      The lack of knowledge from the customer side of things. People do not know much about pressure washing they are willing to hire just about anyone the first time without really knowing anything about them or their business or quality of work. I think this guy is a hustler and grinder like me but he lacks a lot of knowledge regarding this business and he did horrible at giving the info the viewers need and want. I would love to do a video like this regarding reselling items online because i know it would go viral haha. Love the content UpFlip the channel idea is super unique and amazingly done. Everyone who is watching this video thats knowledgeable regarding this business is probably very aggravated because this guy lacks a lot of experience and knowledge regarding pretty much everything but he is out there making money and thats all that matters. I feel like having good equipment is key but being knowledgeable and giving your customers the best service possible is also a huge plus. When it comes down to advertising its best to do things old school at the beginning because its cheap but successful, flyers, business cards and word of mouth. Networking and building relationships is very very important in this business and with any business for that matter. Being able to properly quote a job is key as well. Overall this business is defiantly something worth starting if you are prepared to work your ass off and if you understand the business side of things and know how to make leads and sale jobs.

    Don't over look working with local exterior paint contractors. They will pay you to pressure wash homes before painting. It's worth it to them to have the job already pressure washed before they show up on site

Hose reels aren’t needed but would be the first thing I would buy if I was you. Helps a lot with this you can wash house and flat work . For roofs you would need a soft wash system

    Well, if 9 out of 10 people come to you asking to have their roofs cleaned, and apparently you are one of the few guys who do the job, why don't you advertise "roof cleaning" on your truck?
    Put on a good paint job on the truck, with you logo, your number and "roof cleaning".
    And put on a website with the services you provide and some prices "starting from".
    Truckwise I always love when people or companies do a paint job and make their vehiclea lool like racing cars. Full of color and logos. It's just fun.

    Where would you go to purchase a pressure washer for commercial use?

    • @jamesg863
      @jamesg863 3 года назад +4

      I bought my 4gpm at power equipment direct. It costed me about 1,300, but you really can start out with one from Home Depot. Just make sure it’s CU is over 7k and you get that number by multiplying the gpm x psi.
      Best advice is not going with an electric. They just don’t have the power that you’ll need.

      Essentially, a Honda pressure washer is your best bet. I bought a cheaper Ryobi pressure washer, that uses a Honda motor, years ago. I've used it many times, and it does fine. I would say you really only need super high pressure on concrete.

      @@divulgewithchip1099 my bad. Well here’s the deal with that, his machine is capable of running a 4gpm pump. If he hooks up with a line that has low flow or let’s the pump sit on idle for too long, the uploaded recirculates the pump water to keep the pump cooled. The buffer tank is used to keep supply water at hand, and pump water recirculating. If he’s doing this 5 days a week with out one, that pump is toast. That’s not a cheap pump either. But, I’m not the one that should be saying this, I’m not giving the advice. I’m just a nobody. And never claimed to be more. I could however save this guys equipment from failure.

    If you've got a good commercial pressure washing machine rated for 4 or 5 gpm, doesn't that machine require that volume of supply water to operate? What do you do at a residential property that can only supply 2.5 gpm or less? Won't this destroy your machine?

    • @UpFlip
      @UpFlip  3 года назад

      Hopefully an expert can shed some insight on this Chris. Quick research shows that single-family homes, should have a minimum flow of 6 GPM. This flow would provide 360 gallons of water each hour, which would be sufficient to meet most home water peak demands

    • @chrisgraham2904
      @chrisgraham2904 3 года назад +3

      @@UpFlip Newer homes with 3/4" or larger supply lines are recommended by code and will achieve the 6 GPM rate, but many older homes have 1/2" lines and old lead and steel pipes are often restricted by corrosion and only delivering the equivalent of a 1/4" line. Nothing you can do to control the condition of a residential customer's water supply lines. Best to test the flow with a 5 gallon pail and time it. If the flow does not exceed the requirements of the pressure washer, it might be wise to forgo the job rather than destroy your equipment.

      what I did was start small I got a $350 pressure washer with a gas engine NON ELECTRIC.... bought a $30 water hose 100ft... if you focus on cars and wood I recommend Low pressure 1600 or less because you can cause problems and unless you have insurance to fix those problems then you are screwed. He used the wrong nozzles... all you need is some simple nozzles that adapt to the end of your pressure washer wand a turbo nozzle is for when you want to do medium sized areas like walkways or small driveways... shampoos and conditioners are not beginner tools but certain things like rust spots in driveways need stuff like that but don’t worry about the soaps.
