As a Zoroastrian/Parsi who emigrated to Canada 10 years ago, I am grateful for you both gentlemen to take me down the nostalgic road of Rustom Chawl, Jamshed Baugh, Parsi Colony, KPI, Pakistan Chowk ke bun kebab, nihaari and everything. To quote Elif Shafak, city's are built on spiritual columns. As Faizan mentioned how musicians went back to their day jobs, sad to say that almost any Parsi who could leave, has left. Here's to hoping that the spiritual columns of our great city stay, and inshallah get stronger. Thank you Junaid bhai, Osama and team. Keep up the great work. You guys 🤘🏼

⚡️ Hi Junaid, This was a great podcast and I loved the conversation. Just an advise or a note I wud like to mention that you got carried away when you were talking about the live acts you have been to and there was a time in the conversation it sounded like bragging. No doubt those are incredible bands and artists and I have listened most of them and Im a fan of them as well and you have been lucky to attend live concerts of them.

I always liked Faizan. I met him in 2005 at a concert at Maritime museum in Karachi. All the top rocks bands were playing I was 16 at the time. We somehow made it back stage. Homie was there surrounded with ladies lol. I went to up to him and shook his hand. Super nice dude!
dear Junaid, I recently had the distinct pleasure of watching your podcast with Faizan Haqqee, and it must be said that it was a veritable treat for me. As someone who spent the first half of my life in Karachi before leaving the city, which was in a state of plunder and social decay due to ethnic and sectarian strife, in 1988 to join the army while my parents migrated abroad, listening to you and Faizan discuss Karachi was a nostalgic experience for me. I was later posted to Karachi four years before my retirement and stayed there for almost twelve years, but it was not the same Karachi that I knew and loved. The city had become unclean, and its people had changed. It appeared to be divided into three to four parts based on economic, ethnic, and business lines, and people had become more self-centred. Having said all that, I still miss the golden times I spent in the city. The music scene, the people, the food, the communities, and the places - all of it holds a special place in my heart. It was a joy to hear you and Faizan reminisce about the city and its vibrant culture. When I lived near the Hockey stadium, one of my greatest pleasures was riding my bicycle early Sunday morning in the old Saddar and Clifton area, which made me appreciate and enjoy the city's stunning architecture. Listening to your podcast made me wish that my children could imagine what Karachi was like during my time there. It was a city brimming with life, colour, and energy, and hearing you and Faizan talk about it made me feel like I was transported back to those times. I wish to thank you for creating such an engaging and enjoyable podcast. I look forward to watching more of your episodes in the future.
Honestly did not think I was going to watch 3 hours 16 minutes and 30 seconds, without forwarding or speeding. But such a great discussion, Most heartfelt gratitude to both of you gentlemen

Another great show By Ganjiswag

Distinguishing between climate change and global warming is important, as the former is a natural phenomenon that has occurred over time, whereas the latter is a recent occurrence resulting from human activity.
Loved the conversation. I remember it all Indus, MTV etc - also learnt alot about the chinese etc. Watched the Miluwakee vs Toronto nba game on mute and just had this playing in the back. Kind of conversation I have with my friends when we catch up. We all are scattered all over the world tau face to face mulaqat kam hoti lekin dil khush haugaya yeh conversation sun ke.
Grandson of Shan ul haq Haqqi is talking about mannerisms and culture while using four letters word. Junaid Akram uses it all the time as well. Irony is unmistakable
One of the best podcasts you have done. Its interesting Faizan has never done an interview before despite being part of the Pakistani music scene. Was hoping he would talk more about Indus Music and MTV Pakistan, the famous trio that he became part of with Anoushay and Dino.

