Idk at my high school in Colorado our SROs were contracted by the schools from local police departments. I guarantee all the SROs in Florida now are trained.
My state learned 20 years ago. My school was racially mixed, we had 4 SRO officers each one of them were strapped.

Phenomenal movie. My wife and I watch movies all the time, and the past few years we have felt like movies have no passion or structure. This movie was phenomenal and made me feel like the first time I saw Die Hard! Definitely recommend it to everyone who can see it.

Although next month they have another great looking movie about a mother and her kids so you may want to wait till then and watch both.

I liked the movie, because it didn't portray the girl as this 'superhero' that saves the day without a scratch. The movie portrays her as someone with prior gun experience but also getting wounded halfway through the movie. It really encompasses the small margin of survival that she managed to do so by the skin of her teeth, due to the selflessness of others such as the teacher who sacrificed herself in the kitchen so she could live.
The premise is the school is taken over as a protest to Matt Walsh refusing to pay it forward at a Starbucks drive thru.

Unfortunately, the film was made and then the rights were bought by the daily wire. It wasn't actually filmed, produced, or written by the daily wire so it's extremely unlikely
After Isabel's work in Alexa and Katie, I was anxious to see what was next. It looks like I won't be disappointed. She's climbed her way into the one percent of actors who are worth their weight in gold. If you get a chance, watch her in 1883. The ending was so impressive and emotional, you'll be amazed.
From the trailers alone it showed what heros do. Both trailers showed the adult worker giving the kids a better chance to fight back. Movie looks great

I fought!! I could tell the story play by play.. thought for thought.. Move for move.. (that’s how I see it when I think about it) Thank God I chose to fight that gave me a chance, and following my intuition saved me!! I PRAY, Heaven forbid!!!, if faced with that kind of situation, I could be half as strong! A quarter as brave as this young lady!! Put yourself in her shoes.... what would you do??

I just joined DW today especially to see this and SDW’s WIAW. I don’t even have television at home, and I think I’ve been to two movies in the past 10 years. But, as a nurse, I have seen way more television than I wanted to, when my patients had it on. (Just retired.) Daytime television is trash, and I would come home from work, so glad I didn’t have to hear any more television!

I taught Active Shooter Workshops for the Dept of Homeland Security in schools, nursing homes, activity centers, shopping malls, and other places where people gather together. The central focus of the training was Run, Hide, Fight. Interesting a movie emerged from that.

Great Movie! I will say that Daily Wire should put this on DVD so I can own a copy! It would go on my shelf next to Ladder 49, 44 Minutes, and the Big Miracle! I would highly recommend this Film.
Klavan is the principal, Walsh is the gym teacher, Knowles the local news caster live on scene and Shapiro, as himself, gives political commentary being interviewed by Knowles!

Before anyone was talking about school shootings. Back in 96/97 year.

The gunman was bullied nonstop daily by the star basketball players. He had enough and waited until the bell rang when we had just left our class and filled the hallway and he stepped out and started shooting at the basketball Player. Shooting thru the crowded hallway.
Shot him all in his legs and back many times.
Everyone was running and dodging and jumping into classrooms and the library. And falling on top of each other at the double doors leading outside.

Wonderfully scary movie. Children need to learn how to defend themselves like this kid. Very brave child. Very good. Loved it

People keep saying its unrealistic that the locker stops bullets. If you watch the movie closely, it does not at all. Most of the shots missed and the 2 that hit left clear holes through the locker. The girl was not hit only by luck. She was only using the locker out of desperation and terror in the situation, not because it was actually good protection... jeez

@@SubFlow22 As long as the character herself is actually believable and interesting, unlike a majority of modern female leads, it really shouldn't matter. Good characterization is more important than sex/politics. THAT is the problem of Hollywood. Not the presence of female leads in and of itself.
Its amazing to watch a movie and not be suspicious of the ladies and black people in it. I gate that, I just want to enjoy the actual movie not question the roles people have

kind of made me think about how bad columbine could have been if the bombs actually worked. It's crazy to think kids are actually capable of creating the kind of scene you'd see in a movie and actually doing it in real life.
This is nothing realistic, the police would not have waited they would have immediately switched to negotiation is not an option mode. If your a school shooter you’ll be shooting not speaking.

I don't know I seen a 22 not go through some things you be like no problem it will penetrate. But yeah I agree that the locker shouldn't stop the bullet, but you never know stranger things have happened.
