I live in the mountains north of Thailand, using a Toyota in Thailand is a great value. Because it's easy to find spare parts. You can stop by any garage in an emergency. It's durable and can carry a lot of stuff.
Cannot beat a Toyota Hilux Diesel for reliability and running costs. If you drive a lot and want a comfortable ride in Thailand, you would not go for those low profile tyres. The Revo; model after the Vigo is better with the 2.4 and 2.8 turbo diesels but 124,000 baht was a bargain.
Hi Adam! Congratulations on the purchase of the Toyota. That is one of the most bulletproof vehicles one can buy! Great price too, under $$4,000 US. May you have many years of enjoyment….Well done Sir!
Congratulations on the new car purchase. You will blend in nicely. With dark tinted windows they won't even realise that you are a farang. Make sure that you weave in and out of traffic, remove the muffler, lower it and blow black smoke out the back - just to authenticate the look!
Congrats on the new ride mate, great choice! I bought a MU-X when we moved here 2years ago for many of the same reasons, wanted something made in Thailand easy to repair snd service. Make a Hilux transformation series!
Optimal choice. However, with the wheels I would have gone the other way. The white ones don't match the character of the car. There are frequent floods and muddy, slippery paths as we see. Larger rims and taller All-terrain tires were the more sensible choice. Then the chassis wouldn't be too high.
Been enjoying your videos for a while now. You seem like a genuinly nice peerson who respects the country's that he visits. You show a beautiful side of Thailand and it's people. Good luck to you and your adventures it's nice to see you got a new way to enjoy your freedom in life. Cheers brother!
Congrats, Adam. I'm looking forward to the rest of the mods. I've been a huge fan of Might Car Mods for at least a decade. Maybe you can do an informational video about purchasing a car in Thailand as a foreigner? What is the paperwork like, what to watch out for when shopping, buying insurance, etc. Also, did you consider Isuzu Dmax in your buying process?
Finally 😊 For me it did take a few weeks after moving to Thailand to have a car, can not life without an engine and wheels but yes also never lived downtown bkk traffic community 😊
Bruh..I'm smiling for you. I know the feeling when buying a new vehicle. New to you that is!! It's a great feeling. Truck looks amazing and so do the rims. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Cheers bud!!
Nice looking truck, it looks a lot like my 2010 Toyota Tacoma , the nice thing is the tie downs in the bed, you and your daughter can throw your bike in there and travel all over , next purchase, a foldable ramp and an upside down bucket
Did you keep the original rims ? Throw a pair of A/T (F) and M/T (R) on them so you can occasionally take it to fields, festivals etc when needed ......you need to do Big Mountain Music Festival at least once.....
So happy for you! Is this a sign that you're really thinking of being in Thailand for the long haul? Can't wait to see what customizations you have in store. I'm imagining an LED-lined underbelly is a must-have. Japanese Dekotora style!
I would of liked to seen a Nissan Cefiro A31 and have some boost in your life. Here in Malaysia I drive a BMW E36 325 but I do miss the 180SX I have back in Australia. Still a nice buy and enjoy, sure it will take you everywhere.
Congrats bro so happy for U. What a year 2024 has been for U new place and now the car can't wait to see the journey on the build on it. Hope U will take me for a spin in it next time I'm in BKK brother
Congratulations mate, it looks in great condition. Thats one thing I miss living in Asoke, having a car. Driving in that traffic would make me insane. Its a great choice getting the pickup, Get yourself a ramp for putting the bike on the back and throw your bike on and drive all over 😎
I’m so happy for you Adam. Can’t wait to see what body colour you’re going for.. Red? Like your MR2? 🤭I’ve been looking at a 620, planning to get one. Enjoy your new ride. Have fun modifying it! 🥳🙏🤙
Great looking truck, love the style of the new wheels. With those tiny tires and lowering of the truck it looks like your going for the street style look instead of the all terrain beefy jacked up look, lol.
Congrats Your first car in Thailand..👊 Yeah, just like me when I buy a new car it can’t Not stay stuck😂♠️ it just needs some Matt White /black and golden stickers 🌴😉✌️
Great unit. Rock solid, But I don't think the low profile tires are going to do you any favors when it comes to potholes or rough roads. Love the wheels though. Fun projects ahead. P.S you got a hell of a deal on the price.
Nice ! I've recently met Chef Nikul, here in my hometown in N. Idaho. He's from Bangkok and highly connected in Thai car culture scene...owns a suspension shop there. Making awesome connections before my move. I can wait to see ypur mods you do. 🤘😘💨💨➡️🇹🇭
A diesel truck in Thailand is the way to go. Looks like it was a good value purchase. I'm surprised you put the new wheels on already though, since it's the rainy season and there's still flooding. 🤔
Casually has a set of new shoes for 'er! What a purchase. You've put some research into that hey. Bangkok car will/won't/should/I...nightmare in this Old Town...and just for the bike! Goes well man!
Congrats on the truck. I am current shopping for a truck and that is exactly what I am looking for, but it would cost 4 - 5 times in the US what you paid. Even the small trucks over here are huge because of the stupid EPA rules. They want about $20k (700k Baht) for something like you got that is 10 years old.
Adam, that is perfect. I was hoping you would buy ...this pickup. Perfect you can put ur bike on the bed n stuff. You may put a bit high metal fabricated canopy on back n also a roof top rent on top of it 124k baht is a steal.......... Options are endless...... New wheels are awesome 😮
Nicely done mate. That's the sort of rig I want to get once I move there full time. I hope you got a Front wheel alignment when putting on the new treads?
Nice truck 💯. We don't have that model in the USA!! What do you mean? It's too high and you're going to fix it. I hope you're not going to lower it.?? Do not lower it. It's already low. If you lower it and you go over them big potholes you'll be sorry. When you lower trucks they get thrashed very quickly. I would just put some nice tires and wheels or whatever I don't know if that's what you meant but😅 Maybe I didn't hear you correctly. Anyway, nice truck
Congrats on the car, Adam. The look of excitement on your face was infectious. The original wheels & tyres looked better :-(
Good choice. Toyota truck is very popular in Thailand. Low maintenance cost and any garages can fix it.
Those things are absolute tanks. Look at the vids on Top Gear that they made trying to destroy one. That price is insanely cheap as well. Enjoy.
Haha yeah that’s the main reason I want one 🤣🤣
It was more of the classic one, but the price you got this for is incredible… good buy that 👍
i crashed one of these drunk once in melbourne lol... oh well

