As a real estate investor, I'm familiar with a lot of the materials used in these apartments. what you're really paying for is the "luxury" of saying you live in midtown, downtown or Buckhead but for the most part they're money grabs for the owners. When I tour I *only* tour the biggest, most expensive and best apartments each building has to offer and 9 times out of 10 they're just bigger versions of the smaller apartments. In some cases the finishes *may* look more premium but that's it. For example, every single apartment you featured in this video is using the cheapest closet shelving available at Home Depot. I've seen the exact same shelf racks in $7000/mo apartments that I've seen in $140,000 townhomes in East Point. and the end of the day the apartments are clean and minimalistic but it's basically set up for high income tenants who want to avoid what they consider the "bad areas." They're just paying for location as opposed to major cities like New York and Miami where the build has to match the price.
I’ve noticed it too. Disheartening. Everytime I see a “luxury” atl apartment it looks cheap but with bigger windows or space. It’s like I’m gonna have to move
A lot of these ATL "luxury" apartments look the same after a while. I toured a bunch in person, they make the lobby and common areas look different and upscale but the actual apartments sometimes are basic.
Love the Ascent Midtown... That grey and black color scheme. And location. I'm looking for my right place in midtown. I may be moving there in next year as my job as a corporate hub there.
