II would recommend going with what ever you want to make, so for example go with cloth gear if you want cloth gear. I personally like making Profession Equipment.
Knowledge Points can be obtained from the Treasures, Kej and Acuity as one time bonuses. Then do the weekly quest and Patron orders as often as possible!
