Everytime when I feel like changing my VFR I start searching for something better and everytime I realise there isnt anything else like VFR, it is a superb all rounder sports tourer :)

Here here! I totally get you. I’ve been having a hard time on longer rides. Decided to install handlebar risers and soft grips.

I've had mine for almost 2 1/2 years now. It is without doubt the best bike I've ever ridden. The comfort is incredible. 11 hours straight in the saddle and you get off, ready to get back on again. Simply a fantastic bike and, as you mention, a bike that can last that long between design tweaks and still be considered a great machine, says it all. Nice vid.

I just bought one of these beauties. I do really dislike the stock exhaust, but luckily for me, I just so happened to get it with a two brothers setup. Love her

This video was made in 2009, I recall the announced end to the VFR800 I think it was in 2010. Its now 2012 and rather than an end, Honda now has four VFR1200's and two VFR800's.
I own a 1999 VFR800 and I take it anywhere. Flat out on the open road, 10kmh in peak hour traffic or working a dirt road. Loaded up for a trip away or just me. It never says no.

Why not let us hear that nice engine sound?
    I got a 2003 and I can't get enough of the sound!

It's a massive all-round bike. Sporty looks and performance while below the V-TEC range you can cruise this as a touring any day. The only thing I changed is the ugly exhaust. Swapped it with an open sports exhaust greatly enhancing that VTEC sound.

i have a vfr 750, 1997. the handling is very good, maybe not as good as an all out sports bike, say like the triumph sprint rs, the ride quality is the best iv ever been on. beautiful on long journeys. engine is excellent, makes a lovely rumble and there is ample power. an excellent bike for all types of riders.

Bought 2007 brand new. 30,000 miles (48000km) and my only complaint is the linked braking. Specifically in the wet. In dry weather it actually works nice, reducing nose dive. But I have never crashed or lost the front end in the wet so maybe I'm just not ever going to get used to the feel of this bike when braking in slippery wet corners. I grew up on dirt bikes so maybe that has something to do with my brain being too old to learn a new trick.

The VFR was my first road bike so I don't have the slightest issue with the linked braking. Overall I think the bikes a ripper, I ride it most days and it never lets me down.

I have a 2007 and love it...sadly as I watch this we have several inches of snow and ice on the roadway so no riding today

nice video. Rode my 2002 up the East Coast all the way to Canada and barring having to change out to a higher windscreen along the way, I wouldn't have chosen any other bike.

By now I have a vfr 800 and I can see how a small displacement 2 stroke would come on in a similar fashion but it is nothing like my 300 xcw but thanks for letting me know

I'll maybe buy that bike in a couple of years or more, when I'll got the money. Seems pretty solid. Nice video by the way. English is not my mother tongue so it is really hard to understand you when speaking, I mean, what a accent! But Ima trying, 'cause you know, it worth it! have a nice day

Fairly similar but not quite as harsh. I'm comparing my old xy125 versus my vfr800.

A friend of mine wants to buy this bike, but is worried about his height.
Do you think this bike may be too small for a 188cm tall person???
    Thanks. :)

@Escape1727 I know someone who's 6'7'' with a VFR. He can always get bar risers. Best advice is to stop dreaming and start sitting on one.

Nice video except for the awfully boring music. I think Rachmaninoff's Symphony no. 2, Scherzo movement would be 1000 times better :))
I sat on this bike once in the shop and was thrilled. Just imagine riding it!!!
