You are so sweet Heather. Even as an older mom I always learn something new from you about our Catholic faith and it keeps it fresh on my mind. I love the idea of one on one dates. We haven't done that on a regular basis; we've done it on a need basis like when someone needs new clothes I take them shopping and we get a chance to talk alone in the car. Warren takes the kids hunting which is great one on one time for him with the kids. Lot's of "the talks" have been shared in hunting blinds.
love your family prayer tradition & that you let the kids choose movies/desserts. My husband and I both loved playing tennis with our families as kids. We bought little tennis rackets for our nieces & nephews and take them to courts at public schools to play for free. I also loved baking as a child. I taught my niece how to make the easiest/healthiest cookie: oat & banana (& optional: chocolate/cinnamon/nuts/etc.). She can make them on her own😊 kirbiecravings.com/2-ingredient-banana-oatmeal-cookies/
Well during advent, I bake Christmas cookies and make gifts for family and friends and then ship them out. My husband's in the military, our family doesn't live nearby, and we don't have kids as we're both sterile so it's just us for Christmas. We usually go over to a friend's home or open our home to soldiers without family nearby for the holidays. I go to Christmas Mass and then come home. My husband bakes ham and then I do some baking. We also exchange gifts.
I loved this video!! You're joy for being a mother makes me smile! I'm also a big fan of traditions! One of my favorite traditions growing up was every Saturday morning, my mom wrote a chore list where each of the 5 kids was given several jobs to accomplish before we were able to play with friends. My parents would always play fun music and we would dance around and have a good time while cleaning. I will forever love Queen and ABBA music because of this! It was also fun to compete with my siblings to see who would finish their chores first!
in my Family We have get-togethers as often as possible we are always there for each other we talk to Ea other just about every day now we do Have Christmas and Thanksgiving together but also every Super Bowl we get together regardless of who is in it and we cook we bring food and enjoy family after it’s over we cleaned up and we just sit there and have fun together
Oh my gosh, I love this!! :) My husband and I don’t have kids yet but we would love to do ideas like this especially prayer time. God bless you heather! :)
We celebrate St. Nicholas. We listen to Christmas music at breakfast time and dinner time everyday. My boys love their Advent calendars. We read the story of the birth of Jesus
-I love the idea of doing kid dates on Saturdays. We used to be so good about kid dates, but got out of the habit because they can be hard to schedule. Have to get back into that.
I LOVE “A Country Life. Everyone please go over and show that remarkable family some love and subscribe. You will fall in love instantly. I’m new to this channel, and I’m loving it as well. Thank you for all the hard work it takes to put out a video. I wouldn’t know where to start doing what you do to produce a video. God bless each and everyone 🦋💜
Can you do a video about family conflict/ family around you that may not be supportive or understanding of your Catholic views. I'm not sure you have that issue, but maybe your friends do. Many of us converts and re-coverts don't have that support. Tip: in my experience, having a strong catholic mama community helps a lot, even if we ourselves need to get that going :).
Pray the Holy Rosary. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
May the Holy Virgin Mary surround you and ALL your subscribers with her mantle of PROTECTION and LOVE and inspiring so many CATHOLIC families on the path to JESUS and HEAVEN! Amen!
Where did you get that Mary & Jesus statue behind you? I’ve noticed it every time, and always thought it was beautiful.

Nice how you said pannenkoeken. :) We do pronounce it a little different, though...
