Hi Kate it's absolutely brilliant when the 11 meters UK muppet band is open and I remember back in 98 the band was wide open and I had several QSO's in to northern Ireland and all that I was using at the time was a Harrier CBX 4 Watts and I had a Shakespeare ABS-1600 at the back of my parents house about 50 foot in the air and it was 21 foot long and a 5/8 wave and it had a gain of 12.5dbd and belive me it absolutely hammered out on the 11 meters and I had a Zetargi B-507 homebase linier amplifier and I could put out 300 Watts AM and FM and 600 Watts SSB and at the time I didn't really use it except when I spoke to a guy down in the Kent area and I put 200 Watts on and he just said bloody hell your 5-9+35 dB and I had a Zetargi M99 power echo Roger bleep microphone and everybody said my modulation was A Q5 every time but it was absolutely brilliant at the time. Great video! I want to get into dxing but only have FM rigs. I know SSB is used more often for DX but how achievable is it on FM? Is it very rare or relatively common? I am open to getting a burner to better my chances. Thanks 👍

Hi Kate I enjoyed listening to your DX I have notes on your video you keep talking about you running power 100 watts you should be using FM 4 Watts USB LSB 12 Watts & AM 4 Watts that is your legal power to use in the U.K. Kate just be careful and keep up the good work.
