For real though, in most cartoons there’s normally an episode you skip because it’s somewhat boring or unappealing, but in Hilda, there really is no bad episode.
It's because of the awesome continuity.
agree, i thought there was no episode that makes me fill like its a filler episode
@@lloydeee08 yeah it feels like it went through some parts of Hilda's experiences considering there's a time skip in most of the episodes
Nope!
Hilda is diffrent from other cartoon, i can feel it
No joke, episodes like The Deerfox, The Fifty Year Night, and The Stone Forest are, straight-up, some of the best cartoon episodes I've ever seen.
So true
The Deerfox episode actually made me cry-
@@ifreakinglovehp6281 the deerfox made everyone cry ;v;
@@ifreakinglovehp6281 OH MY GOSH SAME 😭
Def The Deerfor
"The Deerfox" episode made me cry too, it was really touching. I never realized Van Gale and Hilda's mirroring until you mentioned it, amazing video 👍
Same here
Me to I’m 7 as well because twig left her for a little time

I’m glad people actually know what hilda is and how good the show is
I found Hilda while randomly looking for something to watch on Netflix. I like animated shows and Hilda's artstyle was nice, so I watched it. I'm very I happy that I did. The story is touching and extremely enjoyable. After the first season, it already became my favourite show.

I'm so glad to watch Hilda. It's such a comforting show
9:22 they even made it so that some of the trolls that the characters encounter are the same trolls from other episodes, like obviously the 2 headed troll but also the troll that strapped a camera to his arm, and the other ones that have specific shapes, and whenever i see familiar characters i always have a slight excited feeling like "hey thats that thing from the other episode!"
I love the fact that in season 3
In the opening, Hilda's mom hrabs her hand and jumps on a Wof, which also kinda show their relationship during the season
In episode 8, you can see the old man and woman holding hands, meaning it's never too late for them :)
Also
“They don’t just disappear once there episode is done.”
Me(Eyes turns towards Laughing merman episode): About that…..
I haven't finished the video yet but you convinced me to watch Hilda
Please come back here after watching the serie 🥺, this show is just too pure to be let appart
Hilda, despite being a kid's show, has its fanbase mostly made of adults because only they can really appreciate how wonderful this show is. As a child, I have watched the entirety of Hilda in less than a week. I think it deserves a third season, and there are plenty of sad moments throughout the series. But that is what I enjoyed the most: a deeper meaning hidden in a place you'd never expect to find it.
There is a third season now! Well, it’s a movie called Hilda And The Mountain King. It’s amazing! GO WATCH IT NOW!
Well because it like more child imaginary so and it might be actually be more for adults because there are sworing in this show
@@madnessofmortals no actually it’s a canon movie/special but apparently there’s gonna be a 3rd season that will act as the end of the series
@@madnessofmortals look it up online you should find some news about it
@@madnessofmortals yeah i did it was awesome!!!
This show is eye candy and is soothing to the ears and mind.
I don't regret buying Netflix only to watch Hilda, a definition of perfect show.
The word that sums up Hilda for me is "Cozy" a lot of tea, sweaters, hearthfires, and messages about family.
During quarantine, watching Hilda was a big source of comfort and escape for me.
Hilda is amazing. It's my second favourite show of all time, and it has a special place in my heart. Usually I like to give longer messages expressing how I feel when it comes to great videos about the things I love, but I don't have many words. It's just comforting, comforting in a period of uncertainty and depression for me. It really helped in ways I cannot express, and it always reminds me that despite how complicated my relationship is with my mother, we still will always love each other.
The Deerfox episode was that one episode that really emotionally got me. I don't even know how. I watch stuff often, and almost never as emotional as I was during that episode. Hilda it great, it's some of the best stuff out there.
This man is basically talking all my thoughts on Hilda like man this show is beautiful👌
Saw the title and I couldn't agree more.
Hilda is truly a fantastic show to watch, it even won several Annie Awards for Best Animated TV series!
Not going to lie. I lost my dog a few months ago and I absolute broke down at the end of the Deerfox episode. It emotionally destroyed me.
IK :(((

Since there are by far not enough comments here I'll say it.
Your videos are way better than the numbers indicate and you really deserve more attention. Also, i love Hilda and binged it in 2 days
@Lydian R They are indeed, but to be completely honest with you, i wanted to change it for a long time now.
You captured all of my thoughts on hilda so well and even made me even realize a few more things. Hilda is so good and I love the show so much. This show has made me cry and has also made me feel so much joy.
its my favorite show ever, ive probably watched it 10 times and I never get tired of it. I wish more people knew about it because no one I know irl has watched it which makes me sad
17:37, LMAO, perfect way to present him haha, i wasn’t ready for that, but i’m not disappointed
The first time I ever cried during a show or movie was during the episode "The Deerfox" I seriously thought Twig was going to live away for some of the serious parts of the show.
