The piano accompaniment in this recording is arranged and performed by David Andruss. It was produced by the German Suzuki Institute under its own copyright; it belongs to the test files of the Step by Step series. With kind permission by Kerstin Wartberg, Author of the "Step by Step" series, published by Alfred.
I have a sneaky suspicion that this started out as two completely separate pieces, one in a major key and one in a minor key.
Yes it's in g major and g minor
omg perfect pitch boy
You could play kale of his minuets in a row and no one would question it.
that is correct I think
It did
You have such beautiful form while you play! I’ve been playing for 3ish years, (and I am nothing close to “perfect form”😅😂) but I’ve learned to be able to spot when violin is played correctly, and you are so beautiful when you play!! I love how clear and precise the sound is!!
Thank you for your beautiful comment! I worked very hard on my form😅🎻 and am glad you notice it🙏😊 I am also delighted to hear that you are playing Book 3 after only 3 years! Bravo!!! Keep up the good work, and remember that this is the most beautiful journey to be on🎻✨💚
Yes, your hard work definitely shows! I am excited to be moving along with books and techniques!! Thank you! Yes, violin is such a beautiful instrument and most definitely is an amazing journey!💛
Ikr she is like so good🎉
I tried to play this, and I succeeded!🎉🎉🎉 One time I played it and I noticed this song is included in my Odyssey of the mind play! Wow! This is AWESOME 🤩
dang thank you so much for the practice, this is the only one I could find in the suzuki book 3 🙏
You are so welcome! You can also find it in slow practice tempo in the Playlist section on this channel, that should help you even more in the beginning phase of learning it:-).
I have already studied and played the piece, but now I'm trying to apply vibrato. It is not easy but I take your video as a starting point. Signed up! 😊
Wonderful! Keep up the good practice and thank you for joining Violin Garden!
I love how you play in tune so naturally
Thank you! It may look natural and effortless, but only because there are thousands of hours of practice behind it🎻😊
@@violingardenacademy This is Chloe Chua on my friends acc. Your vibrato isnt that significant so make it sound smoother. You also have your wrist too tight so it doesn't sound as good as it can sound. Other than that, you're fine.
@@harshareddy3198this is the president of the United States on my friend’s acc. Please shut up. Kind regards 😂
Stop lying. You r not chole@@harshareddy3198
Really helpful for people playing book three but I’m playing it with the ornaments ( I played for 2 years and I’m on the book three ) I hope to play like you one day😊
Wonderful! I have this piece with ornaments as well, just in slow practice tempo. Maybe that helps you? You seem to be on the fast track so maybe you finished this one already:-)
@@violingardenacademy yes indeed I did
@@Julianna95838 yep
Nice😊❤
I played for 3 years and I’m on that piece
I’ve played for 1.5
I’ve played my whole life
Surreal!! I myself being a violin player loved your rendition. Absolutely amazing!! ❤
Thank you! Much appreciated:-)

Your playing is so good! 😊 every time i practice my mum makes me listen to make sure i know what I’m doing. 😅 Of course I always go straight to you! ❤ you also just got a new subscriber!👋🍪
Wonderful! Welcome to Violin Garden:-)
Out of curiosity, what fingering did you choose for bar 27? Sorry for all the “experts” on YT criticizing you. Keep posting because your exemplars are really good.
Sure! Bar 27 is just a d-c,b on A-string, so 3-2-1. Is that the one you were wondering about? Also, you can find more recent videos in slow practice tempo. My posture is better in those recent ones and when I play slowly it is easier to imitate and see what I am doing😊. Thanks for your comments and your support, it is much appreciated🙏

thank you for your help. this is very inspiring
My favorite class! My favorite teacher! 😍
I am so glad to hear my videos help you, and I wish you all the very best for your practice! You can also find all the Suzuki pieces (currently until Book 5) in slow practice tempo, and those might be even more helpful to you in the beginning phase of learning a new piece🎻💫🦋😊
Awesome, God bless you !!!

Thank you! God bless you too!

