Your car choice is great! I really like to see people who aren't influenced by the internet or other opinions and BTW it looks even slicker! Well done!
That’s so cute, Bear knew that Jeep was your vehicle already when he walked out there. I think he understands more than what meets the eye when you talk to him.
Love the car, it's perfect for an active young family. I am living in Jomtien and rented a car recently (1st time driving here). I really want to buy a little run around car. Everyone I know here, has purchased new cars and insist it's the safest option to avoid pitfalls (flood damage etc). Im not in a position to buy a new car though. I'm planning a trip to check out Hua Hin as a possible move so going to hire a car and make the drive. We'll done fellow Aussies!
Believe me this Car was made for Thailand!! 💯 also, Suzukis are really good cars. The only thing you have to worry about is the mileage, which I don't hear anyone talking about if the mileage on this Suzuki is under $200,000. If it's $160,000 mi then that would be a great car. If it's less miles than that that would be an awesome.car 👍 Hopefully this car isn't over 200,000 mi. That's how we say it in the USA. Anything $200,000 mi or it because cars don't last long after $200,000 mi and the ONLY the exception For cars that run well over 200,000, mi would be Hondas and Toyotas
Hua Hin! I have travelled Thailand extensively and found Hua Hin to be a real jewel in the Crown. There are really lovely Restaurants on the Finger wharf, lovely clean beaches, great shopping, a vibrant night life and multiple accommodation options. It is a slow trip by train and bit of a fight in traffic getting there by mini bus from BKK, but once there it is great. I wish you all the very best with your life choices now and in the future.
We had a Suzuki Vitara for 14 years, it was 2 years old when we bought it, one service, two batteries, two exhausts lately, she got written off as someone drove into the back of it, great cars Suzukis, she’ll be right
Jimny is the hardest and strong suspension it bounce every little hole on road for me I can't hold it more than 1hr. drive. May be good to used in rural farm.
I love your cute little jeep! Perfect for Thailand! Looks in really good order for a 31 yr old car! And how awesome that there are service station attendants!
Great advice about Facebook Market Place, our local police department encourages ALL FB transactions take place in the parking lot of the station and no cash given till both parties and the item is present. The truck is GREAT ! I am going to miss my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk here in the states, but I will be getting a Ford Ranger Raptor to replace it in Thailand :) That new Kabab place on Soi 94 looks great and get your car wash at the same time ! :) Hope all is well dude !
Just a question for you guys. Do you have proper insurance? The mandatory insurance you have to get to get registration is not proper insurance, my understanding is that will just pay to scrape you off the road in case of an accident but covers no damages. You need 1st or 3rd class insurance. 1st class insurance will cover your car and the other car in the accident and 3rd class will cover the other persons car only.
Lovely car is it convenience fir both of you and very safe to on coming new baby. Loves your video good luck and thanks for loving to staying in Thailand. We always welcome.
If you do the vehicle transfer at the Land Transport department, it is same day, maybe wait for the book a few days , but usually on the spot. Also it makes sure it is all legit before money changes hands. The car book is blue, motorcycles ,green. New car plates are on red temporary plates.
I don’t know whats good or bad in a foreign country but the vehicle I would buy in USA is a Toyota. I have a 1994 Nissan 4 wheel drive pickup truck which I bought in 1997. It’s the best vehicle I’ve owned but when I buy another it will be a Toyota P/U because I would intend it keep it for as long as I’ve had my Nissan P/U. Yes, Safetywing is what I will be signing up with soon. I will need to come back to this post in November to sign up before I start traveling.
I Love Love Suzuki's We have Suzuki samurai in the USA in that year all through the'90s, but I love that it is so cool looking 😀✌️Super Cute Now how many miles ?? The miles are the most important thing when buying a used car and you didn't tell us ? Please let us know the mileage I'm dying to know
Many of those car dealers are scam outfits. My advice to you is to find some Thai friends and go to a car dealer as you saw in the advertisement. At least he would get some good idea about the history of the car you like. Best of all buy a brand new one if you can afford it. But if you're budget-tight always go to a brand-name car dealer and look for a second-hand car, you'll be safe in all aspects.
Congratulations on the awesome vehicle, but I think a 4 door would have suited your present lifestyle a little better, especially getting a baby in and out of a car seat in the back seat. Hope it all works out for you though.
Congrats, I'm so happy for Bear! Yes, I've seen people bringing their dogs to Khaotakiab Beach so it is fine. I agree that buying a used car with low maintenance can save a lot of money. Sometimes, the fancier the car, the more costs to fix. BTW, you can get decent carwashes (by humans) in many gas stations for only 100 baht (just exterior) and you don't even have to get out of the car! Try checking them out.
Thats a great car and a great deal. I thailand all you need is some local transport and this car will do that perfectly. Forget about impressing people you dont know and getting in debt over it. dumbest folk ever who do this buy cash, maintain the car and it will serve you for years. Hua Hin is peaceful driving so should be no issues. make sure its safe is the nr1 thing
Driving in Thailand is another place where we accept that the roads are risky, safety and road discipline are poor. Driving in Thailand requires awareness and always looking around. Don't forget that Thais can't stand the sound of horns. Never honk unless necessary.
I am in car rental business, i make it a rule to stay away from cars over 10 years old, my husband can fix most of issues with the car himself, question is can you??? Old cars can be a money pit, especially with high humidity, where you guys are. I would stick with Toyotas for older cars
After getting a baby in and out of the backseat a few times you're going to wish you had a four door vehicle. But you two are still young and may not mind it.

