Israeli here! It’s mostly safe to go hiking and exploring, my family and I do it all the time! Rocket fire isn’t as common across the country as many people make it out to be, and most hiking trails, mountains and natures are safe to explore freely. Although, as a local I must say, they aren’t very impressive. Other man made dangers such as mine fields, shooting ranges etc. will always, always, be clearly marked and bordered, so don’t be afraid to explore off the paths. Things such as bears you’ll never see here in the wild. Jackals are pretty common, but they generally avoid humans. Boars are common in some places, and are less shy than jackals, so watch out for those❤
As an Israeli i absolutely LOVE this video. Its not 100% accurate but she's adorable and very respectful, seems she got most of the important quarks of visiting Israel.
Note for guys visiting Haifa. You can't enter the Bahai gardens in shorts! BTW, Israelis love hiking. There are tons of books and websites about hikes in Israel. There are organized hiking trips as well as jeep and bike trips, canoeing on the Jordan River. There are even organized tours into the Sinai (Egypt) from Eilat and to Jordan. There's even skiing up north. Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are great but there's lots more to see and do.
thats sooo true!! the hermon is the best, people think that israel is like a desert, but this one time it snowed there real good and we celebrated my best freinds barmitzva, and the snow was at least as tall as my entire leg, this other tome we where at jerusalem in the winter and it was at lest a meter and some at best, maybe even more i dont know.
I was in Haifa with a ship, everytime I went through the Security Checkpoint on the Port, I was looked at with weird looks whenever i had my shorts on. I stayed there for a month. It was Nice, but not like videos tbh. One thing though I suggest is to eat sawarma.
All McDonald's in Israel have menus in Israel with English, and not all of them kosher. Most Israelis eat just coffee and a small sandwich or pastry. Shakshuka is more traditional for "10 o'clock meal", since nobody has time to cook in the morning. Haggling is ONLY acceptable in the "Shuk", and don't expect to do it at the mall, or normal stores, etc. Hiking is fine, just make sure you are not alone. Everyone talks politics, just be polite and listen, and be welcome to share your opinion in a respectful way. She's right about what not to bring, and the things about modest dress. More people hug these days, just let them make the first move.
One tiny Jewish country that G-d gave to the Jewish people, & 50+ Muslim majority countries wordwide. Who are the biggest occupiers, genius?@@spierarm030
As an Israeli I think this is an excellent guide to what not to do in Israel. However I have some important comments. 1- It is perfectly fine to walk around with religious symbols such as the Koran or the cross, Israel is a country where the three religions exist side by side and we as Jewish citizens respect them all. 2- It is true that there are areas where the frequency of the rockets is higher, however we have an "Iron Dome" system, which protects us and allows us a comfortable daily life even in these areas, it is important to note that there are areas that are absolutely forbidden to enter such as the A I-B areas that are under control of the Palestinian Authority and Arab villages that are not friendly to Israel. But there are clear signs that explain where it is forbidden to enter, so there is nothing to fear. Apart from that, I wish everyone a pleasant trip to visit Israel and welcome
I suspect that someone looking Arabic might have more difficulty travelling to Israel for tourism in the 1st place. And with armed locals around, (and being armed is unlikely to mean the local Arab population), if you managed to get in, it might make them a little more trigger-happy. Check your life-insurance & medical insurance first. Don't expect Israeli authorities to help you.
@@daffyduk77 I really don't agree with you, we live with Arabs, we work with them, we study with them in universities, we serve with them in the army, police, Arabs have no reason to feel uncomfortable or to hide the fact that they are Arabs or Muslims or whatever. The Israeli citizens carry weapons with them only for protection and it's a good thing because many of those who thwarted terrorists were civilians with weapons who happened to be passing by. Besides, everyone who has a gun permit is a security guard or a former security guard, unlike in the United States, so it's much less dangerous here than there.
@@nevopeer5449 So Arabic Israeli citizens carry guns just as routinely, I take it, to protect themselves from attacks by armed illegal settler hot-head types ? Or would this not be permitted for some reason
@@daffyduk77 What world do you live in? In the meantime, all the attacks carried out in the last decades by extremist Arabs against Jews. Those you call illegal settlers are the most kind and non-violent people I know who live together in peace with their Arab neighbors in peace. It is true that there are also extremists on our side, but at least they don't go out to murder dozens of civilians a year. , unfortunately the voice of the Israeli Arabs is not heard because they are afraid, but I live with them, I know that most of them Most of them are happy to be under Israeli rule and not under the Palestinian and dictatorial rule