Hi Anna,
Thank you for playing the entire Minuet #3. Is JS Bach the author of this entire composition?
Were you playing this as written in Suzuki Book 3?
Is the piano part included in the Suzuki Book 3 version?
Are you aware of any scores of this complete song, with piano, as a separate score outside of Suzuki book 3?
Thank you,
Steve S
Long Beach, Ca
Hi Steven! My apologies for the delayed reply, have been on holiday:-) There are two different ways of playing it, with more repeats than I do. Both work just fine:-) And yes, this is composed by J.S. Bach, but it was originally composed just for piano and that you can easily find it online or in any music store. All the best for your practice!
Omg this was my biggest challenge and I did really good. I love it
Wonderful! Congratulations!!
Thank you this was very helpful! But I think you missed a repeat. But i might have a different version from you. Anyways thanks!
There is no repeat in this piece...check if you are referring to what's in suziki violin book 1- minuet 3
@@angels7610 there is 3 repeats also this is book 3 not one
@@gaoyanxie7264 The piece I have doesn't have repeats though I'm not completely sure if its the Suzuki book version.
There are many different editions of this book, therefore your book may be different from hers
Amazing Skill 😊
Its so great and beautiful!!!!!!😍🥰
Thank you Yiagos! I hope it helps your practice🌷🎻🦋
I play in my violin Minuet 🎻🎻🎻❤️❤️
Thanks for refreshing memories🥺 😍
You are welcome! Thank you for watching:-)
thank you very much always helps me
So glad to hear that! Keep up the good practice!
I used to have a baby toy that played this song and I’ve been looking for the name of it for so longggg but I finally found it and it’s so pretty!
I'ts a beatiful music!!! I love violins!!!
can i get this sound of piano accompaniment???
I highly recommend buying the Step by Step books by Kerstin Wartberg, thats the one I use. This piece is in Book 3A, and all of the pieces come with piano accompaniment in slow, medium and performance tempo.
Nice😊
Omg I'm having so much trouble with that tricky shifting!
Same
it's so good!
Cool🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
ya
i really like this song and it’s very useful because I’m on this piece so I can use it as my recording 🎉
Nice♥️😄
Nice playing!
I'm gonna learn this, after two years of playing the violin.
Wonderful! That´s so exciting! And if you havent yet found the videos in slow practice tempo on this channel, I highly recommend you try those, as they are more helpful for imitating the bow scheme and other subtle techniqual elements. Wishing you all the very best for your practice!🌷🎻🦋
Beautiful, However, what happened to all of the mordants?
I usually only teach the mordants when the piece is fully learned as has become a review piece, so that's why I recorded it without. But I have a video with them here: ruclips.net/video/ZByfgxsIqn0/видео.html
@@violingardenacademy OK. Good idea. I discovered that video. Thanks.
@@violingardenacademy Makes sense. I did find your other link to this song. Thanks.
WHERE IS THE ornament/ TR
Hi there! The ornament is optional:-) I opt for no trill when students learn it for the first time. Then when it is a solid review piece, I love to add the ornamentation! But don't have a video of that - yet:-) Thanks for watching! And more to come soon!
ne diyün len givşek
This technically a harder version of Minuet 3 of book 1 in my opinion
Yes it is! The middle section is the tricky part:-)
👌🏼amazing - well played👌🏼
Thank you!

Unlike most book three pieces, I don't get any vivid images with this one.
I just think about people in the renaissance in big dresses and wigs dancing in a beautiful hall with chandeliers, an orchestra, wonderful food on the tables etc for the first part, and when the minor part comes, it is so melancholy in contrast to the major part, that all I have to do is think of something sad. Maybe that will help you too?
Мне 11 и я так же играю 😅
Tbh it would be a lil nicer if you had a mute no offense🎉
what
this disturbs me, the playing is very expressive but the attack feels off, it feels like she is playing support not driving the piece....sorry
Thanks for your feedback! I am playing with a pre-recorded piano accompaniment which is not ideal, but that may be the reason why you feel that I am not driving the piece:-)
@@violingardenacademy your playstyle is flawless but i get the feeling like you are holding back from driving the theme :P

Very well to play. Too bad there is the piano.
Thanks for the feedback! May I ask why you don't like the piano accompaniment?
@@violingardenacademy I love to hear the purity of the violin solo.
@@bobroch1107 I see! Thank you for that feedback, will keep that in mind for the next videos:-)
@@bobroch1107 Of course I enjoy hearing the unique sound of an instrument! There are so many wonderful solo pieces that I very much enjoy listening to and playing. However, the sound that more than one instrument can make together, is also unique:-)
@@rcusick1298 Je ne comprend pas l'anglais, et j'en ai assez de traduire tes commentaires sur Google.
Beautiful but it is not baroque style and not Bach
You are right, I do not play it in baroque style, but I do that on purpose. I play it as a piece used for pedagogical purposes, so I play it with a technique and style that is reachable for students at that level. Also, this piece was originally composed for piano, not violin. But it has a great function for students, and then later on, when they have the techniqual abilities to play Bach for violin, then the baroque style can be the main focus. Anyway, I hope you are doing well on your own violin journey and wishing you all the very best!🎻✨🦋
It songs sad😮💨
