LOL yeah I guess so. My car is made of washing machines and all sorts 😅 Thought it was quite funny tbh and now it's my spare angle grinder nut again 😊👍
I don't but was planning one in spring. The 70mm are far too low for the weight my van has to carry fully laden and it sucks on the bumpy stuff 🤕. Going back to stock or 50mm if can find a pair of fronts 😄👍
@@chrism589 it looks pretty straight forward, especially if removing the Damper anyway. Your going to need a pair of spring compressors tho. If your in Sheffield I could give you a hand, use my compressors and make a vid! LOL 🥶
I’m on standard meyle shocks and 50mm Avo springs on 16 inch wheel with 50 and 55 section tyres. Ride is hard but corners well. How does yours rise? I’m going to fit shortened shocks so they aren’t always in compression as I believe even though the shock s have less overall travel they retain the softer initial compression? At least I hope so I really like my Porsche d90 alloys and don’t to go back to 14’s!
The ride sucks dude! Ha ha. Don't get me wrong it goes round corners but I have the bug for that. I don't think the 70mm springs are correctly rated and just way to soft although the 50mm on the back seem to be ok. Also the van is often FULLY loaded, all the camping gear and 5 of us with bikes, just not enough travel at the front. As a consequence every bump is just horrible. I was considering 50mm swap but if its still hard I may take it back to stock as more than anything I need the van to be practical. D90s do look good on 25s I'll give you that. Again I'm thinking back to stock. If you watch the vid that goes live this Sunday you will see a set of wheels that were sold to me as bus wheels, they came with the van. I suspect like those wheels the ones I have on at the minute will be the wrong stud pattern and have been forced on. Not good! Thought it was strange I'd never seen another set of these wheels lol.
@@PeoplesCar yeh I’ve not seen those alloys before either? Are they Vauxhall carlton ones? They have a very close pcd. People use those weird wobble bolts to fit them.
@@fydstar They do look similar to the Carlton alloys but are something more modern. A mate had wobble bolts on his. Seems they wobble loose a lot! LOL. 😅
2:40 .... Creative recycling of technical parts... first 20 years as angle grinder, then 30 years in a T3 van...

Thank you for video, nice joob!💪🚐
Thankyou 🙂👍
Do you have video for replacement of the springs?

@@PeoplesCar OK thanks. Mine are corroded and been highlighted on MOT. maybe worth doing shocks while at it.

@@PeoplesCar Cheers, bit far away in Birmingham.
