As you can see, there are 2 endings for everyone in this game. If you have the PS version, you'll get the earlier ending, which could be considered real. If you played the arcade version instead, you'll get the later ending, which is the funny one! There aren't translations for the funny ones, but for the real ones you can find them on Rubycored's account. I'll try to explain what happens in the endings. In the order of this video, real first & funny later.
Before the endings: after beating Fortune, she loses her power and ends up as a baby. It took about 10 years to regain her power (V). Close to her was the jar of magical drops that grants the winner a wish of choice.
Fool: both of his endings are silly, but so is he, so thats to be expected.
Real: He decided to use the drops to switch places with his cat. Magician notes that something seems "strange" about them.
Funny: maybe he canned the wish? Anyways, the Fool from MD1 returns again (like in 2), this time with a bunch of rice balls. The 2 are enjoying the food, until they realize that they were actually fluffballs instead. oops!
Magician: he's a bit of a butt-monkey at times, but he doesn't have it so bad this time.
Real: He decided to not use the wish. Instead, he decides to bring baby Fortune to a save place. Knowing that an "evil force" vanished from Fortune, he hopes that she will be loved again.
Funny: He tried to use the drops to create a harem (make Temperance, Star, & Judgement love him), but they quickly snapped out of it.
High Priestess: my main in MD2. Shame she wasn't in V though.
Real: She wishes to study more about astronomy, so the drops turned to constellations themselves. She doesn't know about the one that looks like a book, so she'll check that up.
Funny: she finds her current books childish and wishes for a section filled with books for adults. Sadly, these turn out to be R-18 which disgusts her at first, until she decided "maybe i can learn something from this". (As they say, be careful with what you wish for...)
Empress: looks like she got brainwashed by BP, just like in 2.
Real: with the magical drops, she transforms back to her real form. Afterwards, she goes to pray to the gods and requests her servants (Devil & Strength) to join her. They don't like it!
Funny: she wishes for servants who'll always obey her orders. However, she recieves Fool & Magician (both not that good) instead. all that hard work for a lackluster reward!
Emperor: I don't like him... how dare he tries to massacre Hierophant like that!
Real: he swallows the entire jar and lets his yaoi side take the better of him, making him declare his love for Hiero, who has no idea why that happens.
Funny: he wants Hiero's affection, but got caught by Priestess & Moon. They stuff him into a sack and throw him into a river, hoping that they'll never see him again. Hiero's relieved by this.
Hierophant: my favorite of the cast, and my main in 3. 💙
Real: he used the drops to cure the Tower. The magic worked; after the Tower regained consciousness, he was very happy. They decided to wait until the Tower could freely move again before they left the place.
Funny: he planned to give away the drops, so that someone else could get their wish granted. Priestess, Temperance & Moon want the drops, but they end up fighting over who should recieve it. Poor Hiero...
Lovers: the 2nd main character of F. I like her design in F more than in III.
Real: they decided to take the drops as snacks. After they ate most of them, they fell asleep. (either since they were stuffed or tired from the battles.) Sweet dreams!
Funny: (i'm uncertain if i described this ending correctly.) the girl wanted to turn her piggy into a human and began imagining about that, but in the end, she decided to keep the piggy the way it was.
Chariot: the poor warrior can never catch a break, huh?
Real: his mentor Hermit appears out of nowhere and tried to take the jar of drops from him. He tried to pull it back, but they end up dropping the jar and losing the drops he earned. Dammit, Hermit!
Funny: he wishes for another weapon, so he obtained a sword as reward. However, said sword turned out to be a swiss army knife with lots of tools, making it not quite as handy as he thought it would...
Strength (daughter): 1 of the main characters this version. She's a very popular choice in competitions...
Real: she became quite hungry after the battles, so she decides to race back home with Lovers to get something to eat. Guess they shared the drops?
Funny: she wishes for a new, beautiful house. Wish granted! ...only for both Strengths to wreck it while they were playing around.
Justice: the main charatcer herself in F, and 1 of the most popular characters in the series.
Real: she regretted her previous wish, so she used them for accessories that suited her. The result is excellent! She'll show it to the others later.
Funny: she wanted to cook for the others, so the drops did the trick, but they only suited Devil & Deaths tastes. Epic fail!
