How many single mothers are living on welfare and not working? The baby gets full healthcare, the mom gets full healthcare, and free housing, and food, and cash, and help getting around. What more can we possibly expect the state to do? A third of our income to taxes ain’t enough? I know people will tell me that taxes don’t fund welfare, but, I don’t understand where else it would come from?
@@subrosa4792 It does come from taxes. That's where government money comes from. And I completely agree with you. The child will is entitled to, and receives everything for a parent to raise them. Now, if they have crappy parents, that's nothing new. But, we don't live in an Utopia. 🙄
@subrosa4792 A mother and father would benefit greatly if child care supported them so they could work and get off welfare. Living on welfare is no Cadillac ride.
@@subrosa4792 this isn't true. I lost my job and taking care of a special needs child. I do not have any rights to so-called welfare. All I get is a little EBT and crap medicaid for me and my child. Over a month later and we are still waiting for approval for a medication my daughter needs. I have to look after my mother as well who still lives in a state where there is not enough work for me and I'm barely working part-time while I do all of this caretaking and searching for jobs in my field. Most of our taxes go to the pockets of the wealthy who don't pay taxes and lobbyists and too much goes to inflate military. I am trying to return to France where at least I knew exactly where my taxes go: education, retirement, healthcare, infrastructure and more. And I've calculated how much I pay in taxes in France and compared it to an equivalent American salary, and the amount of taxes are about the same. Except that French taxes go back into society, and not the pockets of the wealthy capitalists.
This is the main reason I’m against homeschooling. There’s never going to be enough funding for proper oversight. Especially since we aren’t interested in funding public schools. Or feeding children. Or educating them.
I homeschooled my daughter and she got herGED at 16 years old. The state of Arkansas gave her a high school diploma and she got to be part of a graduation ceremony. Her score qualified her for a2 year scholarship at the community college. Homeschooling is not always a red flag! 🙄
We have just had a major case in the uk of a child that was home schooled, Sara Sharif its a shocking case and I agree with you whole heartedly about home Ed, wherever it is!
There are so many good things about homeschooling. People like this woman give it a bad name, but most of us aren’t abusing our kids. And hey, there are negatives to everything. I wouldn’t say kids are guaranteed safety in school either. There was just another schooling 🔫-ing. It’s sad that nobody who noticed they hadn’t seen the kids asked for a welfare check. Also, look at Madeline Soto. That poor kid wasn’t homeschooled and the result was the same. Abuse happens in all kinds of situations.
I agree. There isn't enough funding for oversight. At least when kids are required to go to school, eagled-ryed teachers often catch issues before they get really bad. (I know we hear about those who do fall through the cracks, but as a retired teacher, I xan tell you there are many who fidn't because there was some sort of intervention. Sadly, forever cutting taxes hurts help, too.)
Social workers are amazing but they get paid nothing , they are so overloaded with clients that it's humanly impossible to keep track of every one of them. Of course they get burnt out. It's no wonder so many who eoukd be good at it don't do it.
@ Also I could never leave business in the office, you know. I still do what I can to help people. I understand the weight that just trying to help ends up in a whole mess. I wish things were more straightforward and functional, but they are so people jumping through the loopholes. Regardless I hope you and your s have a fabulous festive family Funtime
My college bestie was a social worker in LA county for a few years. She has some horrific stories. She also has PTSD and a chronic illness. It is truly a lot and badly needs reform.
Stories like these infuriate and break me but Unfortunately, do not suprise me. While a teenager in foster care, I had a few great foster parents. I also had many awful ones. The locks on the cabinets are a memory all too familiar. Many instances of being hungry, being bullied, stole from, threats of violence and other forms of abuse as well. Whenever I would reach out for help, I was ignored or blamed for my own treatment and made to feel like I deserved it by the same people who were in charge of making sure I was safe. I grew up in Tennessee. A state who has an infamously corrupt child protective system, but I can assure you cases like this are happening everywhere. I've seen too much to think otherwise. This society is not protecting its kids and thus cursing its future.
The person on the call I think you were asking about, was the monster’s sister-in-law, Tiffanie Kreft. She was talking to her “Bro”Tyson Alvarez. She was telling him what that monster made her do. In that call she calls him “Bro” as she’s crying and recounting how the boy died.
I can’t imagine anyone signing up to work for CPS when they have their hands tied to do anything, overworked to the point of abuse, not paid a living wage, and then at the end they’re going to prison for not being able to rescue kids since that’s not what CPS does. Can’t wait to go to grad school for that.

Sad that the system is so broken...and where are the birth parents? Why are they not taking care of their own kids...especially the mother texting the newsman...why does she have multiple kids in foster care. Something needs to be done to birth parents not taking care of their own children and and being actual parents...We need to have strict laws on people just having kids and not taking care of them.
Love hearing the boys. I know your heart still hurts but the boys are helping you heal.
It’s shocking how many women and children are missing in this country.
We don’t take care of our vulnerable citizens, especially children.
Hey sofa squad 👋 here as catch up crew from the UK 😎 hope everyone is good and ready for Christmas 🎄...now here we go 👀
This infuriates me. States say they care about the rights of unborn children, but do nothing to protect and help them thrive once they are born 😡

When I home schooled, my kids had check in daily with the base school

You know I wanted to be a social worker, to help people….. since I’ve looked into it it just seems like a lost highway.

God bless these children. CPS IS A GOVERNMENT BUSINESS. It's always the money.
In such cases it’s a lack of funding, not enough people working.
Lack of funding. Endless tax cutting has consequences.

They need to start charging CPS AND THIS WILL STOP.CPS ALWAYS WALKS AWAY CLEAN LOOK HOW MANY PASS UNDER CPS A YEAR.

Thank you for the heads up about the kids 🙏
