Looks delicious!! Btw, Aunty.. what is “MSG”?
Hi Tulika, MSG stands for monosodium glutamate, and is also known as aji no moto. Aji no moto is a Japanese word. The Japanese first started using it in their cuisine and distributing it around the world. In India we still use this Japanese word, but globally it is known as MSG.
@@JyotisLittleTreatCorner in short Chinese salt
Yes, it is also called Chinese salt in some places.
Is msg a must?
Hi @Zahabiya, I would say it is quite important. Because there are very few ingredients in this recipe, removing any one of them changes the taste quite a lot. But it really depends on your taste. Some people enjoy gentle flavors and are quite happy skipping the msg. If you want to skip msg, I would suggest that you increase the quantity of chicken because chicken naturally has msg like flavors.
@@JyotisLittleTreatCorner is there another ingredient you could suggest that could go well with this recipe?
@Zahabia I dont know any replacement for msg. But if you are talking about generally increasing the flavor of the fried rice, you can also add mushrooms. You can use either button mushrooms or oyster mushrooms, but both will give very different flavors to your rice.
Ginger garlic paste??
Not required Sir.
Its that simple.
Thank you Ma'am. Will try it definitely.