@@daffyduk77 I don't understand how people like you even dare to say such things, my people suffer from terrorist attacks every other day, rockets and a constant existential threat and you over there from afar dare to visit us, where we will see you living here in Israel for a month and then maybe you will have the right to say something about us
I think you didn’t mention the Shabbat. Shabbat can be very problematic to any tourists who want to travel about in Israel (especially in Jerusalem )on Saturday
5:24 I'm Israeli and I never tip, if the service is bad. But I tip 10%, if it's normal (just ok), and 15% for good one. And many of us do the same. Maybe percentage is different... But in general that's how it works here. At least in Beer-Sheva where I live. :) And even if you don't tip for some reason, no one will judge you. UPD: I just paused the vid to write this comment... ↑ 6:07 I've never, ever, ever been asked this kinda question. This is complete nonsense! And I've never heard anyone was asked either. Moreover, the waiter can be fired for such a question. Loved your vid anyway! Thank you for sharing the world about my country! :)
Graet video. just wanted to add a few points: 1. There are indeed areas where more rockets are fired from the direction of Gaza, but these areas are very close to Israel's border with Gaza and are generally not dangerous. Only during military operations or war it is dangerous to be there. 2. No need to worry so much about your clothes. When walking around the cities there is no problem wearing whatever you want, only when visiting holy sites it's recommended to wear a Tshirt and long pants, you should also bring a scarf with you just in case. 3. There is no problem in bringing the book of the Koran to Israel. Israel is a democratic country and everyone is allowed to believe what they want. As long as you don't insult anyone else there is no problem. If someone insults you or misbehaves because of a necklace with a symbol of religion, for example, you can contact the police and they will take care of the problem. 4. Dno't be afraid of the soldiers who are in the streets. They are there to keep you safe and protect you. In addition, if you need help of some kind or if you got lost, ask them for help, they will be more than happy to guide you. 5. I don't recommend waisting you time at McDonald's there are a lot more graet places to eat, If your searching for a nice plase with a reasonable prices go check Aroma, or all the other amaizing restorants that Israel has to offer. 6. If you afraid of hiking alone in Israel but you also don't want to give up on that part, you can go to one of our natural parks they are supper safe and tourist friendly. I added a link to the offical site of our Nature and Parks Authority (you can change the language by klicking on tab on the green line) www.parks.org.il/map/ 7. Last but not least, you can ask the locals for help on any matter or problem you might have Israelis are very warm people and they will be very happy to help you Hope this helped and that you'll have good time in Israel
I arrived by boat in Haifa on Christmas Eve 1972. Soon I went to live on a kibbutz on the Sea of Galilee. I stayed in Israel for 1 1/2 years. It was a very exciting chapter of my life, and for sure Israel was a very inexpensive country for travelers back then. Plus the place was crawling with foxy chicks.😂 Also it was very easy to hitchhike back then.
Another "don't" in Israel: don't be an idiot, don't eat at McDonald, kosher or not! The food there is as insipid as anywhere else in the World, but costs twice as much! If you're into fast food, I highly recommend the local one! Falafel is the thing, and yes, it is a square (vegetarian) meal in a round Pita bread. The local take on Shwarma will have kosher Turkey meat flavored with Ahwazi Mutton fat, but it will for sure satiate you and reconciliate you with Life and the Universe. The (relatively) new Sabih is also a very nice complete and flavorful meal in a Pita, and you must try it!
You've probably heard and know the Israeli phrase about disputing over taste and smell. I wouldn't label someone who likes to eat at McDonald's an idiot, however you are correct that there are other intriguing options available. By the way, in Israel Shwarma costs nearly as much, and even more in some places, as a McDonald's combo meal these days.
I remember the same dress code in Spain 50 years ago, for entering any church or religious site. Makes perfect sense. As they say, "when in Rome, do as the Romans do"
