    An old French Foreign Legion Paratrooper (1950s) gave me some advice, I used it in Afghanistan, and it kept me alive, always stick to a wall and keep your back to it so you ONLY deal with 180 deg and NOT 360. The one time I broke that rule I was grenaded.

      In war from every single veteran ive heard from over the years (not personally) from videos, the internet and such all say that 99% of the time you never see who you're shooting at. Even people who I know who've gone to the army have told me that they were taught the same thing. Vast majority of bullets are shot in the general direction of the enemy not directly at them. Hell if I was on the frontline I sure as hell wouldn't want to make myself visible to anyone. And by going back in the direction they came from I don't understand what you mean by that. Pretty sure they never went back to the point where they exited the vehicle.

    7:33 great point made btw, so there's also a discussion in Ukraine whether it is appropriate to use this word or not. They are saying "pidor" to discribe russians and if you look this word up in a dictionary, you'll see "f*ggot" as a primary option of the word translation. However, in Ukraine it is very rarely and hardly ever used to describe homosexuals. The word "pidor" itself derives from the Greerk word "pederast" that describes people with sexual attraction to underage males - basically, homosexual p*dophiles. Thus the closest analogue it could get in English is the f-word. However, the original meaning of the Ukrainian word is almost lost and now it is primarily used to describe russian soldiers, since most of them are involved in cases of r*ping civilians, both underage and adults and both male and female. There are also recorded cases of Ukrainian soldiers being r*ped in russian captivity. And just from a phonetic standpoint saying "p*dor" is quicker than saying "russkiye", which helps in combat situations when you need to quickly announce that there's an enemy close. So yes, that's why you may see the f-word in the subtitles, but that doesn't mean that Ukrainian soldiers try to disrespect homosexuals in any way. Especially given that there are lots of LGBTQ+ people fighting on Ukrainian side

    The worst insult on both sides of the war is to call a man a representative of non-traditional sexual relations. This is everything you need to know about how LGBT people are treated in reality. Despite all the Western propaganda, Ukraine still remains a Christian country with strong traditional principles and family values. This is one of the reasons why Ukrainian society was able to survive this war.

"take aimed shots, but if it works it works". Its interesting, coz we can see so many things doing wrong but not many people have fought conventional warfare so at the same time, u gotta give them credit to the situations theyre in haha... very interesting POV

    These over the counter-drones, they fix 2 40-80mm mortar rounds on them which they either release or drop. It's heavy ordinance, thats why they can destroy a T-90'engine room and cause a cookoff. You don't do that with a handgrenade.

    • @sierraecho884
      @sierraecho884 19 дней назад

      Mortar is usually fragmentation they use HEAT rounds on armor. Mortar rounds are also way too heavy, I don´t think I saw any drone use a mortar round. They usually use hand grenades from fragmentation to thermobaric to 40mm grenade launcher ammo and many RPG-7 warheads which mostly destory the armored vehicles. You may show me where mortar rounds were used. It wouldn´t make sense to use a heavy round.

    • @periculosumadversario
      @periculosumadversario 18 дней назад

      @sierraecho884 You can clearly see the oval rounds, and attached to them the characteristical fins. That is mortar rounds. HEAT-rounds are not simply dropped on top of soldiers, vehicles, they have to be launched from a gun to work.

    • @sierraecho884
      @sierraecho884 18 дней назад

      @@periculosumadversario 1. "...You can clearly see the oval rounds, and attached to them the characteristical fins..." See where ? Most guiding fins are 3D printing and they use mostly Bomblets, 40mm Grenades and hand grenades. I am sure some dude will also use mortar rounds just because they happen to have them lying around but it´s not mostly since they have a heavy body to withstand the g-forces when launched which isn´t needed when dropped from a drone.
      2."....HEAT-rounds are not simply dropped on top of soldiers, vehicles,..." I agree, which is why they are not dropped, they use electrical contacts through protruding wires which you can even see in almost all Drone videos. Once the circuit is closed by the drone hitting an object the shell explodes. They don´t need inertia and
      centrifugal force safety by launching them from a tube that´s what the contacts are for.
      3. Dude, not only did I serve in the military as artillery fire support coordination solder. But I also build drones long before you could buy them from DJI, there was no DJI back then. FPV drones that is. And I am also a mech. engineer. I am sure they will be using mortar rounds somewhere if they can carry and drop them why not ? And they might have a lot of them as well. But generally speaking it´s a dumb idea since mortar rounds are heavy. That´s why mostly they repurpose all sorts of other munitions or even IED or Thermite for that purpose. They will also always need a work around the safety mechanism in each munition type which differs.

But to just end the quarrel, I can quote a US intelligence officer, to maybe shed further light on this (besides what u can clearly see on huge amounts of YT-clips...): "Most of what is dropped now is mortar rounds. In recent past most were fin stabilized grenades. Lately, also RPG-grenades has been used, but now mostly mortar rounds".

    I appreciate I am watching this video, but holy shit, its so crazy to me how these sorts of clips have become #content as if its the latest cut scene from the soon to be released Call of Duty. Like this morbid curiosity is almost manifesting this whole thing to become something bigger. Like there's a portion of young men who have almost a thirst for this stuff to become their reality and in someway its shifting a paradigm because there hasnt been a large scale conflict on the European continent for nearly 100 years people have forgotten the brutality. These arent characters in a game. These are innocent men on both sides who are being forced into this fighting due to corrupt politicians.

Vehicle was ambushed by a hidden machine gun, everybody out to take cover by the vehicle. Half the occupants "took cover" on the same side as where the machine gun was! So easy to lose your head - and your life if you're in a situation like these Ukraine lads.

    Most of the "new" footage we get to see is actually months or years old. It doesn't make any sense putting out footage of how you fight WHILE it's actually happening. You'd be giving away valuable tactics and insight into how your military fights when it matters most. It's much safer to do it at a later time. Nevertheless, I guess it'll always be risky to show the enemy how you fight and with what gear.
