It is very sad. If I was Tyr I would have freed that poor wolf...😥

don't you free Fenrir, he swallowed Odin in the final battle of Ragnarok!

here's a theory: if they had not done this to Fenrir... would he be on the side of the gods, rather than Giants when Ragnarok came? Or by doing these things to the wolf, did they just ensure the prophecy would come to pass?

Well done!!! I will make a bold statement. The wolf is our own anger. Our inner Rottweiler. So therefore it can not be unleashed. Or it might kill us. So try and not be fully on tilt when you are at the pub. Restrain yourself.

Nahh bro... It won't be angry if he got treated with love and respect instead of fear and hate.. And hiding anger makes it even worse

The greek told us many stories, and the vikings did to. We were to learn and understand from them. Matters that we may not be able to figure out by ourselves. In reality the ability to restrain yourself can not be obtained by everyone. So society restrains them with a prison. Either by the dungeons or simply by giving you the evil or contemptful eye at the bus.

I wonder what would have happened if the Aesir just respected Fenrir and not tried to bind him?

The old norse stories have a lot of layers to them.they are meant to be considered from each character's angles.there seems to be no goodies or baddies, just boats of both in all character's.j just like real life
