@@blegoin2662 There's some mod that replaces the jellyfish summon with a runebear Of the consecrated snowfield I saw a video of the runebear being tested against Malenia and she got clappled real hard.
Maaaan, can’t wait on more content like this. Maybe we could get some on the lore behind the Greater Will, Formless Mother, God of Rot? You know, the Outer Gods.
Nice to see you work on Elden Ring content! I've always found your voice to be the most calming out of the FudgeMuppet trio, really helps with the atmosphere of these videos
they are among my favourite enemy npcs to fight against. i never played Dark souls or bloodborne but the only comparison that I can make that is kind of similar would be the lynels from botw I enjoyed fighting against them even though when starting the game or you having lower tier weapons there is no way to beat them without just parrying and attacking the weak spots.
I fought the first one in the Evergaol in Limgrave for hours, as a low level Wretch with few weapons. Wearing it down with a parrying dagger and a club was hard as hell. Felt good. By the end of the game, I could stagger one constantly with massive boulders to the face or roars that ripped a hole in spacetime. They had no chance. Still felt good.
You're such a talented script writer/ reader. I've watched your videos With Fudgemuppet and listened to the Elder Scrolls podcast for years and it's so cool to see you talking about a new great game franchise on your own. I think your work is great and I hope you keep it up for years to come, cheers! 😄🍻
I've always found the Crucible Knights to be a good challenge. First time facing them will always be the hardest. Even though I can face them just fine now, every time I see one I always move cautiously towards them.
I didn't like fighting them at first, but I never hated them. They are my favorite now though. I spent days with my characters name as "let me solo them" into front of the Crucible knight duo boss fight cosplayed as one myself. Golden parry on scorpion kite shield plus blasphemous to heal when I screwed up lol. They nerfed all duo boss fights so it's to easy now
Running a strength build made the crucible knights really difficult to fight up until I got Radhan's swords. Timing the gravity smash just right really takes the wind out of most elite enemies.
Been a big fan of the Fudgemuppet bois for years and it's an absolute delight to have you branch out into other regions of lore! looking forward to all the videos you got planned :)
Crucible knights have a fun moveset and are quite fun to fight, but not as a duo. Also they give way to little souls for the effort they take to kill. The other thing is that they have almost infinite poise in a game where poise does not work at all. If this was ds1 these dudes would be steam rolled but I guess artificial difficulty is 'fun' right fromsoft.
I'm not sure many people consider crucible knights their most hated enemy. On their own, you can just parry them to death. The only crucible knight fight that sucks is the duo you have to fight, but having to fight any two bosses at the same time is very difficult.
The revenant is easy. Equip a greatshield and he bounces everytime. Equip a greathsield against a crucible knight, he depletes your stamina with 3 hits and never bounces.
I love bullying the Cruscible Knights, one of my favourite enemies. Best lesson in the game: Carian retaliation/Golden Parry is actually a thing! This guys weakness is actually parrying them or knowing when to Guard Counter, otherwise, git gud.
I'll fight the knight but the problem for most paryless melee builds, collosal and dualers, once that horned prick does that stomp, your screwed. Even if you jump attack that stomp, hes gonna counter back, repeatedly and your just struggling to get up. If fromsoft nerfs the spike stomp, I guarantee you, this fight would be less frustrating and just be the equal amount as it should be...but that's what I think..
I just brought elden ring the other day just to splore, the world has intrigued me for ages I'm terrible at it and barely know what I'm doing ha. Now I get high quality elden ring lore videos, brilliant.
Crucible Knights, check. And I'm one of those people who have a love-hate relationship with those armored freaks, especially with melee builds, and despite even being more than adept in the usual sword-and--board combat. Though, why the Incantations gained from some of them is classified as Erdtree Incantations (despite being explained in the video) is something I can't quite wrap my head around. Though, those three Crucible Aspects don't really share a semblance to the Bestial Incantations.
I don't really like fighting them, a lot of their attacks have the same rithm and just defending against them isnt hard. The problem with them is that they don't stop attacking and you almost never break their posture, making it really hard to damage them (traiding hits isn't worth since they do a lot of damage and have a lot of health). I don't think an enemy is more interesting when it ignores (more like almost ignores in this case) mechanics. The mechanic they do get affected by is parrying; a buckler, carian retaliation or golden parry makes them trivial, almost too much, comparing it with the other mechanics they mostly don't care about. I don't like when an enemy forces me to fight them in a specific way no matter what build I'm using.
By “specific way” you mean the correct way? No one is going to accommodate R1 spam. Crucible Knights don’t ignore the rules of the game, they force you to follow the rules that you have been ignoring.
I completed the elden ring six times. after ng+2 , i was just cheesing everyone. one of the most difficult game for me became just a chore, easy and boring. but despite all that, crucible knight was the only enemy that humbled me again and again. the most annoying enemy of the entire game. I struggle a lot against him. His attack do massive damage and the range of his sword is huge. The best weapon to kill him easily are sword of night and flame, moonveil katana and my favorite fallingstar best jaw sword. use it and you will cheese him every time.
These guys are annoying yeah, but if I lose to them I feel like I screwed up. Royal Revenants are far more hated... the multiple hit, Stamina depleting, poise breaking, BS just isn't fair. Hell, I hate the Cleanrot Knights more, turning me into a Rot infused shish kebob.
The only thing annoying about this enemy is just.. Their damage reduction, 35% from all sources of melee. Difficult to staggered, even if you do stagger them, they recover fast. Strong to all status effects and immune to bleeding. Seriously you have to over-level this guy if you encounter one of them.
I will say, fighting Ordovis as a 2v1 was my hardest fought battle in my first play through, killing me multiple times… even being wayyyyy overpowered in my second play through they killed my +10 Tiche and left me with just a few flasks I beat Millenia on my third try so they were definitely harder for me
I was sooooo disappointed about finding the Knight in the first scene. I prided myself in seeing him all the way out there across the abyss and was thoroughly interested in what he could be possibly be doing out there. When I stumbled upon the Belfry Tower to get to him, I was so giddy. 🤦 Just another asshole Crucible Knight that drops 3K souls and IF you're lucky, maybe something else... Kinda sums up Elden Ring as a whole. Soooo many amazing concepts and ideas presented, many of them pretty unfulfilling.
Can I ask, what games do you play? Where did you grow this expectation for 100% unique encounters across the entire map? Do you play any other RPGs? Can you name a single other RPG with more unique enemy types and hand-placed encounters, even ignoring repeats?

