i am so bad at using those sharpening sticks, I have to sit down and use a whetstone or my sharpening is horrific! You can really tell you're a chef with your knife skills...I will be down there for sure next spring to fish 11 mile canyon, place looks gorgeous! Have seen and heard great things too! Haha it is kinda difficult to use sharpening stick in beginning. It needs practice 😁 but after it get used to it ~ it is much faster than another stone sharpener. yah ! I love this place ! This place has some good trouts everytime I went there, I always get fish in this place 😁 thank you team CO.F.F you guys are amazing 👏

Haha ! You think so ? I am not sure about it ~ but I know one day I was with my friend at the stream and he was using fly and I was using lures. That day my friend caught more trouts then me lol. So I can't give you answer . Sorry but thank you for the comment 😊 I really appreciate 🙏

Yah it was monster cutty ~ if I hooked that fish with fly rod ~ I don't want to imagine... its gonna be insane for sure like you said. Haha 😄 but I really want to catch big trout with fly rod someday 😆 and thank you so much ! I try my best to learn this fly skills eveytime I go to the lake ot stream. But its really hard cast this fly at narrow bush area. So i try to practice roll cast from now on. Thank you always free form fly fisher ! Your the best 👌
That big lovely fish seems to be a cutbow not a real cutthroat. And the fourth fish you catch in the video is a brown trout, not a golden. Good video anyway !!!

They planted them in a few high mountain lakes in colorado and wyoming but 11,000 ft and above and usually require a serious hike or backpacking trip. They are beauitful fish they sorta have some cutthroat features. Search golden trout-liquid gold for an awesome mini doc on the origins of golden trout in California.

Yah this fish was really niice ! Thank you for the great comment 😀 yesterday I was filet this fish and put some little bit of kosher salt at meat side and I was dry aging it about 2days at around 45 degrees and I am planning to make some thyme crusted pan seared trout tommrow. Lol 😆