It's a really fascinating podcast. I do not really use to see podcasts and even this podcast was lengthy which took me three different sittings to complete but let me admit that it is really fascinating.
Great content Junaid! Faizan is an old friend and schoolmate and it's great seeing him bring back all these great memories. One correction about nuclear explosions though - it's the most destructive force in the universe and it would undoubtedly obliterate any structures in its path.
Yaar school days ke thee yaad Aagaye was in 8th when I first saw Faizan on MCC later he joined Mtv and did some traveling shows & Voice overs as well once I met him some where at zamzama he was so down to earth he did lot to promote some good music (bands and solo artists) huge fan Faizan good to see you best wishes and good luck for your future projects ♥️
Amazing deep discussion with Faizan (couldnt be any other way) :) very nostalgic. He's a great guy! Him and I worked at the same company, Indus TV, when Musharraf was in power and Pakistan's media revolution started. Growing up in Karachi in the 80s and 90s was a very special time and the 70's when Parsis were very much more visible. I studied at BVS school and lived close by. Went for tuition at the Parsi Colony in front of Holy Family. I grew up listening to a lot of diverse music, but my core was heavy metal and rock (later electronic). Vinyl, tapes and magazines sent regularly by friends in Scandinavia (remember Keeraang magazine). Btw. my vote for best nihari is Zahid, (Faizan, Malik! really, come on dude!). Sabri was once the biggest name in nihari, they seem to be on an incremental decline since many years. I tried it last month again after years, frankly as much as I hate to say this, it's not great anymore. On Burns road Waheed kabab flies the flag, still the same awesome kabab fry and crispy naans, their quality has gotten better infact. Fresco ke halwa puri, their halwa is EXCEPTIONAL. Jeddah ke badam zafran icecream. You guys sure stirred up many memories.
I agree with you on people just reading articles and not the whole books. I've been reading at least 4 books in a week for the past eight years. I just took a break from this habit in the time I was married, cos before that I was reading at least one book a week for as long as I remember.

This is the first podcast in a very very long time. I listened to all of it for 3 hours without skipping anything. Interesting conversation.
where do you live? I was watching that game aswell LOL
@42:27 I can relate to him 100%. I do the same thing. Glad there are other people around like me.
it was surely a nostalgic journey...felt like meeting an old friend... loved it
Grandson of Shan ul haq Haqqi is talking about mannerisms and culture while using four letters word. Junaid Akram uses it all the time as well.
Irony is unmistakable
Junaid bhai i seriously envy you.. You have seen all my favs Metallica, Iron Maiden and Megadeth .. What a lucky guy 😭😭😭
Fantastic..interview.. perfect question perfect answers..
This Combo . the knowledge power house with humbleness ..I loved it
Dear Junaid and Faizan, Hatsoff to one of your best podcast till now. Keep growing and entertaining us all 😊❤
One of the best podcasts you have done. Its interesting Faizan has never done an interview before despite being part of the Pakistani music scene. Was hoping he would talk more about Indus Music and MTV Pakistan, the famous trio that he became part of with Anoushay and Dino.
Yesterday I was recalling the town planning of Mohanjodaro.I was taught in class 6.This podcast is very informative.Keep up the good work.
I watched this complete video and I didn't feel at any stage that I am getting bored Faizan bhai your idea is awesome I wish to see this idea as a production I wish i have enough money to sponsor this project. but I can wish you all the best, i can work voluntarily for this project
Kya kamal ki podcast... Really amazed to see the knowledge about history of both mens... appreciated.
Seems like there is a better Faizan already in this cosmos, I can stop my work on the Indus Valley. :-)
I didn’t know about him, but what a great and knowledgeable person. Hope he gets his funding.. great podcast.
worth watching and its soo amazing to relate to various topics as a millennial and history enthusiast . His documentary idea and vast knowledge need to be documented for sure. ready to contribute. Best podcast so far.
It's a really fascinating podcast. I do not really use to see podcasts and even this podcast was lengthy which took me three different sittings to complete but let me admit that it is really fascinating.
Probably the first podcast I've watched from start till the end. Brother keep up the good work
Great content Junaid! Faizan is an old friend and schoolmate and it's great seeing him bring back all these great memories. One correction about nuclear explosions though - it's the most destructive force in the universe and it would undoubtedly obliterate any structures in its path.
Hats off man … Thank God I’m old school born in 90s living in Australia, what a peak level of dopamine OMG
Absolutely loved this whole Podcast. Longest but enjoyed every minute of it. Thank You again for this
Amazing deep discussion with Faizan (couldnt be any other way) :) very nostalgic.
I wish this podcast never ended!!!
OHH MANNNN!!!! Best podcast I've ever seen ❤
I saw my two fav persons together
This is a jackpot for me❤
Ohh man. What a podcast!! We need this documentary