I cried so much during the Deerfox episode. In fact I'm crying rn from ur analysis of the show and the reminder of it
Everything about Hilda is just astounding in a way I can't put into words, it really is an incredible show that makes you feel good, and it pulls you into it's gorgeous world.
Episodes that will make me cry on the best days:
1) The tales of ba sing se, atla (part where momo looks for appa and meeting those cats)
2) appa's lost days, atla
3) the deerfox, hilda
Hilda isn't just a show, it's a legit experience.
this video is absolutely incredible
just watched Hilda and the Mountain King today and I bawled my eyes out. BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Hilda has so good art.
I still think that Hildas Dad is the bell keeper. Can’t wait to see season 3 if they actually reveal the dad 🤪
I don’t think that’s her dad, I feel like Johanna would have told her what he looked like. Instead I think the bell keeper and Johanna will become romantically involved. Or maybe he’ll just be a friend, who knows?
There will not be a season 3, just a final movie
@@22espec oh.
@@22espec no way there’s gonna be a movie then a season 3.
@@markymar The thing is....there is no more material in the comics, all the other stories have been adapted, the only one left is the King in the cave story
I was introduced to Hilda by my cousin, who worked on some of the rigging and animation during seasons 1 and 2. And WOW I'm so glad she did! One of my favourite children's shows now 💙
I just discovered this series on Netflix. I really love the art style and color palette they use. They give warm feeling and comfort for some reason. I’m an adult but this is such a healing show
i discovered the show and almost immediately started taking notes because i would really love to run a hilda themed game of dnd and i am very tempted to include elements of it into my upcoming campaign
Hilda is a masterpiece
It sure is.
So amazing
I like how Hilda just had blue hair and nobody really notices that, but then in the third season they give you more of the family tree, including Hilda’s hair mystery
wait till you watch the third season that just came out you WILL cry and that is a fact.
this cartoon must be pretty damn good
FINALLY SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS AND LIVES HILDA-
this guy is SO underrated!
Really glad I found this video, this show is underrated, thanks for showcasing a bunch of what makes this show so good!
Amazing video one of the most on the nose explanations of the show that I have watched so far well done.
Please post more content if you can! This was fantastic and I wholeheartedly agree with all of what you said. Hilda is one of my favorite shows and fandoms I have ever watched and tysm for making this
I've had youtube recommend this video at me many times and always ended up scrolling past for some reason or other (probably looking at the video time and my own short attention span lol) but having finally watched it, this video really does a wonderful job explaining all the qualities of this show and even digging deeper with some really thoughtful analysis into the extra characters and their roles in the story. Hilda is a show that's not just fun, but amazingly well-executed in just about every area, and it's so refreshing to find a review that acknowledges that for all it's worth. You really did your research for this and this video truly does the show justice, so thanks for making it!!
I have seen this show from start to end twice. And now that my mother spends significant time in home I did not lose the chance to start again. I love watching it with someone new.
I really appreciate that they draw Hilda far away the way they draw Alfur normally, it gives a sense of scale. Alfur's face never gets more detailed (except when he wears glasses if I'm remembering) but it feels like if we got up close and personal with him he'd look like a normal guy. The show also gives me huge Spirited Away/general ghibli vibes. Such a good show.
bruh i never thought of that, i'd love to see him portrayed as a detailed, normal sized dude
Just finished rewatching this after 2 years. This video sums up my feelings for the show. It's beautiful
30 minute video about a guy gushing about how good Hilda is? HECK YEAH!
I know I’m late as hell but wonderful video, dude. You perfectly encapsulated why Hilda is such a modern day classic and an incredible achievement in animation despite it’s small following and lack of support from Netflix. Can’t wait to see more videos like this soon, cheers.
Thank you for your nice comment! You won't have to wait very long because starting next month I'm going to switch over to a monthly upload schedule.
i dont usually comment on videos but!!! this video deserved a comment. it perfectly encapsulates all of my feelings about hilda because it really is a nearly perfect show. gah! time to rewatch it i guess
Can we all agree that the Artstyle of Hilda's books perhaps inspired shows like Steven Universe, Elinor Wonders Why, Nate is Late, Dead End: Paranormal Park, Mao Mao: Heroes of the Pure Heart, Craig of the Creek, Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese and 50/50 Heroes?
This show have put me to cry at least 4 times, I love this show so much and after seen the film, I just can't wait for season 3 now more than ever.
hilda is literally the most beautiful and close to the most intriguing shows i’ve ever watched, definitely a comfort show for me now.
everyone must see hilda :3 i wish it becomes as popular as adventure time and other cartoons cuz hilda is beautiful.
