Peaple who don’t actually ride their dirt bikes, agree with this.
I. Am. Speechless. Thats amazing
Great trick. Will definitely be doing that from here on out.
I've been riding for 32 years and this never crossed my mind.
HAHA! Crazy what you realize you don't know. I'm right there with you, I would have never thought of this - Chase
But if you've already changed the sprockets the chain has to come off. This is completely bs
cool but you still have to replace the sprockets so this "hack" is pretty much useless
That's what I was thinking, the sprockets were off so the old chain was off
Ya he even said after changing the sprocket, so it sounds like he put the old chain back on just to do this trick rather than just put the new one on 😆
Fr
Saves a solid 15 seconds lol
quit hating you know its a useful tip
Brilliant.
WOW! Awesome trick. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked it!
Best way to do this. Also works great with conveyor belting.
Great tip
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you thank you thank you! I’m getting ready to get the bikes ready for spring replacement sprockets and change you just saved me a boatload of frustration!
Makes no sense if you replaced counter shaft sprocket as stated - you don't do that with an old chain in the way - It is not difficult to feed chain thru. I'm calling BS on your trick
THIS!
I agree!!
It works he got the chain through
Umm. Got a point there. Would be a little tricky change a sprocket without removing the chain lol. So let’s see. He took off his old chain. Changed his sprockets. Reinstalled old chain to make new chain easy to instal? That’s like removing the motor to change the oil 😂😂
yes sir, thank u... evryone in the comments, "minds blown" has never changed a sproket before lol!@@Scummy_shovel
its a good looking trick, just its really just marketing for this youtube channel

Why have I never thought of this? lol
I got a new chain for my pit bike and I’m gonna do this.
awesome!!! thank you!!!! I was 47 years old when I found this out which is my current age LOL
You're very welcome!
That’s a cool hack
please explain how you replaced sprockets without removing chain
Ezee Pezee! Thanks.
Our pleasure!
May I ask when cutting chain length is it best to put the axle at the fairest point back in the swing arm and then pull it tight?
I think you want to bring the axle forward some so the chain has room to stretch. You’ll adjust it back as the chain wears. My new chain was about a link shorter than the old even though they were actually the same number of links!
Honestly I cut it to the correct number of links per OEM rather than eyeballing it
@@YogiTheBearMan or just buy a proper chain with correct length
Learned that when I was a youngster ! About 52 years ago
Im confused. If u change the front sprocket how did u not take the old chain off?
Amazing how those simple tricks make your life a lot easier! Could you make a video of how to “properly” cut it to size? Thx mate!
That is awesome definitely going to do that next time and I need to order new chain slide and guide can't find on the website
Wow, fuckinggreat idea dude!
How did he change his sprockets without taking off the wheel or chain
Sweet
You’re a damn genius
Been doing this on sport bikes for years but with all the room on dirt bikes it’s not really any quicker than just running it through which takes a few seconds
Nice
Maybe if you’re not replacing your sprockets this would work fine.
Don't you replace the front sprocket as well?
Wait…so you take the old chain off, remove wheel, remove old sprockets, install new sprockets, install wheel, install old chain and then use the old chain to install the new one?
Couldn’t you just skip straight to installing the new chain?
Maybe my old age is catching up to me.
I feel dumb for not thinking of that
good for chain but not for sprocket
How the hell did you change your sprockets without removing the old chain first 😂😂😂😂. I mean the trick works if you’re just changing the chain. But damn.
How do you replace the sprockets without removing the chain?
You might be able to loosen the axle adjustor bolts and move your front wheel forward and see if that gives you enough slack. But we recommend replacing the chain and sprockets at the same time to avoid premature wear on the other components.
What mean after all these dang years changing chains out and never thought of that 😳😐
Lol... who does the chain first ? 😂✌️
Pro tip
Dundee is in many years
If your replacing chain you change sprockets with them this is working backwards
So you replace the front sprocket with the chain on? This is BS at best
Why have I never done this 😢😂
Where os the trick??
Omg, so he replaced the sprockets, then manually re fed in the old chain to then use it to feed in the new. Double handling much.
So you swap out the worn sprockets, put on your old crusty ass chain again, only to use it to feed on the new shiny chain. Good on you RMC. Real clever.
😂
Wow? Try golf!
Soft
People hand feed chains? Why
Do some people honestly not do it like this, I'm amazed people can wipe their own bums sometimes... 😅
Also I usually replace sprockets and chains together....👍👌👍
I WANT CYCLE PRO
Makes zero sense, he put the old chain back on after the sprocket swap, this is ridiculous.
RMA your prices are getting out of hand. I pretty much quit using your site.
😂 why,,,,,if I'm installing a new chain I installed new gears, old chain is gone 😏
Is this a joke ?
My mans living in 2033
I like but with the exception that there is now rust particules un the system, the corrosion has began...
Nice !👍😎