Runebear, Crucible Knight, Revenants are the holy trinity of scum enemies
Crucible knights>Dragon priests ☠️ ☠️ ☠️
once i learned to parry these guys. they became one of my favorite enemies to bully.
I liked how it went from fun to serious and finally interesting, a captivating video as always Drew!

The two Crucible knights in the underground made me quit and I haven't been able to bring myself to go back since. I left utterly defeated.
The most hated enemy are the F'ING revenants
Sure maybe they’re hard too fight but I fell in love with their design the very first time I laid my eyes on that armor.
I agree. Something about that axe helm. That and the coloring with the carving. It's a badass looking set.
In Nokron, i killed 2 of them by spamming rejection and tossing em' off a cliff.
After having to fight them fair, it was quite satisfying.
God I hate fighting them but I love the Crucible Knights set and spells
I love crucible knights, hell. I even made my build into one.
Flicking an entire group of npcs away with the tail aspect is a lot of fun :)

You messed up the title there's a distinct lack of "ROYAL REVENANT" after the "the most HATED" portion.
Learning to parry these guys drops the difficulty and intimidation factor by a large margin.
They are definitely fun to fight. Enjoyed the video very much!
Revenant is the enemy that made me stop playing for a couple days
Walked to the otherside of the map basically carrying the equivalent of an active radioactive demon core it's wild

Crucible knights are actually my favorite enemy. Just feels like a real good and tense battle with really fun attacks to parry and dodge roll
The only reason i like this boss is bc its so satisfying dodging its tails, wing dash and sweep attack with just jumping
Gravity & Crucible Knights killed me the most in Elden Ring! But, the Knights aren't impossible to beat once you learn their moves & patterns!
Those crucible Knights turn out to be the most fun fights if you pull up with a parry on your shield
