People always hate on Skyward Sword for being bad. I love this game. Flying is fun, Fi is actually a funny character and the terrain is completely different. As well, the music is whimsical, or dark depending on the mood. Being fully orchestrated makes it even more spectacular. This is my favorite Zelda game yet.
@@nackle_k everybody dismisses it as a horrible game because of motion controls and fi. also wow this comment is 5 years old thanks for bringing me back lol
@@nackle_k Yeah, a few people consider it the worst in the series? Like PhantomIsle said, people bandwagon on it for controls and Fi. Which I get, having played it again recently Fi is actually really unnecessary at times, interrupting gameplay and explaining things the game itself already explained through hints/cues or text. Controls are fine though, it's just something to get familiar with, rather than actual bad controls. In my opinion, the game does have a few flaws though, being quite repetitive, as well as forcing you to go back and forth between places over and over. A lot of time is spent just travelling, and not in a really fun way, either. Still my favourite Zelda, though. Definitely deserves more praise for music, characters, location design, many mechanics (I love its style, too? Some people say it's ugly, but I really like the more realistic character design and sort of painted backgrounds) and in no way could it be the worst. But also definitely far from perfect.
Fi was literally the sword, she was part of the formation of the master sword and hey, at least we didn't have Navi in this game, Fi was better A lot of people hate this game but is it a problem Nintendo took a different approach? I thought the motion control was fine, I focused on it and I felt more like I was in the game but i did take some getting used to but I thought it was nicer than clicing a button, you do the action. People hated the energy too. Was it annoying sometimes? Yes but it took a more realistic approach, Link is a person, he gets tired. Same thing with pouches durability, things break and Link won't always be able to fit megaton hammers in his pants Skyward sword was a game that you either loved or hated and I loved it, everything was new, it looked nice, sounded nice, and had a whole new way of playing zelda games, different type of gameplay that had its flaws but it think there were too mnay good things about it
Did anybody realize that Fi's life was pretty sad ? I mean, she was never able to feel emotions besides at the end of the game. Her only purpose was being Link's and the goddess' servant. Then at the end when she finally began to understand what it means to be grateful and capable to really feel true emotions she had to fall into an eternal sleep. Which means death.
Honestly we should feel happy. She completely fulfilled her purpose to be a servant to the goddess Hylia, as well as being the seal to hold away demise inside the Master Sword. Not only that, but she built an amazing relationship with Link that couldn't have been better which made the ending as good as it was. She knew from the beginning that is what would have to happen.

Everybody, stop hating on Zelda games, appriciate each one for what it is and stop comparing them to each other. Each Zelda game is amazing in it's own ways, like Skyward Sword is amazing for it's incredible soundtrack and awesome dungeons (along with some other things).
I've listened to this video SO many times since first year university, which was 6 years ago now. Why I've just chosen to like it and comment today? I don't know. But this compilation of songs helped me get through countless hours of studying, and I still listen to it on a nearly weekly basis. Actually, I listened to this before I even played Skyward Sword, so the game reminded me of the video instead of the other way around. Thank you for making this!
Aimzyrulez It would be great if they remade this game to be half as long and removed the fluff non-story cop out. And redid 95% of the soundtrack. This was barely a Legend of Zelda game, and probably the weakest in the franchise. The story itself is great and the plot is fantastic, but was poorly done..
Skyward sword was a great game with the plot but yeah also most of all the controls I hated thats only what let the game down in my opinion especially in the lumpy pumpkin doing the song with Kina it took me ages to complete it.
There are many wersions of Fis theme sucha as Fi's graditude and Fi's farewell. I was more thinking of Fi's farewell at the end of the game after beating Demise. I rather think you never finished the game.
You are correct by saying Fi's "farewell" might not be in the video, because it's called Fi's theme. Although, I do still believe that Fi's farewell is technically in the video because parts of Fi's theme are the same as Fi's farewell. I think you just didn't understand me. (maybe?)
Fi was actually one of the few companions that was not annoying... Midna was a bit... snarky for most of Twilight Princess... but Fi... it was as if there should have been something different. Honestly I liked Fi... despite her computer style of speech Fi was a really good companion.
honestly i wouldn't have minded her, and i bet nobody else would either, if only this game didn't inexplicably have ridiculously slow text scrolling. What the heck was up with that? how do you make a mistake like that on a flagship product?
Fi was way too annoyingly helpful. She's only surpassed by the information text box that pops up when you first pick up an item... EVERY SINGLE ******** TIME YOU LOAD YOUR SAVE FILE
ya know.... unusual curiosity... what would a character look like if you fused Midna with Fi... and crossed their personalities a bit... (took some of Midna's snarky attitude away but took some of Fi's attitude away as well) what would THAT companion look like... and act like for that matter...
My brother said he didn't really enjoy this game, so I'm not really excited about it, but what kind of Zelda fan would I be if I didn't play this one too??
me too. i mean my favorite will always be ocarina of time but i have to say this is objectively the BEST zelda.. twilight princess was probably the most perfectly put-together zelda, but this is the best.. Unfortunately its soundtrack is by far the worst.. but that's just because every other zelda game's is better.
Oh gosh... As im watching this, it brings back so many memories... This was my first Zelda game, and I completed it in 67 hours... It gives me chills down my back to hear these... And im not even 5 songs in yet! :D
I actually found this soundtrack surprisingly weak and unmemorable. Though, there are a few themes that stick out, like "The Sky", "Skyview Temple, "Skyloft", and "Fi's Theme". But other than that, it's shockingly weak for a Zelda game.
Perhaps SS is just trying to set a different mood for a new era of Zelda. Just like as games progress visually, games also progress with an intangibility such as orchestrated and "cleaner" soundtrack. However, I did feel that SS was a little more classy in tone, which isn't necessarily very good for a video game if you wanna talk about memorability. A better soundtrack would have a clearer melody with less emphasis on many instruments in my opinion.
***** Indeed! The soundtrack was still very good for what the composers wanted to accomplish for a new Zelda.. I just hope that Zelda U won't necessarily be like a SS style
I absolutely love this compilation, and thanks for putting timecodes in the description. When you get a chance, the names of the songs would be nice too :P. Awesome job.
We all can agree that pretty much all Skyward Sword songs are awesome, and that Ballad of the Goddess is on 1st, and that it has the best soundtrack EVER.
This is probably the greatest game to ever be thought in mind, made on a computer, n then played at home, So awesome in Every way possible. jepp obsessed much aha. And The soundtrack is just WOWW. It brings so much emotions to u when PLAYING like NINTENDO is just Amazing. Fi's theme is just an amazing song.
Whaaaaaaaatttt?! No Ballad of the Goddess? That was my favorite song out of the whole thing, and I have that set to wake me up every morning! :'( Still, its a great mix.