As an Israeli, what always strikes me as odd with all tourist who come to Israel is that they solely visit Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. These are two places that most Israelis avoid in vacations because they are so crowded and quite boring (aside from nightclubs and political rallies). Most Israelies like to hike and travel in the North of Israel - The Golan Hights, Galilee, the Kineret and the Jordan rivers and its various watery offshoots, or the South - Eilat, the Negev and the Arava. Even the border around the Gaza strip (the North-Western Negev) is quiet 99% of the year and the prices in the Negev, for food, hotels and accomodations are about 50% cheaper than those in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem (for example - Hommus in Sderot costs 9 dollars while in Tel Aviv it starts with 15). Regarding the sea - the beaches in Tel Aviv are relatively dirty and if you want cleaner beaches with more solitude try Ashqelon and Nitzanim (which is quite close to Gaza) in the South and Nachsholim in the North (the beach there is exactly where the sandy beaches of the Southern Israel, like the Tel Aviv beach, become rocky - like Caesaria's beach). Also, Snorkling in Eilat is much better than covering yourself in black, sticky, mud in the Dead Sea, in my opinion.
The big dangers to Israeli civilians (and tourists) are now over (I actually saw from my window the terrorists executing an elderly passerbye and having a firefight with policemen next to the police station in 7.10). While many citizens are still on reserve duty the country is functiong almost as usual with buisnesses reopening and hiking sites starting to open (though not in the Northern border as things with Hezbollah and Iranian militants from Syria are still volatile). Eilat is also targeted by suicide drones from the Yemanite Houties but it is mostly safe there.
@@legallyregarded it's true, many (i would guess 10-20%) of tel aviv residents are vegeterian or vegan which means there are many places for them. my sister was a vegan (now she's back to being vegeterian) and she always found new places to go to. hopefully this war ends soon and you could come and visit when things calm down again..
A few corrections. First you can and should definitely go hiking in Israel. There are many marked trails in nature including the famous Israel trail going from north to south. Second, Israelis love talking about politics so feel free to ask and most ppl will be happy to share! About modesty you can wear whatever you want in Tel Aviv and should only be concerned with modesty in religious sites or certain neighborhoods in Jerusalem. Also women do not need to cover their hair in Jewish sites at all. Also regarding the taxi from the airport there is also a train you can take for a fraction of the cost of a taxi. Prices of taxis are regulated, make sure to ask them to use the meter and you should be fine.
Thanks for sharing your tips, Anna. One day I’d love to visit Tel Aviv. Your breakfast looked amazing! Also, I like to do a bit of bargaining, myself. Exploring Tel Aviv looks beautiful & one day I would love to email you when I have a trip booked. Thank you for your enthusiasm 😊. I love it!
Hello Alina. Welcome to Israel. I hope you had great flight. And I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy here. Please have fun. If you have any questions. Please feel free to ask.
About the memorial days,I think you should’ve mentioned the holidays in Israel for example yom kipur (in this day you mustn’t drive in the main roads and the whole shops and streets are empty and this is only one example.enjoy Israel and especially Tel Aviv❤️
This was well done, I tried in the past to explain some of the odd things about how Israel has Jews, Christians and Muslims... and how they all co-exist its amazing this and the IDF I have met some wonderful and kind people in the IDF,,, and the food and customs is very well explained NICE VIDEO
I lived in Israel 1990 - 1991 first in Tiberias and then in Nahariya. I found it a very western like country with western brands. Only traffic was crazy but not as crazy as in Italy or the neighboring countries. I missed the warm climate when I moved back to Finland.
Nice video, but I have a few corrections, as an Israeli... 1. Not all McDonald's are kosher, especially in Tel Aviv. 2. In general, the more religious the place, the more kosher restaurants & vice versa. 3. Wear whatever you want, except for holy/religious places. 4. On the Holocaust Memorial Day, we have one siren in the morning & on Yom HaZikaron we have two, in the evening & morning. 5. You can talk about politics as long as you are not "telling" us, the people how actually live here, we are wrong, try to live here yourself before you judge. 6. And we are the most informal people there are, for better or for worse.
Most McDonalds in Israel are not kosher. You just happened to find one of the Kosher ones. In any case, the Kosher ones have non-dairy ice-cream. Also, in your video you show a sign McDonalds Dairy. They probably sell mainly ice cream.
I just came across your Chanel. I love it very informative. Shame about hiking as I love my walks. Maybe when I am ready to go there I will ask where to go for lovely walks.
