How to disassemble a Mercedes 2008 C220 6 speed manual gearbox

My plan was to restore this gearbox, but I could not find a video on youtube on this.. now I know why, but hey it was fun anyway

I need to replace the input shaft bearing on my 716.6. Could you explain how to remove that bearing? Does the bell housing need to come off?
