Bro, I don’t know how long you’ve been doing this, the whole production of your videos is really good; From videography to all the way to the content management. Keep up the energy!
Hi Kingsford... I so much appreciate your videos and would want to say you should keep doing this ... You’re really helping some of us. But then could you also make a video on pilot training scholarships or funding available in US and Canada 🙏🏽 or any other country
Hello Master Kingsford. I'm new here and interestingly I'm already learning a lot from your channel. Thank you so much for providing the leadership I'm looking for. God keep you safe bro.
In fact God Bless you on your amazing video about the US Graduate system. It is quite obvious that a first class from a Ghanaian University is no guarantee of entry to top and average US Schools with a full Scholarship. In the short and long term US Schools are not appropriate for everyone coming from the African Continent.
Thanks a lot Kingsley, I'm always glad watching your videos and assured that with my 3:5 in insurance, something will definitely come out. Keep being phenomenal.
Hi @kingsford, how did you calculate your 3.71gpa with regards to American 4 point scale?. In Nigeria, we use 5 point scale. Do we just convert what we got over 5 points into what it could be over 4 points? Or do we use the wes calculated 4 point scale conversion?
I was your student when you were rendering a service as TA. at UEW economics department. Infact you are doing a great job coz you r opening my scope of understand from this perspective
Thanks Please I complete my degree 8 years ago and HND 11 years ago i want to do my masters in MIS in US i don't know where to start, any advice please.
This channel has been so helpful and informative for me honestly. But I'm a Jambite from Nigeria.. And ive been sorting out for schools in Canada and the UK specifically also scholarships but it's been frustrating.im either short of eligibility or funding. I don't know what to do anymore
Victory, with respect to Canada check out this video ruclips.net/video/DNJykPqjLVQ/видео.html But for UK, getting scholarship internally is tough so normally external funding like commonwealth shared sch, Chevening Sch, Alan & Nesta Ferguson scholarship etc However, the aforementioned scholarships have their defined criteria which means you will have to check them out if you are UK fixated! Nonetheless, if its US then stay tuned!
Very insightful. One thing tho... I don't think it's fair that they say GRE is optional but candidates who provide it are seen more favorably. What's the point of not following the rules?
Dear Kingsford, Which unis offers full scholarship fund for undergraduates and can undergrad send a cold email to professors for assistance? Looking forward to hearing from you.
I’m gaining so much value! Thank you for providing us with your impactful content! Please how can I convert my 5 point CGPA to a 4 point CGPA? Thank you!
Hi Kingsford, I don’t think it works that way. It’s not simply a case of mathematical proportions. Her best bet is to get her transcript officially evaluated. I recommend using WES. She’ll have to pay and it’ll probably take some time, but it’ll be worth it. In that case, if we’re using the example you mentioned above, the GPA will likely be above 3.6. Thank you for your highly informative videos. I can’t wait for the one on CVs/Résumés.
I duly understand you Thanks for the heads up. My bad I presumed we all have the same classification. Thus, if the classification with the 5.0 grading scale is similar to that of the 4.0 then it works For instance, if A in the 5.0 scale is 80-100 but if it’s otherwise you won’t get the exact grade using the formula I provided Nonetheless, the approach I provided kinda give you an idea of where you standing 🙌🏼
Alternatively, she could also use the free GPA calculator by WES to find out. It’s a long process where one has to manually input every grade on their transcript. If you’re able to do it without any errors, you’ll find out the equivalent of your GPA on a 4-point scale. However, it’s an unofficial report.
Hi Kingsford, am from Kenya and I graduated from the university in 2015. I did my secondary certificate exams in 2009. Am pursuing an undergraduate scholarship in a different program. Is it possible to get a scholarship based on my secondary school results? Thanks
Hello Kingsford. God bless you abundantly for the good work. I just stumbled on your video and I'm so glad i did. Commenting from Nigeria, graduated in 2020 with a CGPA of 4.3,Accounting and currently on my NYSC. During my earlier years in school, i had some poor grades but i was able to improve. My question is this 1) do i stand a chance because these grades will reflect on my transcript 2) Must your professorial referees be from your institution? 3) Do i need to take TOEFL or IELTS with Nigeria being an English speaking country? These exams are pretty expensive. 4) How do i convert my CGPA to US scale. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work 💪
Hi, Anita! Congrats on your achievement! 1. Yes, Anita! You have huge chance. In most cases, they even consider your 3rd and 4th year results. So don't panic! 2. With regards to the referees, if its 3 then 2 from your alma mater and then 1 from where you doing your NYSC will suffice. But if its 2 recommenders then 1:1 will work. 3. Good point! A lot of schools will waive this requirement since you are coming from an English speaking country and you have a letter to that effect. (PS. I did not take TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo etc. because it was waived) 4. The best resource to use WES, NACES and other organizations. Nonetheless, unless the school requires the evaluation you can apply with your results just as it is. Lastly, you can use this approach to have a rough idea 4.3/5.0 = X/4.0 and find X and then resources like www.scholaro.com/grade-conversion/ will help. Best!
@@kingsfordonyina2101 thank you so much. This was very helpful and i feel so much better. God bless you. One last thing please. Do i need like the bio data page of my passport for my application? Because i currently do not have one 😭
Okafor, Normally US based scholarships or assistantship don’t cover accommodation but the monthly stipend can cater for that and your living expenses. Unless, you are awarded a Resident Assistant whereby you’ll be given free accommodation.
Thank you so much for the video. Infact you're the best. Please can you send the name of the schools you mentioned especially the last three(3). Couldn't get the names please...
Good job bro.... Pls I want to know if am admitted into any universities you just mentioned in this vedio, does it means am not going to pay any amount if I want to resume ?
Please bro how would you address this issue ? If they ask you how would you pay for your tuition fee or sponsor your education when you get admission during the application process is it appropriate to say through family support or financial aid
Hello Kingsford, please I’m Abdul-Latif from Ghana and I have plans doing my masters in the state. My difficulty is that I did a 3 year HND in Marketing and proceeded and did a 2 year distance program in Business Studies at University for Development Studies. Which transcript do I used in the current situation when applying for masters in the state?
Hello Abdul, search for Bowling Green State University in Ohio. I applied with HND and 2 years top up degree and received admission offer. Search for your program, but first email the program coordinator about your qualification before you put in admission

Let Y ( assuming it’s 4.5) be your GPA
It implies
4.5/5.0 = X/4.0
You then find X, which will be 3.6
I hope this helps

Sequence to the grade point you mentioned, there’s no guarantee for any scholarship (s) for a graduate student with less than 3:0 gp right?
Other school considers 2.75+
So in such case your best bet will be taking GRE or GMAT
Thanks for this information sir, Can I apply with a gpa of 2.75?
