UPDATED! Colorado Fly Fishing Hot Spots, Eleven Mile Canyon, The Dream Stream And A Career Farewell.

An announcing career farewell to the GoPro Mountain Games in Vail provided some time visiting old friends, watching the Denver Nuggets win a World Championship, as well as some fishing on some of Colorado's most sought after fly fishing opportunities on Clear Creek, The Dream Stream section of the South Platte, and Eleven Mile Canyon. A fantastic week hanging out in my old favorite places, as well as a visit to my property in the town of Hartsel in South Park County.

When I lived in the Colorado High Country the headwaters of the Ark were pretty dead waters to fish (80's and 90's). I know it is some super fishing now as some of my old fishing buddies hit it often. Great world out there!

I also live in Florida, but I miss the fishing in Alaska and it's too far to travel to each year. I'm looking at some property near Florissant for a vacation home. Would you recommend buying in that area?

I'm not familiar with that area so I can't give you a good answer on that one. It's been twenty years since I fished Alaska, different ball game up there for sure!
