Its a cover, i.e. his take on the original. Most covers do use exact lyrics but they dont have to. If he changed up more of rue lyrics thwn it would be conaidered a remix. Anyway thats kust my opinion based on thw "cover" definition that i was raised with.

The acoustic sound makes it sound more like the story is in a post apocalyptic setting like the ashlands timeline instead of some epic journey.