Thanks mate! Yeah they are bulletproof for sure, that’s why I really wanted one 😊
Good buy! The white wheels ugh, gag other than that looks fine
Congratulations on the new car purchase. You will blend in nicely. With dark tinted windows they won't even realise that you are a farang. Make sure that you weave in and out of traffic, remove the muffler, lower it and blow black smoke out the back - just to authenticate the look!
Congratulations, enjoy the truck!! Let it keep you safe on the road.
It's the 2.5 D4D. The 2.7 is the gasoline version.
Congrats on the car Keis, most popular car in Thailand for every day use. Great car and built well. Can’t wait to see the mods. Stay safe bro
Oh, so this is why you did the suit commercial. Nice car, good for you.
Love those white tyres ❤
Thanks mate! Very happy!

Hey Adam. Toyota is great. I have Prius (2020), and loving it.
Adam, this is why this is a such a great channel. What you see is what you get. Riding your coat tails through this amazing life of your''s.
Can't go wrong with a Hilux. Congrats on your ride.
Did you keep the original rims ? Throw a pair of A/T (F) and M/T (R) on them so you can occasionally take it to fields, festivals etc when needed ......you need to do Big Mountain Music Festival at least once.....
Congratulations !!!!! 1

Thanks mate, yeah it’s a lot of car for that money, they are really well priced here!
Congratulations mate, it looks in great condition. Thats one thing I miss living in Asoke, having a car. Driving in that traffic would make me insane. Its a great choice getting the pickup, Get yourself a ramp for putting the bike on the back and throw your bike on and drive all over 😎

Casually has a set of new shoes for 'er! What a purchase. You've put some research into that hey. Bangkok car will/won't/should/I...nightmare in this Old Town...and just for the bike! Goes well man!
Haha yeah I sat on the idea for a really long time and looked online at hundreds.. really happy with the purchase 😊
Great buy mate! Hard to beat the Toyota Hilux .
I seen one in Kathu with the full carbon skin and green tray and roof , looked good
Congrats on the truck. I am current shopping for a truck and that is exactly what I am looking for, but it would cost 4 - 5 times in the US what you paid. Move the registration sticker to the upper left corner that gives you full view view to watch out for motorcycles
New Suit, new wheels .... Nice one !
Nice ride, can't go wrong with Toyota for longevity. Not a fan of the white tires though , just keeping it real LOL
Nekminnit it’s pink with a retractable disco ball and 10000 fluro lights haha. Looking forward to seeing what you actually do with it though mate 👍🏼
Nice truck 💯. We don't have that model in the USA!! What do you mean? It's too high and you're going to fix it. I hope you're not going to lower it.?? Do not lower it. It's already low.
