    This what i learned from the video (you my friend have to watch it so you could correct me)
    1. Dont plant the pups without the roots they just touch the soil, just hold them with stones. DONT WATER THEM.
    2. After 2 weeks, you can relocate them in new pot and plant them stick into soil then water them.

    • @TheAloeVeraGarden
      @TheAloeVeraGarden  3 года назад +5

      Actually you can also plant the pups in the soil, but they are more prone to rotting compared with just putting them on top of the soil.

      Chinese aloe vera or the chinensis variety is sensitive to too much sunlight but it can adapt if you just let it stay in full sun. They will turn brown for a while but will turn back to green when they have adjusted to their new environment. Here's a video on that: ruclips.net/video/MfEXyYZGpKg/видео.html

    Great videos my friend, keep up the great content. Currently I am a little confused with my oldest aloe vera plant, I have replanted many babies from my oldest plant, but suddenly it has a thick green stem growing out the side of the plant about 5 inches above the base of the plant and it looks like it has 2 tiny aloes on the end, I was wondering how would I remove this from the plant and how to replant it? Because I have never come across this before and I can't seem to find anything on Google about this.

    • @TheAloeVeraGarden
      @TheAloeVeraGarden  Год назад +1

      This usually happens when the plant gets taller. The green stem growing is supposed to be a pup, had the trunk of the main plant is covered with soil. If you do not remove it, it will grow like a branch, but it will also grow some roots crawling down the stem to the ground. You can remove and replant it. However, it is a little difficult to detach it from the trunk by bare hands. You have to use a knife.

    They broke at the bottom. Now looking at my plant , while watching your videos. It looks liks my plants were starting to rot .
    Should I put the little stems with the bit of roots still on it, Into new moist soil. OR .. Ontop of the soil? To hopefully start growing new roots.
    The upper part looks just like these little guys you have here. Should I let the ends dry up for a few days, OR Did you place these pups onto that soil right after you cut them , without drying the ends?
    In my panic last night, I watched a few videos before I found you. What made me stop looking for other videos,, And To 👍& Subscribe to yours is..

      Aloe vera will not rot if it is just broken. I am not sure how broken your aloe vera is to know which part to plant back, because you can plant the stump and the upper part with leaves. But it still depends on how badly damaged the plant is. If you can show me a picture of the plant, it would help me to tell you what to do with it. I have a bunch of small aloes which are growing like 2 roots underneath each leaf, the older leaves are drying out, I am worried about these alles. They are towering up but the healthy roots up there, babies growing from the stems, older leaves dying so quickly, what should I do? I don’t know if I should dig it out and replant the babies from the stem although they are really small and the roots aren’t attached to them or if I should remove the old leaves although they aren’t brown yet.

      @@TheAloeVeraGarden The type you can buy at Ikea. lol I have no idea because they didn't come with a label, but pretty sure they are just like the one from your video. I had an infestation of knats not too long ago with them. They barely survived because I had to deal with the knats somehow, now they are just getting by. They can't take the sun outside, so I can't leave them outside at all, they would just get mushy and reddish or brownish and I can only hope that they have enough energy to grow new roots when I put them into soil. But I am not so sure what I can do about those towering ones.

    Where did you place the aloes after putting in a container .. Is it in a shade area or in a direct sunlight?? Ty..

    • @TheAloeVeraGarden
      @TheAloeVeraGarden  3 года назад +2

      The aloe vera in the video was placed in a shaded area, but it can be placed in direct sunlight too. The only difference is that if you place it in direct sunlight, the leaves will turn brown in the next couple of weeks, but will turn back to green when it starts to grow roots.

    Are we supposed to wait with potting them for 1-2 days after we remove them from the mom plant or can we go straight ahead ? Mine feel a little bit moist at the bottom when I detach them

    • @TheAloeVeraGarden
      @TheAloeVeraGarden  3 года назад +3

      It is normal that the bottom part is moist if you plant it directly because the juice of the plant is still dripping. That is why it is not recommended to water the plant after planting if you are planning to place it indoor or in a shaded area. But, if you are planning to place it outdoor and during summer, it is better to water it to maintain the moisture of the soil to encourage the plant to grow roots. You can also wait for 1 to 2 days after you separate the pups from the mother plant before planting. Both ways are okay.

    Where are you from? Do you live in a tropical country right? I see your plants are outside so I think your country is a warm country. I live in a country that is located in northern hemisphere and today it snowed a lot. It’s spring here and still cold. Summer is coming. 🌱

    How much sunlight should I give them after potting? Is it best to put them in a window or outside?

    • @TheAloeVeraGarden
      @TheAloeVeraGarden  3 года назад +3

      It's up to you. If you place it outside, the plant will turn brown but once it starting to grow roots, it will also starts to turn green. If you place it indoor, the plant will remain green even if hasn't rooted yet. If by the window, maybe slightly brown but will turn back to green when it starts to grow roots.

      I used damp soil (not so wet) in the video so that I will not have to water it. You can use dry soil and then water when the plant has started to grow roots after a week. I use garden soil.
