Thor. The God of Thunder. Founding Avenger, King of Asgard - one of the most powerful heroes on Earth. And then we’ve got a challenger approaching - Black Adam. Both are ancient magical beings, both have crazy lightning powers, who would win in a fight? Well today - thats what we’re gonna find out! We’re gonna analyze their strengths, their weaknesses, their powers and abilities - and especially their lightning - their glorious hair or lack thereof and find out who comes out on top. Who wins in the Battle Arena!
Doesn't Eitri say it will take a "few minutes, maybe more" to heat the metal? He should know, he's been doing it for ages. The time-lapse of 47 seconds could have been so the audience didn't sit there watching metal melt / paint dry for a few minutes and not have to incur the cost of extending that scene. Just my thoughts.
I thought I was the only one had that thought that’s usually what movies do right cut out parts to make scenes fit and watch worthy and not long and tiresome.

Yea pretty much. Eitri has been smithing weapons for hundreds of years, his estimation of "it will take a few minutes, maybe more" is about as reliable as a character statement can get.
There is a detail which Danco is forgetting Thor is has been dodging Photon blasts at close range. Photon blasts travel at speed of light while bullets travel at speed of sound.

No point in this battle we know this fight is going to black adam because of Danco's love for speedsters. Any character that has a bullet time effect in movies automatically wins in Danco's eyes. To be fair that's just marvels problem they don't translate speed very well for all those heroes who react in that time.

For me without weapons, it would be very difficult for Thor to defeat BA. cause BA is so strong and has speed.
No only his speed will be problematic. Thor is stronger so equalize speed and I’m pretty sure he packs more a punch and he knows how to amp his as well with lighting he does that. Plus he’s thougher so just because you get rid of a weapon it isn’t needed it does not give Thor his abilities nor taking it will boost BA durability however it’s the speed difference that will always be a issue in the movie universe.
The only advantage Black Adam would have over Thor is SPEED, not strenght. Thor has insane durability also.
The reality is Odin corrected this, as much as thor loves his weapons, he doesn't need them. He is just as strong without them, they help channel HIS power, not give him power. Now thor has the Odin force, when he learns to use it properly and becomes king thor, black adam is nothing. Think of Hella, thor was more them enough for her after he understood his power, but then they nerfed him AGAIN to not outshine Ironman and mighty thor, no thor is stomping black adam.

Danco annoys me when he ONLY compares based on weapons. For example when he debates who KONG could beat and the contest has the assumption that he will have that big battle axe. There should also be an answer to if he could win WITHOUT the giant battle axe.
When a hero has a weapon, unless loss of that weapon means he is not really the same character anymore effectively (like Iron Man minus the armor or a Green Lantern minus the power ring) then there should also be an answer of how they would do without the weapon.

Do you remember when a weakened Thanos blocked PHOTON BLASTS from Captain Marvel yet Thor scales to a STRONGER Thanos? Or how Captain Marvel searched Thanos' planet in seconds and yet Thor is able to react on par with her easily?
There's also the strength Thor must have exerted to hold on while getting blasted by a star

Are we forgetting that Thor is now the All-Father? This alone puts Thor on a whole new level of power. And take a look at comic book Thor, I think is a lot faster than you think. He reacts to Quick Silver with no problem….
this isnt comic thor, dont use feats from comics to scale the live action version, even then black adam still solo's since black adam can match superman who's WAY stronger then thor.

