I wonder if her name being Mona is a Mona the Vampire reference (a preschool show about a little girl who likes to pretend she's a vampire, and imagine other supernatural events are happening). Edit: A pre-school show that aired during the 2000s not current so it is temporally possible if unlikely.
I remember looking up episodic games a few years ago and stumbled across this. Always thought this game would be fitting for your channel, glad to see it. One of the creators was involved with The Cursed of Monkey Island.

I only played the beginning of the game and stopped a bit as I got stuck on the various riddles ^^; Something you might look into if there is another place to reach from the bridge with the first gargyle, using the "see all interactable things" button :)
I’m so excited you reviewed this. I loved this game growing up, it was my introduction to vampire media. I’ve talked to the founders of the game last year, and to this day they are still trying to get a sequel made. Considering how many indie games have found a home on the switch they deserve it. Videos like yours can always help to introduce more people to the original game.

I played this right after it came out and loved it so much! This was supposed to be chapter one of a series, but so far attempts at a prequel and sequel haven't gone well (including a Kickstarter that didn't get enough money) but apparently they're still working on it! I just found an update online from six months ago.
And the inventory issues must be a bug or weirdness with modern hardware/software running it. I wonder if the steam version would be less buggy, supposedly it's been fairly recently updated for compatibility (according to a blog post I read)
please finish this!!!!!!!!! its not super long of a game, AND it (unfortunately) doesn't have any continuation to the series (There's only one game) I wish it got more games to continue the story of Mona.

As someone who played quite a few point-and-click puzzle games from this era when I was a kid, this is giving me some very nostalgic vibes. Younger me would have been all over this game if I had known it existed.

Sorry to use this review to tell you how I couldn't help to notice you didn't cover any of the Dracula based films from last year: Renfield and The Last voyage of the Demeter. I'm getting flashbacks to a Templars game where one of the levels was impassible because they made it impossible to click the thing you needed ☹️ Love it when a game berates you for doing what it's asked you to do... i.e. explore. 😑 I'm very happy for all the people with fond memories of this though... that's always a nice feeling.
