      I've seen one of those blades on the back of a semi flatbed in Eastern Washington. They are unbelievably massive.
      I'm surprised that those turbines didn't move a little faster with a tornado coming at it.

    • @skinnyb8230

      I'm in western IL and there's farms everywhere throughout West-Central and Central Illinois. They store the blades and the tower sections on the grounds of an old factory that's since been leveled. The blades barely fit on flatbeds and they have to close off the when they move anything. Tower sections are also massive, as are the turbine hubs. I hope seeing the way a middle of the road tornado absolutely shredding that wind turbine blade and collapsing the structure gives people an appreciation for the awesome power of a tornado.

      @@MonLyica No, I didn't know, thank you!!! It appeared to me, as if they were somewhat professionally hunting a tornado out of obsession, adrenaline rush and media footage to sell, but now I understand, why they were taking risks.
      I hope their car is very sturdy and can withstand debris hitting it, since it looked dangerously close and it occurs, that researchers don't get as good equipment as they would require.
      As I think about it, I realize, if he has a PhD, he must be having the best, refreshed forecast data that there is and that's hopefully reachable in those moments, can analyze their collected data with his experienced knowledge on the go, hopefully allowing them to make better predictions were it could be safe for them on the road and where and when they could stop to collect more data.
      But I was wondering, why they had no better camera then to catch the footage, as it would be important, I guess. I hoped, the better cameras would be mounted on top of the vehicle, but the rain might be a problem there.
      But why were they so often yelling to close the window? Because of the danger of debris? Because of the rain? And why had they no headsets (maybe integrated in helmets, so the microphones could do better jobs at filtering the wind sounds), in order to not needing to constantly yell at each other. They must have sore voices, when they get home.
      I'm glad, that they're doing such an important job.

      this has more vorticies (that i know of) of the el reno of 2013, ofc vorticies do not equal strength but it definitely shows that this is possibly one of the most important tornadoes in history due to this footage alone- the fact it was semi-photogenic and had several vorticies means meteorologists could use this footage to learn more about how multi vortex tornadoes work.

    • @RT-mv7df
      @RT-mv7df 4 месяца назад

      @@The_Joshuan_Empire I speculate that most tornadoes are actually composed of smaller vortices internal to the outer condensation & debris cloud of the main rotating funnel. Sometimes this is seen in tornadoes where the large external condensation/debris cloud thins out enough to see into and partially through the tornado.
      This tornado also seemed to have vortices on the outside of the main large & opaque rotating funnel. This does make some sense as the air next to the main funnel rotates in an opposite direction like a high pressure next to a low pressure, except this is on a much smaller scale, and because the rotation is so compact & wind is so fast, it gets broken into many adjacent regions of smaller vortices to compensate for the rotation of the main funnel vortice.
