From the very first time they had that argument about him online cheating and he asking her when she was going to let it go, I got a really scary vibe from him. I've been in an abusive relationship. I know the look he gave her all too well. And the thing about leaving him and going back and leaving over and over. That's a thing an abused person will continually do, hoping things will get better. You love the person. It's addictive, and it's destructive, and it's sad. So yes, Madzie, I don't think you're wrong about this.
You could tell by the dog's behavior in a previous episode that Rob is abusive. He may not hit her but that mfer hits walls and others things and has the knuckles to prove it. Sophie only wants to be around if Rob is complimentary of her looks. That dummy was geeked when he threw out some lame compliments like a high school kid while they were in therapy. Genuinely bored of their screentime.
Why marry him she gaslit him and nobody deserves to be abused period. She had no intention of being with hiim. She never took responsibility for her behavior either so put that up here too

The knuckles! He’s hitting walls or destroying things when he’s angry. He may not be hitting her but he’s punching things and that’s abusive because it gets her to be quiet because he’s showing aggression. Makes sense since he saw it growing up unfortunately. Had a lot of anger issues myself. Always got dismissed in discussions because of me raising my voice immensely.
It's not easy to get rid of those patterns.. takes a lot of work and continuous conciousness.
You have to see where in communication you go wrong yourself (therefore also get to know yourself and what triggers you, where it stems from and if the one your fighting with, is really the one you're angry at.. And what you can do to improve yourself.
Many think Sophie is cute & innocent. I think she's conniving and the green card is her goal. Rob is immature, but this "relationship" will help him grow. There is zero affection and futile communication between them. So, what was the actual point of Sophie coming to America, if not for love?

Claire is obsessive with her daughters life, I think she lives precariously through sophie, she won't ever give Rob a chance, she will always think the sun shines outta sophies 🍑 , sophie and Rob are a married couple who have the mentality of children, both have problems, both are responsible for the problems within their marriage, Claire needs to step back from letting sophie grow up. I'm a mother of 2 married daughters, I let them make their own mistakes, if they need me I'm a call away, I would never ever involve myself into their marriages..

Uh ya, no one needed 5 signs because you could see it on day one. He has the temperament of a pimp and he treats Sophie like she’s his property. The term “my wife “ is literal to him. That’s why Claire is so forceful and trying to talk Sophie out of being with him. Claire has seen a lot of Robs in her day and that’s why Rob hates her so much. He hasn’t been able to isolate Sophie the way he normally would. I’m always so shocked at how much hate Claire has received when it was all pretty obvious.
If Rob is so abusive than Sophie needs to fly back to London. I think she brings the worst on Rob and TLC is showing only Robs aggression not showing how Sophie is in reality.

Sophie is just as Abusive but you have to know the signs. Soph raised her mom and protected from herself right? Her nurturing is kinda gone now due Tobago short relationship i had in grad school. Experience tells me she is more clever in her gaslighting than he. Soph has had a hard life her paranoia is earned but is a permanent part of her personality now. I learned this last fall at a siminar in Canada where I glanced at my mistake 22yrs after ran off she saw me and pretended I was not even there. She raised her drunk mom too. 😅