Sorry but your don't go hiking rule is wrong. There are many designated hiking trails throughout Israel in which thousands of people use per year and they are perfectly safe. The danger of rocket fire is only in the south right by the Gaza strip and most of the time there isnt even rocket fire. Minefields are clearly signposted and blocked off. It's only dangerous if you go off the trail. DO go hiking! It's such a beautiful walk full of nature and amazing views, and a lot of hikes can be done by streams and waterfalls which is perfect in the summer
I've lived in Israel for 15 years and I would NEVER go hiking alone. As part of a group with one (or more) people armed? Fine. But not alone, NEVER, and ESPECIALLY if you don't know Israel like a native.
Traveling to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the South is O.K , but unfortunately going up to Northern Israel could become a problem. Additionally, there seems to be an issue with flight cancelations, so I'd take all of this into consideration.
Many foreign vloggers in Israel are wrong and mislead the public when they describe all McDonald's restaurants in Israel as kosher. *Most* McDonald's in Israel are *NOT* kosher. You can buy a cheeseburger in them, in recent years there are more kosher branches than in the past. What I read recently is the ratio (60% non-kosher / 40% kosher). The kosher branches have different signs, it says "McDonald's Kosher" very prominently. What you showed in the pictures is the usual non kosher McDonald's that has everything like anywhere in the world. Of course the milkshakes are on the menu and not hidden at all, have really been in one??? (in any case, a kosher place that sells meat NEVER ever offers any dairy food! Otherwise it wouldn't have a kosher certificate.) I think that in general, many foreign tourists don't understand what kosher is and don't have an idea about the prevalence of non-kosher food in Israel. They hold this stereotype of Israel as a religious country. This Idea that there are no options for people who do not eat kosher is really ridiculous; The reality is the opposite: there is an abundance of all kinds of foods and cuisines and there are actually non Kosher restaurants all over Israel, also delicatessens and supermarkets (just a few examples: chains like "Tiv Ta'am", "Keshet Te'amim", "Mizra'" and Russian delicatessens and more) where you can get non-kosher food like ham, bacon, prosciutto and shrimps or lobsters if that's you're looking for. This is not only in Tel Aviv. In Israel there also other international American chains that are not kosher, for example Dominos or Papa Johns (except for one kosher branch).
No we must destroy Israel for the atrocities they do to the poor Palestinians Israel must be totally annihilated I’m a Turkish American that’s against Zionism we must crush Zionism
Regarding McDonalds, what has been said in the video is not completely accurate. It is possible to get cheeseburgers, but only in some of the branches designated non-kosher. All you need is to get into Israel Mcdonald's web site in English a check which branches are Kosher and which are not.
plenty of restaurats offer shelfish and some places even pork. and you can discuss world politics as well as local, not a problem either...and hiking in israel is amazing, you just need a tourguide and minefields??? not sure where you got this idea from...for some reason your video gives off an eastern european vibe of israel which it is not - i feel like i watched a review for budapest or something and not a crazy high energy country with lots of tasty eating places and tons of things to see and explore from top to bottom of the country.
In a mosque you have to cover your hair as a woman In a synagogue you do it only if you are a married woman As an ex-waitre tip culture is right and we live on tips and not getting any salary from the restaurant itself But! If they service was awful don’t be shy not to leave a tip and if the waiter asks you why let him know you didn’t like his service, someone of us are working really hard to give the people we host the best welcoming experience whilst some of us just not and it’s important to be honest and leave a tip as if you are evaluating the service, if they treat you like shit and have the courage to change and ask you why let them know however if someone works hard for you 20% would make him appreciate you
basicly half the stuff here is more expensive here but unless you find your self in a strict religes city no body will make you feel unconfterble for asking for non kosher food or dressing inapropriatly, like any small countrey we are delited to see tourists which is also why im watching this video lol, ubseting tourists is the last thing we will want to do. most places will tell you if you need to dress difrently before entering and will even tell you where to get such cloths. and definetly go hiking in israel, although like anna sais- always stay near the path, israel has beutiful roads such as the israel's road/ path- said to be one of the best paths to backpack in the world, but in the idf has to train somewhere, and israel is a small place so there are active minefileds close to somevery remote paths. but they are always fenced off and there are signs on most of them, some sign might have fallen or ripped off, so defently go hiking here its fun and preaty, but if