Oh man, Final Ghirahim, has got to be my favorite tune in this game. It always let me know when I was going to get some entertainment from Ghirahim's snobish attitude.
That's true. The astral observatory music made me feel kind off nostalgic first time I heard it.I have the same with a lot of Doctor Who music.Wind Waker is my big Zelda nostalgia trip, because it was my first Zelda.I play Twilight Princess too much to actually feel nostalgic about it XD. I only started playing OoT and MM a relatively short time ago.Zelda is something you feel nostalgic about very fast indeed, because it's such a wonderful experience.
I know that i'm kind of an oddball here, but Skyward Sword is actually my favorite Zelda game of all time.
Don't worry, you're not alone haha :)
Sienna Reb well at least that's a relief.
I'm with you!
captainjjb84 Yeah! Let's keep building the Skyward Army!!!!
Skyward Army, I like the sound of that!
FI IS SOO ANNOYING
Same it was a great game and one of the best Zelda games up there with the classics for sure.
Wait people call skyward sword a bad game? I haven't played it myself but it seems like a really fun game
@@nackle_k everybody dismisses it as a horrible game because of motion controls and fi. also wow this comment is 5 years old thanks for bringing me back lol

The most beautiful Zelda game hands down. 10/10 would play again
Uh...but now there's botw
Fi was literally the sword, she was part of the formation of the master sword and hey, at least we didn't have Navi in this game, Fi was better

Hunter Long only thing bad about it is how you had to fight the imprisoned 3 times
Ammon Phipps but it's a part of the main story and a hero can't always do the fun adventuring 😉
Not to mention in botw they bring back the stamina feature
I loved the idea of the harp. Almost Each Zelda game always have an musical instrument.
Oracle of Ages even has two.
Also Spirit Tracks, if you count the steam whistle.
Did anybody realize that Fi's life was pretty sad ?

