11:20 i have been to loads of disused steel mills in the uk ones that are still intact but closed for 5 years them buckets they use for the melted steel are massive the size of a small house !!
I very much admire the intellectual urbex crowd that treats this like true archaeology. Your photos will be appreciated when all of these locations are gone. Stay safe out there.
The part of this vid where you bring back the "life" of this mill with fire in buckets, and fire on wheels with that awesome music... awesomness. Watched that part 3 times. Makes us participate vicariously in getting our boots dirty, exploring times gone by, and breaking a window to live it all again... vicariously vicariously
Thank you so much for this splendid video. From the Narration, the History lesson, the Video artistry to the choices of Music. Yet another fine example of supreme Documentary making. Splitting the History into the 5 acts is pure genius! Here in England, one of my Uncles worked in a near by steelworks, which also had its problems too, then subsequently closed leaving hundreds of workers loosing there livelihoods in the blink of an eye. Sadly my Uncle took his own life due to feeling his self worth had been stripped from him. He had worked so hard in the industry all his life, just like his generations before him. It all brings it home how man can build such enormous complex structures, but yet when times get hard or wrong decisions are made, then lives are shattered and Buildings just left behind in the aftermath. But! Thankfully we have BWT to bring us such breathtaking videos to show us all what we rarely get a chance to see. I'm so proud to be a Patreon supporter of these brilliantly talented people. Thank you for all you do.
It is mind blowing to see such a place, to think man can build such colossal places. My father worked away from home in a steel mill after he left the coal mines. I had a glimpse of were he was those weeks he was gone from us through this excellent documentary. It is always wonderful to see the places and history you share.🖤
God this is unbelievable..I am seeing such a massive place for the First time in my life...mind blowing...rich history....appreciate ur terrific explore...Take care..waiting for more thrilling explores
With your unique and impeccable style, cinematography, editing, and musical choices…you have created a fitting tribute to the many lives that were intricately bound into the story of this place. You frame perfect windows into an earlier time, fraught with mood provoking contrasts and the detritus of a period where men battled the elements to create materials to build a future very different from the past. Sadly, once again, money for the owners triumphed over the hard work and pride of these men, forced to find new ways to provide for their families. You never disappoint, and always inform…thank you for quality content, and stay safe out there.🖤🇨🇦
RUclips randomly recommended this channel some time ago and I was so grateful that I didn't ignore it. Since then I've been binge-watching your videos and I was completely hooked. The cinematography, video editing, and narration in each video were so beautifully done. Not to mention Till's voiceover! Has he ever considered making ASMR videos? 😂 Anyways, this video is terrific. Can't wait to see more of your adventures! p.s. I work in a hospital and we still use that "old" pneumatic tube system to transfer blood samples. Cool findings!
WOW GUYS 😳THIS WAS EPIC !! And it makes me sad as well ....I had tears while I was watching all the jobs lost the decline of the Steel Industry is horrible... huge ladles set cold ...open hearth furnaces and Blast Furnaces set cold.....makes me so sad . Watching those furnaces fall was so 😥!! We have a tube transport like that still where I work !! You are exactly right a HUGE slap in the face .....its HORRIBLE !! You guys are wonderful I love your work !! Any and all explorations are good with me they all are a journey to behold !! Wonderful work guys !! 👍👍Love your channel !!
Since this place was closed in part due to asbestos, I’m glad to see you wearing masks and respirators when in enclosed places. Like offices and control rooms. This place is massive! I loved the contrast between the molds and mosses and the natural decay. In terms of the politicians failing this plant and it’s people., Mr Sarkozy was just convicted and sentenced for crimes of corruption and worse while in office. No surprise he couldn’t be trusted here. Great exploration. Having the stories and the before images added a lot, so thanks to your new French colleague. Bring on more castles and manors!
Till, this video is fantastic! I love the history that you put in as well as the video of the operational steel mill to show what it was like when operating. Thanks to you and your team for providing such great videos!
Another amazing documentary guys! I get really nervous when u explore these places the highth of this cat walks was terrifying! A great history story of steel and the men who broke their backs working it, we owe a lot to them, working conditions were hell!! Thank you to the team of people that help you bring us these wonderful videos!
I grew up in Allentown PA next to Bethlehem Steel it was the east coast's biggest plant now parts have been torn down & repurposed but I remember the derelict building with huge stacks.
@@bwturbex I live a little north of where that was, I haven't seen any decent footage of it abandoned. I think its parts were repurposed and/or demolished before digital photography and uploading videos was popular enough.
Another great video! I love how you wove in the history to tell the whole story. As to the next videos I like anything yall do, but the churches and their detail is so so beautiful. Many thanks for taking me places I will never get to go! 😊 🇺🇸
I can totally relate to this story, being a 20 year veteran of the Welsh steel industry - an industry also decimated by the move away from local manufacturing. Thank you for trying to retell the story.
Another great explore .You put sooo much indept research into your videos (history to future) must take days to edit ,so we can enjoy them.Thank you ♥️🇨🇦
Behemoth indeed! A place like that could take a month to explore and you would probably still not see everything. So sad the workers got left with nothing. I can understand the bitterness of it all. Very cool storytelling and your cinematography just gets better. Well done guys. Stay safe out there.
Weiter so!

I always call you the masters of urban exploring :] as your films are so professional, informative, so emotively narrated keeping the viewer hooked and interested in the stories of the places you explore. I have done many explores myself throughout the Uk & some in Scotland and Wales also on a road trip earlier this year including some amazing mansions with stunning antiques inside them that other explorers have not managed to access. The places you have shown throughout Europe leave me with a wanting to experience them myself.
This place was so huge and I could imagine the metallic and oily smell from the rusty machines out there. Be safe from it BTW team, I know how dangerous it was just to show amazing places like this to us. Congratulations for another great and amazing video ❤️

What really stands out is the research and background your team provides to convey a complete and full story for the viewers. There are other so-called explorers that will video a building with no commentary or stupid commentary and with completely uninformed commentary. You are so far above and beyond. Thank you for your efforts and for sharing with us.

I love these industrial sites for their richness in patterns and colors brought by the decay. And I'm also a fan of big machines and structures. But I also feel like this video could have been 15-20 minutes longer by adding more continuous shots of exploring with live narration for a more immersive experience in addition to the marvelous 'money shots', which by the way I would say your videos not only have the highest density but also highest quality of among the urbex channels I follow - please keep that part up! I dont have a problem with long videos at all. If I like what I see, it can be as long as it needs to be to show as much as possible.