I think Thor has high heat durability, but the metal frame around the star took the same heat and wasn't affected while Thor withered over time. Loki, Ultron, Gorr, Hela, and Base-level Thanos all have drawn blood from Thor, 2 of which crushed him. Only Sabac made Black Adam bleed... Which he regenerated from. Stormbreaker would make a difference in this is my opinion, but I agree that Black Adam would win after a big fight!
You have to realize that the tech around the Star is literally made to withstand that heat. It’s more than likely enhanced with magic as well. So that’s kinda unfair to point out. Loki and ultron drawing blood from Thor was when the mcu was vastly underpowering Thor for some reason. That all changed once Ragnarok came out. Still not comic level, but they stopped making him look average. As for the other people that injured him. They are literally god level. I actually don’t remember Gorr doing any real damage to Thor. But I also refuse to watch that movie again, so I could be wrong. But Thanos has the power to crush the tesserect in his hand casually. It takes country levels of energy to break the tesserect. Thor was not even knocked out by Thanos literally abusing him. Hela gets a power boost from being in Asgard and he could still hang with her. Had she not had a healing factor there, she would have probably died fighting him. The thing I would say is, it looks like black Adam gets hit a lot by people a lot slower than him. If Thor even lands one hit with stormbreaker to Adam’s chest, it’ll be a problem
@@yoboyrob201 you have valid points, but I would like to correct a misconception that came about in the MCU. The coulomb barrier is not the force needed to break an object, ie the tesseract. That would be either tensile strength or toughness in physics terms. The coulomb barrier is an energy barrier that must be overcome to force two atoms to undergo nuclear fusion, ie a fusion reaction. This is shown by Bruce Banner saying: "He'd have to heat the cube to 120 million kelvin just to break through the coulomb barrier." Stark replied: "Unless Dr. Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the Quantum Tunneling Effect." Banner: "Well if he could do that, he could achieve heavy ion fusion at any reactor on the planet.". Cool story, what does that mean in English terms? If they heat the cube to 120 million Kelvin, (which the sun averages at about 6000 Kelvin), then you could achieve nuclear fusion, unless they could reach a state of cold fusion which is theoretically possible but not feasible yet as of 2022. But that doesn't mean that amount of heat to cause fusion is the same as newton's, or force to be crushed. Glass can be heated to certain temperatures before melting, and far beyond those temperatures before it would achieve nuclear fusion. But it can break under a certain amount of crushing force but is still incredibly strong. Various metals aren't as strong as glasses tensile strength, but we wouldn't go crazy if Thanos crumpled a glass box or aluminum foil ball. It's still a feat that is extremely impressive to crush a crystalyn structure with one hand so effortlessly, but to say that the coulomb barrier is equal to tensile strength is like comparing bricks to bananas: two very different things. If the coulomb barrier did equal tensile strength, and the sun only is 6000 Kelvin, then Thanos would be exerting the energy of 120,000,000 Kelvin, or that of 20,000 of our sun. Without the power stone. That would put base Thanos at the potential of busting entire solar system without the use of any infinity stones... Like dang son, if that's the case, Captain America holding Thanos back in IW for even a second would make Cap as powerful as the Sun!!
Do you see the flaw? But I don't blame you for getting units mixed up, the MCU actually is very flawed in it's scientific accuracy in many factors, not including their attempt to call magic science.
gorr hela and base level thanos would all also draw blood from adam so listing them was pointless also 1 ultron thor would kill easily its the amount of ultrams that cause the problem and of course in that movie thor held back
@@bankhead832 I was just talking about Prime Ultron, the one Captain America did alright against. I'm sure Gorr, Hela, and Base Thanos could hurt Black Adam, just as he could hurt them. I was just bring in who had hurt who in the MCU and DCEU films. Granted Thor is I'm at least 8 films while Black Adam is just in 1, so not a lot to compare him against just yet.

Black Adam is according to the DCEU the Strongest man on earth and Superman is only stronger because he is the strongest in the Universe according to the world they are drafting. By proper scaling Black Adam still power cliffs MCU Thor even if you gave MCU Thor Wonder Woman speed.

Thor can casually dodge those Tony bots blast in point blank without trying avengers age of ultron mind you are all laser beams and, as previously stated, Thor scales higher than MCU Hulk speed. The MCU Hulk can make Abomination move in slow motion. Abomination travels at near-supersonic speeds. As previously stated, can easily catch rockets. Thor's ground speed scales to Thanos's speed. Thanos can avoid Dr Strange's lightning. Thor also ranks higher than Captain America, Winter Soldier, and Spiderman, all of whom can react to bullets and lightning, respectively. Ignoring his control over the Bifrost (which effectively gives him control over the speed of light due to its unique interactions with space-time), Mjolnir flew the fastest I've seen him fly in Thor: The Dark World. The two combatants wind on Svartalfheim in the final battle against Malekith the Accursed, who wields the Reality Stone. Mjolnir is returned to Earth and immediately flies upwards, returning to Thor's hand. Mjolnir not only escapes Earth's gravity, but it appears to travel from the surface to the atmosphere in about 2-3 seconds. It was far, far faster than sound, given that Earth's escape velocity is already 33 times faster than the speed of sound, and Mjolnir exited the atmosphere quickly. Later in Thor: Ragnarok, while attempting to flee Surtur's guard dragon, you can see a mach cone forming in front of him, indicating that he's traveling faster than the speed of sound, if not faster. He appears to be moving slower than Mjolnir exiting the atmosphere in The Dark World, but that could be due to the fact that Mjolnir was about to fly across entire galaxies. essentially he iss capable of relativistic+ flight speeds and MFTL+ via the bifrost, with reaction, and combat speed being FTL - FTL+ so he can easily react to oncoming attacks from black adam. As for why he doesn't appear to be that fast, it's because entertaining the audience is more important than accurately portraying speed. You won't be entertained if you can't track/see the characters' attacks in fights because they move too quickly. Take DCAU Flash, he is explicitly stated to be light speed and can outrun Sinestro's light speed beams, but he is nowhere near that fast visually. When fighting Steppenwolf, Wonder Woman can casually block bullets with slo mo effects but cannot move faster than a regular human. Not to say that these characters aren't fast; they just don't appear to be in certain scenes, which moviegoers can appreciate.