Hilda is criminally underrated
I can't express, how much I love this
Bro.... you almost made me cry with the Mother's Love chapter
You know you love something when you rewatch it 5 times
My kids and I love this show, and your review just made me love it a little more
The interaction between Hilda and her mom in the season 3 intro is a nice progression from the other two :)
I know its beautiful I’ve rewatched it 5 times and still watching i even showed my friends and they loved it
Hilda is one of the best shows all in Netflix. Way better than even some of their most hyped shows. While series like La Case de Papel, Witcher or Stranger Things really vary in their quality, Hilda is just such a treat from start to end ❤️
Its so great to see Hilda getting the attention it deserves. It's underrated and SO GOOD. Love this show
hi! just wanted to say i enjoyed this video a lot, and i can tell you put a lot of work and love into this video. it shows, and i'm glad for it. thank you for making this video, and i agree :)
Great video! Hilda is one of my favorite cartoons!
Dude you are so underated you deserve wayy more views and subs
I really like hilda and the art is just amazing, the storyline is amazing and I cried when I realized it was over
12:07-14:07 I reacted the same way you did to these episodes.
Only show that ever made me cry to.
The soundtrack convinced me immediently, such an amazing show!! : D
this show was so so emotional
Netflix kids have tons of hidden gems
I thought the Deerfox episode was a metaphor of losing a beloved pet. Even though Twig came back, it really felt like that's where the episode was going to go.
Now the s3 is coming out like tomorrow i cant wait to be immersed in this stunning world again
The home song from undertale when talking about Hilda's mother made me cry so bad
Amazing video, really
Can't wait to see your take on the movie!!
no movies or series ever made me cry
just hilda ;;--;;
I loved this show since it came out, and I’m happy that other people find this show awesome and perfect😊
The deerfox episode made me want to cry, it's beautiful and calm.
Playing Groose's theme during the segment about Erik was genius
I love Hilda, i knew that this show was a treasure since watching the trailers and she saying 'Such is the life of an adventurer'
This is amazing
The Johanna point is one of the reasons why I love this show. The drama between them doesn't just go away in one eps.
Yes, at the end in each of those drama eps they always learned to understand each other and it seems like their relationship is going back to normal. But ofc just like real life shit always happens, and so there's always a new drama between them with the final eps of S2 being the boiling point of their relationship.
My favorite example of this, which is in this video, is the teabag drama. In the previous eps, Hilda was grounded by her mom for always lying and at the end both of them say their sorry and they're chill again. But in the next eps, Hilda is annoyed and mad at her mom for her hypocrisy. That kind of stuff is very realistic because it happens to me before. A lot. And so it feels real.
BUT, what makes it even better is that it never felt too dragged out despite the drama between the two of them is fairly common, especially in S2. I believe the biggest reason for that is because none of them are annoying. Just like you said, the two of them are not in the right nor wrong. On one side, Hilda just wanted to play and go on adventures. On the other side, Johanna wanted her daughter to be safe and to never lie to her. It's perfectly valid reasons from both of them.
And just like I said before, they're not annoying. If anything, you really want to root for them. To be like they used to be when we saw them for the first time.
Everything about this show is just amazing. I'm so glad that I watched it a few weeks after the final season. Although, I do wish that we got more seasons, at least 1 or 3 more. Oh well, better to have an ending than not
“They don’t just disappear once their episode is done.”
Me: 👀eyes turn towards season 3’s episode the laughing merman.
After i watched this show, i will never think about England the same way.
Glad theres a film coming soon
"The Lost Clan" is epic though I thought david was going to die
The deerfox episode made me SOBBBB and I have multiple times in season 3
Man the intro of the show just has me day dreaming this is literally in the top 5 best cartoons in the world.
This show is amazing
Awesome video
oh my gosh hilda is so underrated
0:56 - I don't know why, but for some reason this is my favorite scene. I couldn't just stop thinking about it.
Thanks hobo
I’m so happy that the movie exists now
I dont know how to compliment this but this is accurate and you love this show as I myself do…
Hilda gave me all the feels it made me laugh and cry and think
It mix everything on the show
The use of groose's theme from Skyward Sword is so perfect for Ahlberg at his start, the big ego but goofy. But contrary to Groose who become a useful ally, Ahlberg turn more extreme in his way to glory.
Dude, I loved your video, you totally catched the emotions ive feeled towards the serie, btw to say I also totally agree with a 10 out of 10 rating, Hilda totally deserves it.
Props to you for the awesone video ( ╹▽╹ )
Thats it, i’m going back out to the wilderness now.
