It was a small established settlement...with protectors of the treasures planted in it

Could it that the building on lot 5 , was there to store treasure under guard until tunnels were finished . They were not dug over night and the ships would need to leave in order to not attract any attention.
You might be correct. I think it was more of a barracks but hopefully we will get some answers yet this season on Lot 5.
There is a clear military presence on Oak Island due to it exceptional view of the whole bay.
I agree. This is what makes Lot 5 a great place to hide from the view of the whole bay.

OH that would be great if they ever do such a thing. I really wanted to see that done as well
I think all of the different people that came to the island came to open an account in the Templar Bank and Trust. So when they find all of the vaults on the island they will cover ar least French, British, Viking and a number of pirates. But seriously, I do believe there were a number of people that hid treasure on the island but most of them were regained by the hiders. The one that may be left is the big one by the Knights Templar. They are the ones that hid theirs to keep it safe for ever. Maybe it was retreived but it could still be there.
The Templar Bank and Trust! I love that and it probably isn't far off actually. Yes, I agree that it sure seems like there have been many here over the centuries. The thing that keeps me going that 'something' is still there is Ian Spooner and Dr Michels saying that with the level of gold and silver content in the water samples, something is still there.

The shears, but lot 5 is going to answer some historical questions we have...in my opinion
I think you may be correct.
Just because stuff was found on one lot doesn’t mean that it’s related any way to other lots. Shears would mean sheep 🐑 that means farming. Nothing to do with treasure.
I think you missed the point. You do not bury priceless relics and treasure then leave...you guard it. In order to guard it, you have to establish shelter, food, etc...a small settlement...with sheep and other live stock such as oxen...
@@reneecoddington2231 if that was the case then your point proves that the original story of finding treasure and a stone buried is false. Because no one was on the island when the money pit was found and some treasure was supposedly removed and the stone found. They wouldn’t be able to do that as the treasure would be guarded. Original story was fresh dug with a hoist on a tree and they saw a laturn. Turned up and say fresh dug ground. No overgrowth. The whole thing is a sham.
Wow..they have a lot of dirt to remove still and if they end the season right there, next year they would have to work all over to get again where they are...I mean,...this will take forever !!!!!!! Am I wrong???
You are not wrong. Seems like the archeology part is taking a long time. But then archeology is a slow methodical process. That's why there are no archeology reality shows I guess.
Rock walls could be part of holding pen for the working oxen or cattle for food.

They didn't have barbed wire and they didn't want to waste time building a stockade. And besides there were all those rocks from the beach and from excavations. So build a couple walls and fill with excavated dirt.@@Jfree906 Probably tore some of them down when done for filling the excavations they had done
Makes total sense
Just about anything they find is related to the logging days. For instance the boom chain.
But why would loggers have been 150' underground?
They should install a solar powered, battery back up'ed pump to the bottom of 10X and just pump 24hrs a day. After a few days if it is still salt water, they have missed a flood tunnel somewhere.

I would like to see an estimate by someone qualified to do such, of how many laborers and man hours it would take to do all the work that has already been found on OI. Include roads, dam building, cutting timber for tunnel shoring and excavating. Plus feeding/housing the workers. Using tools of the day. And how did they keep tunnels dry without modern high speed pumps? Didn't the old 6 page diary say they were encountering water and going to go deeper? How would that help?
Also are they encountering gas in the garden shaft like killed the 4 workers earlier. And, if so, could earlier excavators have also been killed by gas, thus explaining the bones found? I note ventilation ducts in place from the garden shaft now.
Good questions for sure. As far as the gas, they have speculated that it was H2S gas but I think it was CO2 that went down into the shaft due to the heavy air that day. Weather conditions and wind put the CO2 from the running engine down into the shaft. If it was H2S then they have not encountered it since.
Be honest, I want to know from you...between the shows you cover, isn't this the one that is more exciting for you?
Yes, but in a different way. I love treasure hunting for sure and I love a good story in history. On the flip side I do love the idea of life on other planets and the high strangeness of Skinwalker Ranch. Those guys are on to something out there for sure.

When they said bed rock they dontbtalk about tunneling or mining threw and or up into the bed rock and they never talked about possable tunnel to main land like the fort the french made ?
Yeah the Knights Templar were know for tunneling in rock... so why wouldn't it be IN the bedrock?

I will try to keep my explanation short and not too "preachy". Live chat doesn't work, and frankly it isn't needed at that point as it would distract from the broad cast. The Ark of the covenant is not there, and it is not any where. The prophet Jeremiah states this in the Bible. And this will bother people, but the reason Macabees isn't in the Bible is the author claims to state the opposite of Jeremiah's words. The Bible states after Israel is restored, they will not think about the Ark, nor will they remake it. That is Jeremiah says. This is why it disappears after Jerusalem is sacked, it was destroyed. It will not be remade is what Jeremiah states. So, the Ark is not on Oak Island. I do see hard evidence Templars were on Oak Island. Nolan's cross being the main one. The other big one is the Holy Grail. It never existed. From history, a Jewish carpenter did drink wine at passover from a cup. The detail of the cup is something Spielberg got right in his Indiana Jones movie. It isn't something people would save or set aside. Especially not what some might call "Orthodox Jews" today. It is the worship of an idol. Josephus stated the Romans paraded the spoils through the city after they took everything. This is shown on that arch. I could expound greatly on this, but this format isn't the place for it.
When it says 7 men must die before the treasure can be found - could that mean that there are 7 boobie traps gaurding the treasure that will cause death if they get set off?
No I don't think so. I believe the curse idea was made up some years ago to add hype to this story. Made up way before the Laginas were involved. I honestly wish that Prometheus would stop using it.