you want to go hiking off grid- join an expirienced israely hiker. all of us speak english, some of us even speak good english. also i dont think there are a lot of things to know abaut judism, after all, its a lot like other relogions in the world and is not that different, and most of the people you meet in the street are atheists or are just pelivers and dont realy do anything different then anyone else besides beliving that the jewish god is real. and i dont think having a privet political talk with and israely can go that bad, most of us are totaly open to it, but because of the long conflict- all of us have a different opinion- so keep it privet if you dont want to create an argument betwin two israelis trying to explain antisemat- erm i mean the bds to you in their own world view. and whats that abaut kissing random people? you guys do that where ever youre from? kinda wierd not gonna lie. btw all the things you said not to bring with you to israel are wierd to carry any where- unless its part of your religion or you are just an idiot, i mean- its like going to the usa with a shirt saying frick all the americans- off course you will get wierd looks from people. and the koran, its like the bible of the muslims, most of us have no problem with that. you will get looks, but if i would have started walking with a tanah and a yarmulka in the middle of nyc- i would obviesly get wierd looks too wouldn't i? finally- we are not a third world countrey, i belive that some videos are kinda liying to you abaut it, i asure you that most people in israel are more civilized than most texas dads (that was a joke im so sorry but its funny, but realy we aren't a third world countrey, most the big cities are like any others in the world, and just when you step out of them you realize i lied, of course where not a third world countrey but anyone out side of the bid cities doesnot agree apparently does not agree. i live in a village in the middle of no where thanks for asking, and yes, i have internet) finaly- im so sorry if you sat through this entire thing
Ok i just have to say in israel most ppl don't care about your political beliefs definitely dont need to mind expressing them we are a very mix society so you can carry any religious book or symbol you want no one will notice couse again very open and mix society 😂 so yeah plz dont be afraid to speak your mind or practice your beliefs ❤ almost forget to add we are warm ppl u can most definitely great us with hugs and kiss on the cheeks ( if your friends or meeting new friends not strangers and religions ppl ) 🎉 have fun on your trip and definitely try the food
I look forward to coming to Israel this year. Even though people are telling me how dangerous it is. 🤔 I need to stay in my own country. Well, I'm all over Asia. I'm not oblivious to what's happening in the world. I'm just smart about it. All the tips you have given work in places that have very different governments. Live and let live. What is the best time of year to visit Isreal. I'm okay with the heat.
if you want to travel the north- go with the any seson, preferibly summer, if you want to travel the south- deffinatly winter, you said you are fine with the heat but anless you live in a hotter place then eilat in the summer- i don't think its a good idea to try and travel the south in the summer lol. but definatly dont be afraid to come here in the first place, idf is one of the strongest armies there are when it comes to defend its land. because we literly have no other option. we have an amzing airial defence force and cipatbarzel (iron dome) which is basicly a realy beefy computer atached to a rocet louncher that can counculate where a rocket is in any time and blow it up mid air before it even gets close to any of the israely setelments. i'dd say that unless a big countrey- that has an interest to end israel- that israel hasn't yet made sure wouldn't attack it would send five full trucks of better bombs then israels to the hamas- we are fine, and even if that happends- we are gonna be able to face these as not only will cipatbarzel blow half the bombs mid air- israels not to secret wepond will protect you- and of course i mean the mosad- one of the strongest secret services in the world. posibly the best of its kind- consisting of israelis who have been traind to become spys for their nation and give up their lives, if you want to know its true power- i suggest watching some videos abaut what happends to people who mess with this guys, but yes you are deffinatly safe and welcomed over here
GO HIKING IN ISRAEL!! If you're into hiking then there are many places you can enjoy hiking, including of course desert areas (e.g. Timna Park and Eilat Mountains) and greener areas in the Galilee and Golan. There are plenty of well marked trails, including Israel National Trail, which goes from the very north to the very south of the country, a total of 1000 km /620 miles that are split into 44 sections. Minefields are not an issue - the few that exist are sealed and clearly marked. The most common hazards for tourists in Israel are SUNSTROKE and DEHYDRATION, as many don't take the precautions needed for high temperatures. Long hikes would probably be better with a guide for most travelers. If you plan for long hikes in the deserts, seek for the lesser hot times of the year if possible. There's surely plenty to see in Israel aside from hiking in nature, but if you want to and have the time - Just get informed and take care. Anyway, enjoy your visit!
