    As Japanese living in overseas for many years and traveling all the time, sometimes I really feel some advantages of having Japan passport especially at the airports and when I apply for residential visa. When I traveled with my friends(from various countries), my friends were being asked so many questions mainly about the purpose of visit at the immigration but they asked me nothing and let me enter quickly so I had to wait for my friends for so long. I’ve experienced this kind of situation many times before in many countries. Of course I never know the truth but I assume those immigration staff are judging by the nationality of passport. Not bragging or anything it’s just a small matter of life but just telling some stories..

      Was it hard to take a passport 🧐

    • @iyadart
      @iyadart 10 месяцев назад +22

      @@mujtabamohammad3893Contrary to common belief, obtaining Japanese citizenship is easier than in the US and many European countries. However, to be qualified, you must live and work in Japan continuously for more than five years. Additionally, you will be required to write an appeal letter stating your reasons for wanting Japanese citizenship, so it is important to think of a compelling justification. Other factors that will be considered favorably include having conversational level proficiency in Japanese, being married to a Japanese person and starting a family, and being able to provide proof of a stable income. Working as a part-time or freelance employee would generally be viewed negatively by the authorities. Once you have completed all the requirements and submitted the necessary documents, you can expect to wait for about a year while they conduct a background check before granting you citizenship.

    • @lieselmeminger267

      @@iyadart Congratulations. Very happy for you. But... How do Japanese people react and behave when they see a foreigner? Have you ever faced with discrimination or prejudices? (I hope, this question will not bother you. I just heard, Asians are a bit racist 🙈.) Is it difficult to find a good job and to get employed there?

    • @iyadart
      @iyadart 10 месяцев назад +18

      @@lieselmeminger267 Generally speaking, Japanese people are very subtle in expressing their emotions or opinions. While discrimination and prejudice do exist, they often go unnoticed, flying under your radar 99% of the time. This is why tourists or short-term visitors to Japan often fall in love with the country. However, once you live there long enough, you start to connect the dots and read between the lines.
      The main issue is not with Japanese people themselves, but rather with Japanese corporate culture, which places a heavy emphasis on hierarchy. Moreover, Japan is a homogenous society, so no matter what you do, you will always stand out as a foreigner. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that most Japanese people don't speak English at all. As a result, potential employers may be hesitant to hire foreigners, fearing that they might disrupt the corporate harmony by introducing a different culture and perspective. Consequently, your job options may be limited to what we call "White Monkey Jobs" which include fields like English teaching, modeling, marketing, or other positions that symbolize corporate prestige and international status.
      Based on my experience, I would advise against pursuing a career in Japan. It took me years to realize this, as I had initially assumed my own incompetence was the reason for being rejected from job positions in Japan. However, I now earn my income by working remotely with reputable clients overseas, holding high-level positions. Thus, I am certain that my career being stifled in Japan had nothing to do with my skills or qualifications.
      One interesting way to understand Japanese society is by exploring the "politeness theory," particularly the concept of "negative politeness." I highly recommend reading the article on Wikipedia, and there is also a paper titled "THE APPLICATION OF POLITENESS THEORY INTO ENGLISH EDUCATION IN JAPAN," which is available to read for free online.

    The only reason there is a difference between SK and Singapore, Japan as a free entry country is simply the presence of NK. Almost S.Koreans and US peoples are not allowed to enter NK personally for any purpose, but this is not true for Japanese and Singaporeans. Some fellows from neighboring countries often bring up stories about China visa, but this is a fact that has been in effect since the Cold War era of the 20th, decades ago, so it has nothing to do with the explanation of why free entry to 193 and 192 countries is possible at this point, respectively. There is no If we apply that logic together, it means that if S.Koreans can freely enter China and NK without a visa, they will be able to enter up to 194 countries.

    It is ironic that North Korea's passport power ranks 100th while South Korea's passport power ranks 2nd. South Korea and North Korea are the same people, but their political systems are different, so the power of the country is different. It is a tragedy that the reason South Korea's passport power ranks second, unlike Singapore and Japan, is because of North Korea. Because North Korea is the only country where South Korea cannot travel without a visa, South Korea's passport power ranked second. It's so ironic.

    In our family we have an Irish, an Australian and a British passport so our daughter has access to all 3 depending on which she chooses. Even though this video ranks the British passport the highest as it's based on short term or holiday visa 's we feel that a EU passport is much stronger as it can give you permanent working rights across the EU. It would be interesting to see the list of passports which offer permanent entry to other country's to see which passport is actually the strongest.

      However, this is done to facilitate planning and to avoid inconveniencing others, and is based on the spirit of consideration and discipline. So it's the same when we meet friends! basically we arrive 5~10min before

It's not him being anti-China Korean, but Chinese tourists aren't welcomed in the vast majority of countries because of their mannerisms. Chinese are notorious for that, except that the Chinese themselves don't know that. Their state media and textbooks talk about how the world loves China when basically every single country has more people who hate China than who like or have no feelings about it (Yes, this is available as stats, so it's not just coming from me). Also, if they immigrate, they sometimes bring their own political preferences about the one-party state, which don't get along with the ideologies of the vast majority of developed countries. So the Chinese people are tricky to deal with.
