HEY YOU ABOUT TO POST SOMETHING STUPID:
Yes, I know my hands are large/fat. It's because of a heart condition I suffer from called Congestive Heart Failure. Here's a link to some information about CHF: cle.clinic/2TdS2Ux
One of the symptoms is that it causes fluid retention, mostly in the hands, feet/ankles, and face..

Happy New Year, Paul! I've been looking for a rocker-bogie base to experiment on; bought the Servo City one, but this seems a lot nicer. I suspect the obstacle avoidance issue may be due in part to the soft furniture you have, which probably absorbs the ultrasonic sound instead of reflecting it.
Best wishes for a healthy and successful 2024!
Bill
Thanks Bill. Same to you!
@@learnelectronics is this controllable over network or only wifi direct?
It says you can switch it to your network. It starts off as an AP, but I haven't found a way in the app to switch it. It would be doable in the source code. I haven't looked in there yet.
this looks a like a really nice complete kit with everything you need including tools.
Cool kit. Happy New Year
Awesome!
Great video, so impressive and a lot of fun!
Damn, Paul...I'm still trying to remember my experiences with Tinker Toys, and the metal kits, from the 1960's! Lol Happy New year!
Maybe name him Roll-over instead? 😁😂😉 Looks interesting, probably needs some better programming.
Happy new year! 🙋🏼♂️
Some strong double sided tape on the tires might let it climb your walls :)
The kit mechanical design is very impressive. I assume the "avoidance" issue is fixable in software. Did you contact the vendor to provide feedback and get any corrections. I see that the kit is not available on Amazon at this time. Any idea when it might be?
Remember the Radio Shack Hero Jr.
Wonder if anyone has done a Arduino conversion on one.
I do! I don't remember much about it, but I can picture it in my head.
BTW...I saw those donuts on the table! Lol
I’m not so sure they have wi-fi on mars?
Oh, you haven't seen Elon's latest announcement lol hahaha
Was'nt that a David Bowie song ?
Not all those Starlink satellites are revolving around the Earth. Some hitched a ride on Elon's red Tesla. To Mars or bust. 😂
@@bblod4896 LOL
The first Terminator was activated on January 2, 2024. Doggly knew what was going on. Sleep with one eye open Paul. 😐
☮️ brother.
Try it outside after the next snowfall.
Doggo is not amused!
I wonder if Elon's Tesla that was launched into space has a similar obstacle avoidance system on board?
Is that Tesla still transmitting photographs back to earth?
No, Count count?
Ha, ha, ha!
Doggy .....RUN!!!!!!!!!
She was not having any this thing!
Would be interesting if it could be converted to use 802.ah (HaLow) and went faster. Then you could get some real outdoor distance (maybe up to 3KM) with it.
if you put your phone on it and connect to it with a hotspot it has unlimited distance
@@Blox117 But it is your phone you are controlling it with. You need to keep that. You could use a 2nd device and a VPN between the two. Not too keen on sending my phone off in the distance though.