I feel so sorry for her, In my opinion she's one of the best characters in the zelda series and deserves maybe a backstory
i agree with u. but i think we should leave her story how it is. its beautiful and should be left untouched. no need for backstory
And then she dies for good in Breath of the Wild T_T
Honestly we should feel happy. She completely fulfilled her purpose to be a servant to the goddess Hylia, as well as being the seal to hold away demise inside the Master Sword. Not only that, but she built an amazing relationship with Link that couldn't have been better which made the ending as good as it was. She knew from the beginning that is what would have to happen.
Why top 15 don't have "Ballad of the goddess"?
so true!!!
SO TRUE
Igotbored so true ?
...
...?
So Grooseland is better than the Ballad of the Goddess? Okay.
its his opinion after all ;)
You know it...... Grooseland forever baby!
I didn´t hate Fi at all... I just damn hated her every 6 or 8 hours of gameplay when she was all about the batteries issue.
i should put up the "official" list:
15: Grooseland
14: Skyview Temple
13: Tadtone Trial
12: Lanayru Desert - Past
11: Faron Woods
10: Earth Temple

Exactly, THIS is the comment!
Holy shit Grooseland ;u;
Wish that game could of gone on forever
THANK YOU for putting grooseland, that song is so beautiful it makes me tear up. Such an underrated moment in the game
I've never seen anyone use the file select screen theme on a list like this, props man, I'll give em' to ya
There as nothing about this game I hated. It was perfect.
tornadoe13 Fi? Motion controls? Repeditive backtracking?
The only thing I hated were the guardians.. they scared me sm I wish I was joking
My favourite Zelda Game of all
my fav is that theme of ghirahim ( demon lord ) if u want to listen : 19:19 / 19:47
have fun it's number 7!
I love that you put GrooseLand as the first one XD
my favourite zelda game

Isn’t it crazy how this compilation is 7 years old already? And I remember it being so recent too!! :o
I sure would love an HD Re-Release of this game on WIIU. :D
Nooooo that wouldnt be a good idea its just so new
What about a oracle remake or majoras mask
Nah too recent and the quality is already good
majora's mask sounds like a better idea dude

I have seriously listened to this about 20 times already... still not tired of this incredible music! It's just so... EPIC!!!
All Zelda's are best games ever!
Finaly someone who has Island in the sky's theme. It's so beautiful!!
Where's Fi's farewell?? ;(
at the end...
I don't think you finished it, did you?
There are many wersions of Fis theme sucha as Fi's graditude and Fi's farewell. I was more thinking of Fi's farewell at the end of the game after beating Demise. I rather think you never finished the game.
Chrono Fi's theme includes Fi's farewell, it is a combination of Fi's songs (but Fi's farewell and Fi's gratitude are very similar songs).

yeah Midna had a personality but Fi was more well spoken and less of a user...
Fi was way too annoyingly helpful. She's only surpassed by the information text box that pops up when you first pick up an item... EVERY SINGLE ******** TIME YOU LOAD YOUR SAVE FILE

Ah Fi's theme! One of the saddest and most soothing songs Ive ever head. One of the best in the Zelda franchise!
My brother said he didn't really enjoy this game, so I'm not really excited about it, but what kind of Zelda fan would I be if I didn't play this one too??
AyeGetitBroady This one is AWESOME, I also recommend playing Minish Cap, and Twilight Princess too!
I love the file select too! Glad you put it on here!
And why do people complain about the Skyward Sword soundtrack? It's unbelievable amazing!!
I love zelda skyward sword is my favorite
me too. i mean my favorite will always be ocarina of time but i have to say this is objectively the BEST zelda.. twilight princess was probably the most perfectly put-together zelda, but this is the best..
Unfortunately its soundtrack is by far the worst.. but that's just because every other zelda game's is better.
The ending music and sequence was the first time I had felt touched in a video game! Well done zelda!
my now top Zelda game Artistically and gameplay wise, let's see how Zelda Wii holds aginst it.
i wouldn't say gameplay tho
Jamza Gaming gameplay IS good, it's input that can be a little frustrating
Jesus Osvaldo Broch To be honest I never suffered from such control issues.
i also didn't have a problem
I love that part in the gme when the forest gets flooded! its cool an fun!
Cant believe there is no Ballad of the Goddess :O
Oh gosh... As im watching this, it brings back so many memories... This was my first Zelda game, and I completed it in 67 hours... It gives me chills down my back to hear these... And im not even 5 songs in yet! :D
just realise something... mainly harp and wind instrument... harp= angel = sky
wind instrument= wind= sky
Vincent Dufault wind = wind? MIND BLOWN
I cant waite to play this game again on christmas!!!
Skyward sword is awesome
That's the variation that plays when groose first sees the surface.
Does any one else pick up a Mario Sunshine vibe when listening to number 13 Tadtone Trail?
Yep I pick that up as well.
me to
Sounds like Noki Bay
Zelda games are always polished to perfection, Nintendo can top it. Twilight was amazing, as was this game.
Where the fuck is the goddess'song?! That the best song in that game!
I've always wanted to learn how to play Fi's theme. It's so beautiful!
I'm sure the Sandship theme could've replaced at least ONE of these songs. That's just my opinion.
Good choice of music. I love how the soundtrack for this game is all orchestrated, that sold it for me :)
I actually found this soundtrack surprisingly weak and unmemorable. Though, there are a few themes that stick out, like "The Sky", "Skyview Temple, "Skyloft", and "Fi's Theme". But other than that, it's shockingly weak for a Zelda game.