if you want to go hiking in Israel it's best to start out early in the morning. I lived and worked on a kibbutz on the Sea of Galilee, it was never too hot to work. We always started early.
I loved the Israeli people and all of my time in Israel. We started working early and took naps in the afternoon. Sometimes we worked until it was almost dark. I loved Israel, it was one of the best times in my whole life. I will never forget it. It wasn't perfect but I loved it plus I really liked the beautiful chicks there. We had a lot of fun together. Also, I'm not Jewish but nobody cared about that. I considered myself lucky to be there. I worked in the banana groves. Usually I worked with older kibbutzniks who were born in Europe. I loved my time there. Most of the kibbutz volunteers were Americans, British, Dutch and Scandinavians. I had a Norwegian GF who was addicted to sucking my cock. OMG! She gave me deepthroat every day! She couldnt get enough of my hot sperm, she loved it!. She ate every drop. She loved it when I came in her mouth. I visited her in Norway. Her mom even tried to suck me off. I think she told her her mom my hot sperm tasted good and my big cock felt good deep down in her throat. I let her eat as much hot sperm as she wanted. I should have let her mom suck me too. I should have let them suck me off together.I think her mom gave great head also. She wasn't married and I think it had been a long time since she had eaten a hard cock like mine. I really drilled her daughter as deep as possible and she loved it. So did I. I jammed my hard cock as deep as possible into her hot mouth. She loved every drop and she ate it all.
Israel is a great country but the only negative thing about it in my thought was that it’s too expensive country but other than that it’s a great destination 🤍🇮🇱💙
Do hike in Israel! Nature here is amazing, especially between January and May! Just make sure you do it safely by going with local people who know where they're going, and be prepared to carry enough water for a day. Getting dehydrated is too easily achieved especially in Summer and, in the deserts, at any time of the year, and is certainly neither good for you nor courteous to your hosts! Do talk about any topic you want including politics! Thus, you will be paying us Israelis respect by engaging in our national sport, arguing! Be however prepared to lose. We're good at it, given we're trained from childhood...
Superb quality video. Israel is modern, clean, full of nice people, and has great weather. It's paradise. Never been, but I am excited to move there, the cost is well worth it! 😄
im sorry to bum you out but it is state law that taxi from the airport to anywhere in tlv or jerusalem is 150 shekel on the dime ! if the driver took more you got stolen(which sadly happens alot) unless if you take gett this price isnt fixated and they can charge how much they like BUT there is a shuttle service at the airport also to tel aviv and jerusalem(or haifa) that work 24/7 and it costs 66 shekel per person also fixated ! something to concider before coming here :)
Great vlog as always Anna! Good one about the dead sea. How do people from the western med. take to Israel? They hug everyone all the time! I remember one of my first times in the UK when the women said love, and darling all the time. I was like Are we going steady? Lol! Keep up the good work. Be safe!
𝗜𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵? Peace between Israel and any other nation depends on the Jewish people being at peace with each other. In the past, Israeli Jews were once united in times of war. Today, even war fails to unite us. There is no need for us to fight anyone. We will finish ourselves off with our own hands. Until we understand that everything depends on uniting above our divisions and discovering a common love, we will have no peace and calm with our neighbors. How does it work? It works because we are a special nation that was established not on biological ties, but on achieving the idea of “love your friend as yourself,” and it is that example of unity that will let us function as a healthy organ in the world. If we achieve such love for each other, then Palestinians will have no drive to fight us, and in general, the hatred against us will subside. If we wish to be at peace with Palestinians and the entire world, we first need to be at peace with each other.
I loved this, you are so cute and entertaining 😋 But I just have to say one thing, at 9:18 you mentionedd women were restricted to administrative positions until 1995?! So you've never heard of Golda Meir, then? Or maybe you mean some restrictions among orthodox groups? Oh, and as your video shows, in Tel Aviv any dress code is fine (unless going to a religious place). It's just a regular Mediterreanean city.

