In the 60’s I was attending an Air Force school in Biloxi, MS. The town disliked Blacks and Airmen equally. There were bathroom signs for “Whites only” and “Blacks and Airmen only”. One sign said “Blacks and Airmen keep off the grass”! I took a bus from Biloxi to Fayette, MS. Being White and wearing my uniform I was told to sit in the back of the bus. There were plenty of empty seats up front. I’m a Vietnam veteran and have served alongside other veterans with different skin tones, religions, and ethnicity. It makes no difference to me.
Way to try to make it seem like you were victimized the same. You weren’t. In Biloxi maybe they hated airmen, but guess what, when you took the suit off no one knew what branch you served or who tf you were. They just knew you were a white man in the 60s. You go tell this story to a black ppl who had loved ones lynched because they couldn’t peel their skin back and hide the fact that they were black. You ARE NOT the same. And your EXPERIENCE is NOT the same.
For those who dont know, the name of this movie is 11.22.63. And for those who are wondering why such a strange name was picked for a movie, 11.22.63 is the exact date the American President, John F. (Fitzgerald) Kennedy was assassinated in His Lincoln Continental Motorcade, shot once in the upper back and the in the head. All of this happened in his political trip to Dallas, Texas. The assassin was Lee Harvey Oswald who went on to kill a Police Officer who tried to detain him. Thankfully he was later captured by the Dallas Police, 2-3 Days Later he was shot and killed at point blank range and murdered aswell by Jack Ruby, who supposedly had ties to the Mafia. A heartwarming detail is that President Kennedy fought for the civil rights of coloured people and supported them quite a lot. From what i know Mr. Amberson is a time traveller whose sent to stop the Kennedy Assassination.
To be clear, Oswald was not the only assassin...it's been proven physically impossible for him to have fired 3 shots and had 3 hits in that time span with that weapon, and there is lots of evidence proving there were more than 3 shots fired. Most experts agree that the head shot came from the front(Oswald shot from behind and from elevation).
@TheLearningCatalystCoach All correct, and if you want to get theoretical with it there's a pretty decent chance that it was the CIA (the organization whose main objective is to protect the people of the U.S. from international threats) that orchestrated the whole thing. Still do, in small towns. You just don’t hear about it. Jasper, Texas is one of them, which is still a “ Sundown “ town.
Not good we ALL people
My mom grew up in Arkansas where sundown towns and cross burnings were still common even in the late 80s. She told me a story about how she went on a road trip with her friend and found out the girl's dad was a Klan Grand Wizard after their car broke down and they had to call for help. She said she never hung out with that girl again because ole girl didn't didn't think to mention her father violently hated black people until after he saw my mother in the passenger seat.

Thank you so much I would never have guessed that title.
🤔now that you have given me a degree in history and a writing course🤣jk
To be clear, Oswald was not the only assassin...it's been proven physically impossible for him to have fired 3 shots and had 3 hits in that time span with that weapon, and there is lots of evidence proving there were more than 3 shots fired. Most experts agree that the head shot came from the front(Oswald shot from behind and from elevation).
@TheLearningCatalystCoach All correct, and if you want to get theoretical with it there's a pretty decent chance that it was the CIA (the organization whose main objective is to protect the people of the U.S. from international threats) that orchestrated the whole thing. Real interesting piece of history right there.
