      Hi Scott, the bottom level sits 600mm off thr ground. The middle level sits 1100mm off the ground and the top level sits 1600mm off the ground. If you work in inches that would be 24", 44" and 64"..regards

    Why don’t you add short dummy rails all around the rim of the turntable to maintain 360 electrical contact ??

    • @JasonWood_Escarpment
      @JasonWood_Escarpment  2 года назад +1

      Hi Sid, not sure what you mean by placing dummy rails around the rim. This is the full electronic version and the issue is how they have wired it internally..cheers

    • @sid21177
      @sid21177 2 года назад +1

      Hi Jason - I noticed that as long as the turntable girder made contact with the tracks it had power - so, if it was setup so that there were tracks all around it I assume there would be no loss of power - so i was thinking if you could just have rails without ties (similar to the genuine tracks) along the turntable rim you could maintain that 360 contact - just a thought 🙂

    • @JasonWood_Escarpment
      @JasonWood_Escarpment  2 года назад +2

      Unfortunately that is not how this kit works. It doesn't have a true auto-reverser, so it cuts power (very short break) to switch polarity. But when it does this my DCC loco loses it's sound. I have a solution and will share when I implement it

    • @sid21177
      @sid21177 2 года назад +1

      Got it - so the problem lies even with the existing tracks 😐

    • @JasonWood_Escarpment
      @JasonWood_Escarpment  2 года назад

      @@sid21177 yeah it is internal as the rails don't make contact with those rails on the outside. I do have a solution and will share in a future video

    Hey Jason looking great, just my two cents on your control panels, might be hand to not have the coach yard panel directly above the loco terminal panel, as for operations you might have a different person working each one? Hope that makes sense.

    • @JasonWood_Escarpment
      @JasonWood_Escarpment  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Mully, good point. It might be a tight squeeze in that space for 2 people, but they will be two good size yards..hmm

    • @garylaker4335
      @garylaker4335 2 года назад +1

      Yep, more space between operators/control panels the better! Stacking them vertically not recommended.

    • @JasonWood_Escarpment
      @JasonWood_Escarpment  2 года назад +1

      But I have very high expectation of my future operators..there will be tests with operation multiple control panels 🤣😂🤣..only joking..

    Hello Jason. As always, a fascinating update of what you have been up to. I think the whole world is waiting on “ things “ from China. I live in Southern California. Where the big port of Long Beach is located. The dock workers have recently whittled down a backlog of 130 container ships to a mere 30. But……now they are threatening a work stoppage. We’ll see how that works out. Thanks for the update. See ya next time. Take care.