Luke Schlachter Reminds me of Kondo's style when you say it like that.
***** Indeed! The soundtrack was still very good for what the composers wanted to accomplish for a new Zelda.. I just hope that Zelda U won't necessarily be like a SS style
Somehow I felt the exact opposite, but hey to each their own! :)
Luke Schlachter Though I think it was because Kondo had little involvement in the sound. Hajime Wakai was the sound director.
I love Groose's song too (and a little crush on him ;-D)
i like skyward sword, it has a happy theme all over it :)
This just makes me want to go and play zelda all day!
I absolutely love this compilation, and thanks for putting timecodes in the description. When you get a chance, the names of the songs would be nice too :P. Awesome job.
who else was surprised by how good file select was?
We all can agree that pretty much all Skyward Sword songs are awesome, and that Ballad of the Goddess is on 1st, and that it has the best soundtrack EVER.
This is probably the greatest game to ever be thought in mind, made on a computer, n then played at home, So awesome in Every way possible. jepp obsessed much aha. And The soundtrack is just WOWW. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww link and zelda flyin together~! sooo cuuuute
The sky is so good
I know i'm late, but i think skyward sword actually had some pretty good songs. I LOVE Ghirahim's theme so much.
it doesnt matter if its only 2 years old if you havent thought about it in a while and you hear a song from it, it can still cause nostalgia
Awesome! It's magnifique!
I think the best song from Skyward Sword is the main theme
Wow what a throw back, it is weird skyward sword is one of my favorite zeldas?
Still nostalgic for me too lol
yeah, who dares have nostalgia beyond the 90's! Let's all live in the past!
awesome top 15, I loved it.
groooossso land XD love it
Whaaaaaaaatttt?! No Ballad of the Goddess? That was my favorite song out of the whole thing, and I have that set to wake me up every morning! :'( Still, its a great mix.
I usually listen to the save file music for 5 minutes before I turn the game off.
I love tht game!!!!
I'm not going to complain that much since you have made a great list. But I really think the "Love Theme" deserved a spot at the top 15 list.
i'm listening to this while making my homework!
これは直感的なゲームであり評価は様々ですが、濃密な作品であることに変わりはありません。そして私はこの作品が大好きです
i love the file select theme its just so relaxing and peaceful....
LOVED THIS GAME! ESPECIALLY THE PARTS WITH GHIRAHIM!
at times it really sounds like a Kirby OST
how could you not have balled of the goddess! that songs amazing!!!
Thank you for reminding me how boss Grooseland is
I can't believe the sky theme made second! it's my first for sure!!
14:46 Rolling on eyeballs.
19:04 My heart has filled with rainbows! :D
21:45 The fate of the world rests on your shoulders... like it has for nearly 3 decades.
25:55 *Runs around* *Picks up random stuff* "How the hell do I get to that Goddess Chest?!"
38:18 Free like a bird... :)
42:54 Master Link... The batteries in your Wii Remote are nearly depleted. I calculate an approximately 90% probability of you failing your quest if you don't change them.
has anyone ever noticed that Fi doesn't have arms. I mean we all knew that, but I never really thought about it until now.
Didn't know my opinion could be 'missing' something. Thanks for this very informative and helpful comment.
Groose's theme is my favorite.
Island in the Sky is definitely one of the top ones for me. :) so peaceful
number 3 makes me shiver so much....So many fond memories from playing Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time
Wow, I completely missed that. Thank you for pointing that out.
Oh man, Final Ghirahim, has got to be my favorite tune in this game. It always let me know when I was going to get some entertainment from Ghirahim's snobish attitude.
I don't understand why some people dislike this soundtrack. it's lovely and simple, as are the settings. It's fitting.
and Fi's theme for last.... love this video!
Not just a theory, the truth :)
I like 9 the best... It's just, fabulous! and 4 too :D
12 and 5 are my favourites, maybe cuz i like Lanayru in skyward sword so much
13 kinda sounds like a Mario water level :P
I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers that one :)
All the music in every Zelda game is equally epic and moving.
This game has kick ass music
this was very great
@DaLastBoss i loved it
That's true. The astral observatory music made me feel kind off nostalgic first time I heard it.I have the same with a lot of Doctor Who music.Wind Waker is my big Zelda nostalgia trip, because it was my first Zelda.I play Twilight Princess too much to actually feel nostalgic about it XD. ghirahim's theme is already in my subconscious. i found my myself whistling it alot. it's epic.
Exploring the Sky - One of the best
