When I quit drink at 18 which was 14 years ago I was given a hard time for not drinking my grandma just didn't get it she said I was being boring it wasn't until her friend said something to her she stopped trying to get me to drink. She would say you can't do a toast without alcohol. Even at lunches I got pressure. Now so many people don't drink. There was some truth that alcohol was a big part of British culture but I think it's changed.