Well said
As an Israeli I think this is an excellent guide to what not to do in Israel.

@@daffyduk77 I don't understand how people like you even dare to say such things, my people suffer from terrorist attacks every other day, rockets and a constant existential threat and you over there from afar dare to visit us, where we will see you living here in Israel for a month and then maybe you will have the right to say something about us
Of course you can get a cheeseburger in McDonald's just not in a kosher one. There's many none kosher McDonald's around Israel

I tip more but 10% is ok
Graet video. just wanted to add a few points:
I added a link to the offical site of our Nature and Parks Authority (you can change the language by klicking on tab on the green line)
www.parks.org.il/map/
7. Last but not least, you can ask the locals for help on any matter or problem you might have Israelis are very warm people and they will be very happy to help you
Hope this helped and that you'll have good time in Israel

I hope you are save with what is happening right now but maybe people are going to Jerusalem because of Jesus or religious reasons
Tel Aviv is said to be one of the best cities for vegans. I wanted to visit around Thanksgiving this year but could not, due to terrorism :(
The big dangers to Israeli civilians (and tourists) are now over (I actually saw from my window the terrorists executing an elderly passerbye and having a firefight with policemen next to the police station in 7.10).

I love it!

I lived in Israel 1990 - 1991 first in Tiberias and then in Nahariya. I found it a very western like country with western brands. Only traffic was crazy but not as crazy as in Italy or the neighboring countries. I missed the warm climate when I moved back to Finland.
Hi there !

❤

Hi! is it safe to take a Holy Land tour nowadays? planning to get a tour on November 2024.
Traveling to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the South is O.K , but unfortunately going up to Northern Israel could become a problem. Additionally, there seems to be an issue with flight cancelations, so I'd take all of this into consideration.
25 degrees is hot for you?? For me it is cool, the average temp in Dominican Republic in all year is 31 to 35 degrees

Wait why is it bad to order an Uber from the airport? What’s a good alternative?
taxi or train

Regarding McDonalds, what has been said in the video is not completely accurate. It is possible to get cheeseburgers, but only in some of the branches designated non-kosher. All you need is to get into Israel Mcdonald's web site in English a check which branches are Kosher and which are not.
Why would anyone order McDonald's anywhere?

if you want to travel the north- go with the any seson, preferibly summer, if you want to travel the south- deffinatly winter, you said you are fine with the heat but anless you live in a hotter place then eilat in the summer- i don't think its a good idea to try and travel the south in the summer lol. but definatly dont be afraid to come here in the first place, idf is one of the strongest armies there are when it comes to defend its land. because we literly have no other option. we have an amzing airial defence force and cipatbarzel (iron dome) which is basicly a realy beefy computer atached to a rocet louncher that can counculate where a rocket is in any time and blow it up mid air before it even gets close to any of the israely setelments. i'dd say that unless a big countrey- that has an interest to end israel- that israel hasn't yet made sure wouldn't attack it would send five full trucks of better bombs then israels to the hamas- we are fine, and even if that happends- we are gonna be able to face these as not only will cipatbarzel blow half the bombs mid air- israels not to secret wepond will protect you- and of course i mean the mosad- one of the strongest secret services in the world. posibly the best of its kind- consisting of israelis who have been traind to become spys for their nation and give up their lives, if you want to know its true power- i suggest watching some videos abaut what happends to people who mess with this guys, but yes you are deffinatly safe and welcomed over here

Are you from Netherlands or Norway? I mean your accent sounds like that
3:59 nope, sorry, this is not true. actually most McDonalds in Israel are not Kosher, and cheeseburgers are available almost everywhere.
13:30 Israelis are too formal? Israelis are anything but formal...
Great vlog as always Anna! Good one about the dead sea. How do people from the western med. take to Israel? They hug everyone all the time! I remember one of my first times in the UK when the women said love, and darling all the time. I was like Are we going steady? Lol! Keep up the good work. Be safe!
The most beautyful youtuber i have ever been seen

I loved this, you are so cute and entertaining 😋
But I just have to say one thing, at 9:18 you mentionedd women were restricted to administrative positions until 1995?! So you've never heard of Golda Meir, then? Or maybe you mean some restrictions among orthodox groups?
Oh, and as your video shows, in Tel Aviv any dress code is fine (unless going to a religious place). It's just a regular Mediterreanean city.
can wear leather jacket inside the church?
Shakshuka is Arabic
