Product seems great, but, I went to the website and the item lists zero information. They seem to think leaf spring plates are a 1 size fits all application- NOT. Before I would even consider forking out 275 crackas for a set, I would need to know what the largest size u-bolt diameter (including washer fitment) is that these plates will accommodate (example beefy 5/8") and what the widest spring (example 2.5") that could be fit in between the u-bolts is.
I just bought a set from you for my 2nd gen camaro and they def help plant my tires harder. One suggestion is to widen up the spacing for the U bolts,I had to redrill/grind mine to like a 3-3/4 spacing to fit them, the cal trac plates have this already done to be more universal
I'm not fully understanding the importance of bar angle on a caltrac. I know bar angle on a 4 link changes instant center but just not grasping this idea can you please explain what it does.
@@oscarc.1571 that's what I'm not understanding because you can't change tire bite with a caltrac because IC can't be moved in a leaf spring set up. Maybe MAK will chime in soon.
@@jchaire3622 it changes the angle of the bar which gives the actual caltrac piece bolted to your frame more leverage on the front of your spring. Leverage helps it separate from what I understand. I’m new to leaf springs like I said in the video. We needed more separation. I was told to get more angle on the bar. So we made these brackets and it helped. So we started producing them. If you want more explanation you’ll have to google the patent on how the caltrac piece itself works because it’s all still new to me buddy
I have an idea these brackets gave me. It dates back (ancient times haha) to dirt track racing, and maybe it would work on a caltrac vehicle. Gimme a shout with an email and I'll send it to you.
I am assuming that the shock mount area is capable of supporting the weight of the rear of the vehicle? Is their clearance to run a full coil over on it?
That bracket is sweet!
Installing a set in the morning 👍
you guys should make an adjustable housing floater for the ladder bar leaf spring guys🤙🏼
I have the ride height bar angle problem so my car has to sit pretty high. Going to buy these asap.

Looks very similar to the funkhouser racing already makes
Iet me know when you make them for the shock in the back and one in the front
And I have a couple them ordered for a 2000 S10 frame with an eight-point 97 Ford rear end
I like the brackets. How do I go about getting a set for my 68 Camaro?
Can you do a video showing adjustment and benefits to the brackets?
Sure can
The bottom of the strut bracket looks like it would drag on the ground?? Or ver close
Looks really good man. What did you have to make a spacer sleeve to bring the shock out off the bracket a bit?
Yessir usually a aluminum lug nut spacer works great for most applications
How do I get a set and will they work on 75 Nova?
Where can I get a set? Link posted in the description is no good
Do you make a set for the a Camaro ?
Hey Nick, are you still making these?
Where do we go to buy the Gap brackets

As of right now we are working on a solution for stock mounting but done offer one at the moment
@@nickkybobbyinc very interested in the setup when you do

From my understanding it's still like a 4 link it make the tire bite more or less

Changing bar angle will in turn give it more leverage to help separate the rear end.
@@nickkybobbyinc can ya please explain sir. What is it actually changing to make a separation?
