to me . I’m fighting stage 3 breast cancer and I still get up and work my butt off to make sure my family has what they need and some of there wants . This should've been a lesson from the Hollywood shootout. Not only do our armed guards need intermediate cartridges for situations like this, but an SBR for the passenger officer to be able to maneuver through the vehicle more freely. Also lvl 3a vests couldn't hurt but I understand most agencies won't dish out for that kind of equipment. Hope the officers make a speedy recovery
