You're a life saver. I found an aloe plant down the street from my house about 6 months ago. I don't know much about aloe plant and I thought it was too far gone but I figured I'd try to bring it back to life. It was small with no roots on it and completely dried out but it came back to life quickly. The other day I noticed it made a baby and I was shocked because I thought they were supposed to flower and seed like my other plants. I did not know what to do about the baby but now I do thanks to you. When the baby is bigger I will move it to its own pot. Thank you so much.

I had no idea what I was getting into when I bought my aloe, apparently she's happy, she's got like 5 or 6 pups. My mom wants one so I guess I'll get them out today.
edit: I'm gonna put the rest at the end of my drive way with a sign that says free aloe, I'm 100% sure they'll be gone.

The first Pup I pulled had no root system on it so when I planted it it shocked and most of the plant died, but I kept watering it and new leaves Spring out of the dead leaves…. Don’t give up on your aloes, they bounce right back with a little love and knowledge! Truly great video, I love how you got right in there and showed us how to loosen the pups root system before pulling, I’m gonna try it with mine later today!

I’ve taken on an old aloe Vera plant from my pastor that retired. It looked in rough shape so I had cut off the base shorter and replanted. I really thought it would die. And now it’s got new pups sprouting up! I’m so excited lol I don’t really have a green thumb so I’m excited to see new growth

Hey, you are a sweetheart and I learned that aloe cactus rock. My plants have grown from one dying plant! If you have these plants you can propagate dozens of plants from one plant. From there you will not believe how many plants you will create!!!

Best and easier way, remove from the pot then pour water to make soil softer. Start to pull out any pups with roots. Just with hands!

What do you do when the pup is growing literally off the base of the mother plant right at the bottom of the plant? How do you remove it when it's sharing the same stem and roots? Will it eventually remove itself if I leave it alone?

Nice video, thanks. Just one question, as I am more familiar with transplanting plants than separating them and usually I would first soak a plant in water first, so to make it easier to separate roots without tearing them, so I wanted to ask if you thought it a good idea or a bad idea to first soak the soil in water before separating the aloe plant. Again thanks for ur video.

Well some how I brought it back to life and it looks healthier besides 2 damages leafs an now it's growing 2 pups !! How big should the pups be before you remove it to another pot ? I have no idea on what I am doing and a little guidance would be great thank you so much for uploading this vid because I can definitely use this later! 🤗

I keep mine inside all year round since I don't have a garden, but if yours are in pots, then just bring them inside by a window so they can get whatever sunshine there is, and water them like normal, just try to make sure your house isn't too cold so they don't freeze. ☺️

Robert Stoker That’s what I want to know. I have an Aloe plant that has grown so out of control in its pot. But it’s growth is on top of the original plant. So it’s like the leaning tower of Pisa!

I just took the whole plant out of the pot and shook off the dirt to loosen them. You can pull the pup away from the main plant. If it breaks just put it in water for a while until it forms roots again.

  • @wendyjomendy

Well if they're all spotted when they're babies and my babies are having. The sucks though because my son repotted the plant can take the leaves down so the part of the stomach sticking out of the soil and because of that the baby started growing from the side and now it's not standing straight up it's folded over and babies are sticking out of the stem.

my aloe looks really similar even though it has a sustainable pot. I never overwatered it or anything. I thought it looked like this because it wasn't getting enough sunlight, so I bought a grow light to use during the winter but nothing really changed about the plant's appearance. I guess some aloes just look like this.