you're right. even though thor is on par with him in strength and durability, speed is goed to black adam and speed in a battle is everything. Don't think you could win a fight if you are not even able to catch up to your apponent so point is black adam is durable enough to endure attacks from thor + he is way faster

@@zionj9832 I think people forget that fact that in the dark world Thor's hammer went from the Sun to the Earth in 2 seconds. Which puts it way above light speed and Thor is shown catching same hammer which means he perceives attacks at lightspeed.

I saw another video that explained Superman's nuclear bomb situation. Superman was still very weak from the krptonite attack from Batman, this is proven by Superman still having the scar on his cheek - if you pause this video at 13:32 you see that he is still suffering the effects of the kryptonite meaning he is far weaker and less durable than normal. He didn't heal until after the nuke and then got affected again before his death. Superman would not have been affected by that nuke had he not was still suffering from k poisoning. Also it was night which delayed his ability to heal, when hit with the sun in space he heals immediately. Also we see Doomsday giving off low yield nuclear level blasts after Supes threw him into the refinery. Batman hid, WW was protected by her shield but Supes took it like nothing.

I still believe that BA needs more feats and this is new movie bias and Wank- same thing happened to Captain Marvel, Scarlett Witch, Etc.. if this is comics it’s still a close fight but you have to distinguish what version of the character you are going to use. Alit of variables. Two characters this strong with one having a weakness to magic and fighting a magical character is a deal breaker, don’t care how fast you are, that cancels his speed out. I think the combat speed of the DCEU is massively overstated just because DCEU directors choose to slow down some scenes and have some stuff like bullet timing. Marvel characters have tons of feats of reacting to lightning (Thor's being a big example), light (Thanos blocking photon blasts from Captain Marvel at the beginning of End Game despite having no warning beforehand that she was there or going to attack), etc. A lot of characters scale to Thanos' combat/reaction speed or near there as well. There should be no blitzing occurring in these fights by DCEU characters unless we're talking about like...... Superman vs Black Widow or some other extremely one sided nonsense.

This is very close, but im going for BA...they both insanely strong and durable but BA is just faster and wiser...one thing they never really show us is "is Thor bulletproof"? If he is with unpenetrable skin, how the heck did the Grandmaster attach the taser in his neck??? I remember the scene where he fough Hulk on the flying Shield carrier, when the Fighter Jet came and opened fire, Thor actualy moved away from the bullets, that was weird, they never showed up Thor taking bullets, they showed Black Phanter, Iron Man, Hulk...hence i dnt think Thor is bulletproof. Whenever a character has bulletproof capability, they always showcase that at some point, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Superman, Shazam, Hulk, Black Adam, Black Panther(suit), Iron-man(suit), but for some reason they never showed Thor taking a bullet, not even a blade being stopped by his skin.
Thor was shown to be bullet proof in Age of Ultron, during the battle of Sokovia.The inhibitor disc is made up of alien technology, so it stands to reason to be capable of piercing Thor skin. It was able to pierce through Korg's skin who entire body is made up of stone or maybe Hulk skin who at one point in the past was a prisoner of Sakaar.

Danco, you seem to be high balling thor's feats while lowballing BA. Thor did not move the rings like everyone thinks, it was not a strength feat, it was a momentum feat with thor acting as the anchor for that momentum.Rockets pod did all of the work. Breaking the rings loose does not equal a small moon feat. Also the the statue Adam lifted weighed far in excess of 100,000 tons, it was taller than the monument and at least 2 to 3 times as wide and not hollow on the inside like the monument and he lifted it with great ease.