Suzuki Caribbean suspension very hard and strong. Be careful about overheat engine.I wish you will be happy with Suzuki:)
That car looks absolutely spot on. Space, rugged, not so new that you're terrified to scratch it, and yeah looks sweet af.
Also Suzuki, meant to be pretty good to repair and no doubt plenty of parts over there.
Well jealous, enjoy!
Great video but we need more information on the car and the price you paid as well as the prices you saw when looking at other cars?
Jimny is the hardest and strong suspension it bounce every little hole on road for me I can't hold it more than 1hr. drive. May be good to used in rural farm.
Good stuff, an ideal car for Thailand exploring. Well done, thanks for the tips.
Loving the ride guys and perfect for the beach runs and emergency birth time trips! All the best and be safe on the roads 👏❤️
Interesting to see the hoops you have to jump through for the purchase!! Also just saw your family Instagram Congratulations!!...viv

That depends if the old plates are on the same city.
Otherwise you wait a week or so.
Love the car. Maybe new ceiling for aesthetic or creativity. Going to be great for the 4 of you.
Probably a good investment.
The new Jimny costs like 2 million in Thailand.
That will drive the prices of the old model up.
OMG- total great information for anyone trying to buy a car and walking into an absolute mess in Thailand.
Yay 👏👏so happy for you 👍 you have four wheels xx
You bought a little Donkey..
Enjoy the safety of 4 wheels for your new little family guys..

Handy info thanks ✌
I learned how to drive with this particular model in 1996.
Suzukis are well reliable I had one that never went wrong
Ok for local travel but not very comfortable on long trips. I would be tempted to hire something more comfortable if going on long trips.
How much was car? Would be good to get a comparison to Australia

There is no age limit for insurance.
น่ารัก..ครับ

A baby on the way and a 2 door car?
I think this car consumes a bit too much gas, but if you don't mind it, it's okay.
เยี่ยมครับอยู่ประเทศไทยต้องมีรถยนต์ถึงจะสะดวกในการเดินทาง
Why use this model? Nice to use a passenger car This model is uncomfortable to sit in.
Stop blow things up.
Or, go to pattaya , pay thb 5000, and get a thai driving licence , problem solved !
I've read all the comments. Lt seems like you guys are completely ignorant.
