@@yjk8376 I’m sorry you feel that way, have you been to Canada? I visited Seoul South Korea back in 2003 during the SARS outbreak and it was great, I’ve also had the privilege of visiting many other countries, and loved them all for different reasons but my heart belongs to Canada.👍🇨🇦

So, the main reason why Canada as added these images that can only be seen under black light, is because, since Canada is so well respected as a country, our passports were also amongst the most counterfeited! So, in order to counter the "black market" , AND to add a layer of protection, in 2018 the government decided to add them in the passports! Since it is a patented technology that is unique to Canada, it is easier for border agents around the world to spot a counterfeit one! Now, the reason I added the fact that it's a patented technology, is because, although other countries may use some similar techniques to have images appear under black lights, this technology allows us to add many layers of colouring. That is the reason why there are so many colours that appear!
